Game on, Robert Pattinson.

Game. On.

Doing Promotion

In a just-released promotional photo for New Moon, Taylor Lautner poses with his shirt off and a sultry expression on his face.

This picture follows closely on the (hot!!!) heels of a still image from the movie, in which Lautner's Jacob comes ever-so-close to making out with Kristen Stewart's Bella.

Will Pattinson respond to the following pic, along with Lautner's attempt to steal his girl, with a topless shot of himself? Millions of women around the world sure hope so.

So, does this photograph of Lautner sway your mind? Do you think he's hotter than Pattinson? Let us know below.

Who would you rather sleep with?

While fans continue to buzz over the most recently-released photo from New Moon - which posits a lonely Bella next to an amorous Jacob - director Chris Weitz is opening up about the movie.

In a wide-ranging interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Weitz dishes on the film's computer-generated graphics, his favorite scene and more.

Enjoy these excerpts from the discussion:

On implementing special effects: "We are still in the late phases of what Edward looks like when he's hit by sunlight, what the vampires look like when they're hit with sunlight, the diamond effect, and also the hallucinatory effect that Bella has when she hears Edward's voice and she imagines him there."

Chris Weitz directs Kristen Stewart in this scene from New Moon.

On realism of the Volturi: "They're not levitating above the ground, they're not surrounded by mystical auras, they are creatures who actually exist and they're very specific, they're very stylish, they're very elegant, they're very dangerous. Essentially, it's really faithful to the book."

On his favorite scene in the movie: "When Bella goes to try to stop Edward from killing himself. We had a thousand extras in this medieval town square in a hill town in Tuscany, in the most beautiful country on earth, and it was such an extraordinary opportunity to get to work there."

On directing Breaking Dawn: "I think it's really charming that, not having seen New Moon, people would be enthusiastic about me wanting to do Breaking Dawn. I think the proof is in the pudding, and they should see New Moon before they decide if they want me to do anything else to do with their series. But I would hope to earn that kind of rumor."

As production on New Moon wraps up - and every female under the age of 23 counts down until the movie's release date on November 20 - attention is turning to the film's soundtrack.

While fans are buzzing over the possibility that Adam Lambert wants to record a song for it, director Chris Weitz didn't mention the American Idol's name in a recent interview.

Instead, he pointed to a pair of other artists as leading contenders to be featured on the album.

"We are just starting to put together what bands are on the soundtrack, so it's kind of like keeping ten plates spinning at once," Weitz said. "Everything is still kind of up in the air, but I am surprised at some of the bands that have said they're interested... The criterion will still always be what's right for the movie at that given moment, but Thom Yorke is interested; we might, if we're very lucky, get Kings of Leon to do something."

Yorke's band, Radiohead, closed out Twilight with its song "15 Step." Think he'd be a good choice for New Moon?

As you ponder that possibility, browse through an assortment of New Moon movie stills. Enjoy!

This is not the first New Moon photo we've published from the movie, nor will it be the last.

But it might be the most controversial.

Kristen in White

In the following shot from the Twilight sequel, Bella and Jacob sit across from each other in the car, recreating one of the most memorable scenes from Stephenie Meyer's novel.

As fans of the series know, Bella (Kristen Stewart) nearly gives into temptation with Jacob (Taylor Lautner). Can you blame the gal? Edward has been absent from her life for awhile at this point.

The New Moon passage this scene is likely based on takes us inside Bella's thought process as she stares into the eyes of the dreamy Jacob Black:

Would it be so wrong to try to make Jacob happy? Even if the love I felt for him was no more than a weak echo of what I was capable of, even if my heart was far away, wandering and grieving after my fickle Romeo, would it be so very wrong?
- New Moon 16:375

Would it be wrong, readers? You tell us.

Are you on Team Edward or Team Jacob?

A handful of readers may have already been excited about Bandslam, the music-driven comedy starring Vanessa Hudgens, Aly Michalka and Gaelen Connell that opens on August 14.

But many more should now circle that date on their calendar, as a new preview for the film promises an "exclusive look" at New Moon prior to the featured movie.

Various sources confirm that a new trailer for New Moon will debut in theaters, along with Bandslam, over that mid-August weekend.

In other words: get your fill of Hudgens, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart for the price of one ticket! We understand if you now leave our site to pre-order a few tickets.

Across the nation, millions of women fantasize about Robert Pattinson on a daily basis.

Similarly, in the book New Moon, Pattinson's character of Edward Cullen is rarely actually present; he exists, almost entirely, as a voice in Bella's head, following the heartbreaking end to this couple's relationship.

How will this be depicted on the big screen? MTV asked that question to co-star Michael Welch.

"They figured out a very clever way to get Edward back in the film much more than he is in the book," said the actor that plays Mike Newton. "In the film, it's more of like a hallucination kind of thing. He will be [in the movie more than the book] for sure."

R. Patt

Fear not, ladies: you'll see plenty of this handsome mug on the big screen in New Moon.

Life certainly seems easy for Robert Pattinson.

He stars in popular movies, he's ogled at by women everywhere, he goes home to Kristen Stewart almost every night.

But the man that plays Edward Cullen is always looking over his shoulder, wondering who the next young stud that threatens his place in the Hollywood pecking order will be.

Enter Jamie Campbell-Bower.

This rising star is also British, also dons wild hair and has also landed a critical role in New Moon, one directly opposed to that of Pattinson. Campbell-Bower will play Caius, the leader of the Volturi. It's safe to say that he and Cullen don't agree on one major issue:

Edward wants to love Bella, while Caius was to kill Bella. Awkward!

Jamie Campbell-Bower Photo

Jamie Campbell-Bower is about to make life a lot more difficult for Robert Pattinson, on and off screen.

Who will win the battle between Campbell-Bower and Pattinson? The latter is next starring in a random movie called Remember Me, while the former will portray Gellert Grindelwald in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Advantage, Jaime? You tell us.

You might wanna drink some tea with honey, young readers. You're gonna need to preserve those vocal chords if the following rumor comes true.

Following talk that Adam Lambert would contribute a song to the New Moon soundtrack, E! News asked the crooner about the possibility.

His answer was simple, yet revealing - and exciting!

"That's just another rumor. That would be really cool. I should [do it]."

Ummm, yeah you should! Does anyone know the phone numer of the New Moon music supervisor?

Can fans handle Adam Lambert and Robert Pattinson in the same movie? We may soon find out!
