After a few months on the shelf following hip surgery, Lady Gaga returned to the spotlight this week to sing the National Anthem at NYC's Gay Pride Parade.

The LGBT community is, of course, near and dear to Gaga's heart, and she let them know it Saturday with this rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" ...

“It’s my LGBT friends and fans who always said to me, 'I knew Lady Gaga when...'” she said. “Well, look who the star is now. Now I get to say I knew you when."

"When you suffered, when you felt unequal, when you felt there was nothing to look forward to,” she added as she launched into the song with a rainbow flag.

At the end, she changed up the lyrics a bit, replacing “star-spangled banner” with "star-spangled flag of pride” and “home of the brave” with “home for the gays.”

Mariah Carey took to the stage last night during the 2013 BET Awards for a rendition of her hit "#Beautiful."

Afterward, though, Twitter was not blowing up with talk of Mariah's talent or excitement over her upcoming tour. Instead, many were left wondering:

Did Carey lip sync?!?

There's little doubt Miguel is rapping live in the following video, but at least one Twitter user has dubbed Carey a "professional lip syncher" after watching her allegedly mouth words to the single.

In news that comes as a surprise and yet somehow not, Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" music video has been parodied! By dogs! Singing "We Can Bark!"

The brilliance of this canine spoof is in the level detail. Take a look:

"I'm a doggie, I can do what I want," the dogs declare. "I'm a puppy, I can do what I want / I can lick what I want, bark when I want, roll where I want."

Lyrically and visually, the comparisons are obvious. Some of the best:

  • "Maltey Cyrus" ditches her collar; Miley removes her bracelet
  • A pug eats a big sandwich of money, just like some dude did
  • That weird ass skull made of fries is now made of dog treats
  • A pug licks a stuffed pug; Miley mauls a Miley-esque doll
  • Dog kibble spelling BARK; alphabet soup spelling TWERK
  • Speaking of Miley Cyrus Twerking ... the dogs hold their own
  • Neither can be tamed, in different senses of the word

Watch Miley's original, much-taked-about video below for comparison:

Taylor Swift is beloved by millions, but to the Westboro Baptist Church, this is emblematic of the fact that our society is going straight to ... you know.

“This girl is a whore,” Ben Phelps, the leader of group said in announcing the WBC's plan to protest her August 3 concert in Kansas City, Missouri.

Taylor Swift Curves

The WBC called Taylor “the whorish face of doomed America” in a press release, and Phelps explains, “She’s widely loved. She’s got huge approval ratings.”

“What she’s famous for is hopping around from one bed from another. This girl is a whore. Who else is gonna say that if it’s not the church of the Lord Jesus?"

Imagine if this guy saw Miley Cyrus Twerking.

Beyonce's latest single has just leaked online, and "Standing on the Sun" has the markings of a summer hit, with its upbeat melody and sizzling lyrics.

"Feel like I'm on fire when you touch me," she croons. "My body is yours tonight."

Oh, Bey. Stop. You don't need to tease us like that. We know it's Jay's.

Take a listen to the tropical track below and see what you think:

Beyonce already previewed the song, performed it during the Belgium stop of her Mrs. Carter World Tour in May, and used it in her H&M commercials.

Still, it hasn't dropped in studio form until this moment.

What do you think of "Standing on the Sun"?

The songwriter behind such hits as Katy Perry‘s "Teenage Dream," Britney Spears‘ “Hold It Against Me,” and Taio Cruiz‘s song “Dynamite," among many other singles.

And McKee is quickly making a name for herself... by taking advantage of these other names, featuring pretty much every celebrity alive in the following video.

You should be proud of your daddy this morning, North West.

He's the number-one artist in all the land!

After one week on the market, Kanye West's new album sits atop the Billboard 100, although there is a catch to the good news: "Yeezus" also marks the weakest debut of the star's career.

  • Kanye West Album Cover
  • Kanye West Death Stare

The album sold 327,000 copies in its opening seven days, a figure far behind "The College Dropout" in 2004, which moved 441,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Miley Cyrus may not have been flirting with Justin Bieber a couple Saturdays ago at a late-night party, but the singer was flirting with history last week.

And now she's made some of her own.

The artist's "We Can't Stop" music video music video has set a record for most views in a 24-hour period, with 10.7 million hits upon its release last week.

That just barely topped Bieber's mammoth hit "Beauty and Beat," which amassed 10.6 million in a single day in October 2012. Way to go, Miles!

Cyrus took to the Jimmy Kimmel Live stage last night to celebrate with a rendition of the hit ... with slightly less Twerking than the official video:
