How can a day on set with Robert Pattinson be anything but pleasant? When one is shooting such emotionally draining material that it tears one up inside.

Indeed, in an interview with MTV this week, Kristen Stewart opens up about the difficulty of filming New Moon, referring to it was "the one book in the series that I was intimidated by — in a good way."

"That's the best feeling to start a movie with," she said. "But probably, my favorite line in the book is when I have to say to [Jacob], "It's him; it's always been him!" Like, I have to say that. Yeah, it killed me, it killed me."

Stewart continued, trying to explain her feelings:

"Just like everything in our movie, it's such a heightened version of reality. It's like, people don't just break up [in the "Twilight" films] — they break up and it literally kills you."

Taylor Lautner also chimed in, dubbing New Moon as "very complicated."

"There's a lot of heartbreak, there's a lot of things going on. Edward leaves at the beginning, she goes into this depression, I come to try and bring her out of it. Then, I go through my own issues, and then she leaves me. It's all over the place."

Strike another blow for Team Jacob!

While Robert Pattinson is spending these days in bed with Kristen Stewart, Summit Entertainment is using Taylor Lautner to heavily promote New Moon.

He's featured in a sexy photo shoot with Stewart this week, and he's also the host of the latest trailer for the wildly-anticipated Twilight sequel.

"New Moon is a lot more complicated than Twilight was," Taylor says in the video below. "Bella is in such a deep depression when Edward leaves, and Jacob is the friend that will always be there for her... New Moon is going to be stepped up a whole other notch."

He also teases that the "heat starts building" between Jacob and Bella. Can you feel it, fans?!?

This week may have started with confirmation that Robert Pattinson is back together with Kristen Stewart (go Team Edward!).

But it's ending on an encouraging note for all Team Jacob supporters.

Stewart and Taylor Lautner, whose characters grow very close during New Moon, are featured in the latest edition of Entertainment Weekly. Below, they pose for a series of sexy photos together, followed by an interview in which they open up about their roles and each other...

Here are more revealing excerpts from Kristen and Taylor's interview with the magazine:

Stewart, on playing other roles: "If it was Twilight all the time, I would go mad. To just play one character for four years, it’s not what I do. I like to have variation. I like to change it up... I'm so not Bella. Thats just a different aspect of me."

Lautner, on playing Jacob: "It's challenging, because he's not human. I mean, what human walks around with a frown, looking like he wants to kill something?"

Lautner, on his friendship with Stewart: "[Jacob and Bella] are so open, and they can tell each other everything. So it was very important for me and Kristen to grow very close before doing this."

Stewart, on Lautner: "I love that kid. I would do anything for him. I would kill for him, literally."

Don't worry, Robert Pattinson fans. She'd serial murder for him.

Eclipse casting headlines have been dominating the news so much over the last week (with John Huston and Catalina Sandino Moreno as the latest to join the film) that it's easy to forget:

New Moon is actually the next movie in the Twilight Saga to hit theaters. It will be released on November 20.

Fans will be reminded of that when they see the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly: Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner grace the cover.

The pair's characters grow quite close in the Twilight sequel, of course, which Robert Pattinson told the magazine was fine with him: “It was a stress-free job for three months. All the pressure was on Taylor."

Inside the issue, Kristen and Taylor dish on a number of New Moon secrets. For example:

Stewart, on Lautner almost being replaced as Jacob: "I knew he had [to do] it. Just because of how I felt around him... We have that [BFF] relationship. It’s lamely cute.”

Lautner, on bulking up for his increased role: “My body fat got so low that we actually needed to increase it a little bit. My trainer would be like, ‘Go have a huge milk shake just so I can get a thousand calories into your body.’”

It may be impossible to top the New Moon sneak peeks revealed at Comic-Con last month.

Though not the highest quality, these videos depicted actual scenes from the upcoming movie, both of which focused on Taylor Lauter and Robert Pattinson with their shirts off. Hubba. Hubba.

But the latest New Moon news is almost just as exciting (read: HOT!): the film studio has released a few new promotional images of Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

In each, the actors are posing in their roles of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, respectively. It's almost as if they're staring directly into your soul. We hope you're sitting down, fans...

Guess New Moon viewers will have to settle for Robert Pattinson topless.

Last week, Jamie Campbell-Bower (who portrays Volturi villain Caius) claimed that a new scene was added to the Twlight sequel, one that would depict Volturi members in their birthday suits.

It sounded hot, and a little hard to believe.

Now, director Chris Weitz has released a statement, officially debunking this naked tale:

I would like to put everyone’s mind at rest and let them know that the Volturi are not naked! Jamie has what you might call a dry sense of humor and almost managed to convince me — which is why he’s such a good actor. Be assured that, even though we do want the look of the Volturi to be a bit of a surprise, they are always — as in the book! — fully clothed.

Darn. At least Edward and Bella will heat up the screen many times in the movie. To wit:

In other controversial New Moon news, chime in now on the Rachelle Lefevre firing. Do you think it was uncalled for?

The feud between Rachelle Lefevre and Summit Entertainment is only just beginning.

Rumors of a lawsuit between the actress and the movie studio are brewing, as the former feels like she was unfairly fired from the Twilight Saga.

When asked about the controversial switcheroo (Bryce Dallas Howard will now play Victoria in Eclipse and Breaking Down), Christian Serratos - who portrays Bella friendl Angela Weber in the franchise - said she wasn't pleased with the situation.

“It saddened me to hear about Rachelle and she greatly missed,” Christian Serratos told OK! magazine. ”Although under these circumstances, I am excited to work with Bryce and can’t wait to start filming!”

Fans can't wait to start watching, either. Or will this casting change affect your excitement over Eclipse?

What could be better than Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson shirtless?

Nothing.

But a group of hot, completely naked vampires at least comes close.

In an interview with MTV News this week, Jamie Campbell-Bower - who plays Volturi member Caius in New Moon - says a new scene has been added to the movie, one that was never in the book.

"We just all sit there, completely naked, for one scene," said the British actor. "Yeah, it's me, Michael Sheen and Christopher [Heyerdahl]; we just sit there, naked."

The scene in question centers around the back story of the Volturi, as Aro, Caius and Marcus are in a bathhouse, hanging out in a "Roman bath kind of thing," said Campbell-Bower.

It doesn't sound like Pattinson's birthday suit is featured at all in the film. Sorry, ladies. But you can always ask Kristen Stewart what that outfit looks like!
