Erik Lowry, the owner of Pittsburgh Tactical Firearms, is furious at Facebook after the company apparently shut down the page of his store late last week because it advertised an AR-15 giveaway contest.

Lowry says he received no word about any violations from Facebook and believes the website's actions were the result of an article published on Vocativ.

It complained that Lowry's giveaway went against the company's terms of service.

However, Lowry - who says he has lost thousands of dollars in just a few days as a result of the account removal - believes this is all a misunderstanding.

Five people were killed in a shooting at a Seattle-area apartment complex late on Sunday, including the suspect who was shot by officers, police said.

Officers were alerted to a shooting in progress at 9:30 p.m. PT (12:30 a.m. ET) by a 911 call from Federal Way, which lies between Seattle and Tacoma.

Gunshots were still being heard when officers arrived at the complex.

Earth's age is often debated, but Earth Day is 43 years old today.

Earth Day was born in 1970, a creation in large part of efforts by Gaylord Nelson, a Democratic U.S. Senator from Wisconsin, who died in 2005.

Denis Hayes, the national coordinator of that first day, said that he thought it had achieved many of its aims, despite the challenges of modern times.

Earth Day is designed to "[activate] individuals and organizations to strengthen the collective fight against man's exploitive relationship with the planet."

The Boy Scouts of America are one of the most famous groups for banning homosexual members, and it has seemed for the last few months that their views may finally change.

Now, the BSA is proposing a partial lift of the exclusion, allowing homosexuals to join as youth members, but not as adult leaders.

The proposed resolution comes after weeks of deliberation on the issue. The next step is to take it to a vote amongst the 1,400 members of the National Council.

Footage of a Kenyan trapeze artist plummeting 85 feet to the ground has hit the Internet, an accident that took place this week at the Moscow circus when the acrobat lost his grip.

Fortunately, a safety net was in place to break this man's fall and, even though the performer suffered a fractured vertebra, he is reportedly healing well.

Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev have been identified as the Boston bombing suspects, with authorities closing in on the latter following a shootout.

One of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects was killed with a bomb strapped to his chest after a violent standoff with police in Watertown, Mass., Friday.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, is dead. His 19-year-old brother Dzhokhar (pictured) is on the run. Officials believe they know the second suspect’s location.

The city of Boston, as well as neighboring towns, are on lockdown after the suspects robbed a 7-Eleven, then shot and killed an MIT police officer.

The duo then hijacked a car at gunpoint, and engaged in a battle with police using gunfire and explosives. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev fled; his brother perished.

For weeks, fear enveloped Kaufman County, Texas as two county prosecutors and one of their wives had been killed, and no one having an idea why.

An arrest now brings the case back to an elected official who'd been booted from office and allegedly held a grudge against those who helped convict him.

Eric Williams, 46, the county's disgraced former justice of the peace, was targeted by his wife, Kim, also 46, who confessed the couple's role in the murders.

Armed with explosives and guns, the Boston Marathon bombing suspects battled law enforcement officers in a Boston suburb early Friday morning.

The two men unleashed chaos and killed an MIT campus officer before police took one of the men into custody and the other fled, officials said.

The suspect taken into custody later died. Officials identified the man on the run as the "white-hat" suspect, referring to the photos released by the FBI Thursday.

Authorities warned he should be considered armed and dangerous.

The standoff with the suspects in Watertown, Mass., erupted after the fatal shooting of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer.

A transit police officer was also wounded in the Watertown firefight.

A University of Maryland sorority girl recently penned an email to her (apparently underperforming) fellow Delta Gamma sisters that defies comprehension.

Sometimes, when sorority girls are "LITERALLY being so fucking AWKWARD" or "so f--king BORING" or a "g-ddamn c-ck block for the chapter," well ...

You gots to lay the smack down. Hard.

The expletive-laden and CAPS LOCK-ridden email tirade, sent to the entire sorority chapter, is an all-timer. Hilarious, sad, scary, even offensive.

What prompted this? Evidently, the girls' inability to participate in Greek Week activities with fraternity Sigma Nu to the satisfaction of the board.

Their shortcomings? You're going to have to read for yourself, as an executive board member of the sorority (allegedly pictured above) let them have it.

UPDATE: The author, Rebecca Martinson, has since resigned. Her first name was initially changed in the version of the email that circulated below.
