The X Factor may have crowned Melanie Amaro as its first champion, but that talented singer isn't the only contestant to benefit from her time on the show.

Sources confirm that Josh Krajcik, Chris Rene and Astro will all sign recording contracts with Sony Music, encouraging news for the second, third and seventh place finishers, respectively.

Krajcik, of course, quickly became a fan favorite after viewers both heard his soulful voice and learned he had been working at a fast food Mexican restaurant.

Rene, meanwhile, earned a large fan base due to his dancing and energy on stage, while Astro - real name: Brian Bradley - was the most controversial crooner on the show, a rapping savant with a cocky attitude that turned off many viewers.

We wish all the very best of luck!

Britney Spears is making this holiday season memorable with gifts to her fans - and we're not just talking about her engagement to Jason Trawick, nice as that was.

Earlier, she released a new/old song, "Strangest Love," reportedly recorded (but never released) for 2003's In The Zone. Now another new song has surfaced online.

It's an acoustic version of “Don’t Keep Me Waiting,” which was clearly enhanced with production on the album version. But this one is fun to listen to in its own way.

Listen to Britney Spears in a rare acoustic setting and see what you think:

We'd rather have a Mustang convertible, but this isn't an awful consolation gift.

Justin Bieber debuted a new single this week, telling those in attendance at his Home for the Holidays convert at Massey Hall in Canada, that the track may be included on his next album.

It's titled "Be Alright" and, as Justin says simply in the following video, it's a "love song," one meant to convey a message to one's significant others: in the end, no matter how bad things get, everything is gonna be alright.

Watch/listen now and then sound off: What do you think?

The autopsy results for Heavy D are in.

The iconic rapper reportedly passed away in November from a pulmonary embolism - a blockage in one of his arteries, initiated by a blood clot in his leg - which may have been exacerbated by a long flight to the Michael Jackson memorial concert.

The L.A. County Coroner's Office has listed Heavy D's death as "natural" and added that the artist suffered from heart disease.

Relating his passing to the long flight he took to Europe a few days prior is speculation, but such extended inactivity is a common cause of death for those with deep leg vein thrombosis.

"Stuck On F***in' You," an unreleased track off Lady Gaga's Born This Way album, is her Christmas gift to her Little Monsters. How very poignant and festive of her!

Says Gaga:

"So to give you a little background to the creation of this song. I wrote it in Minnesota after the Monster Ball on the tour bus. We recorded it in one shot. Fernando on guitar, Paul on Drum Machine. I wrote, sang it, and freestyled the last minute + a half of the song."

She notes, "We're in Minnesota/And it's a sold-out show again isn't exactly inspired free-styling, but there you have it. Christmas with bad words."
