Danity Kane is no more. The girl group that came together on season three of Puff Daddy's Making the Band, and proceeded to perform well below expectations has officially broken up.

Danity Kane in Concert

The decision comes on the heels of a blowout fight between Aubrey O'Day and Dawn Richards, two of DK's founding members.

Kane hasn't had a hit since 2008, but they recently returned to the studio to record a comeback album, and were said to be confident they'd be able to conquer the charts once again.

Sadly, their reunion seemed doomed from the start. Aundrea Fimbres quit the group almost immediately after re-joining, leaving just O'Day, Richards and Shannon Bex behind.

When songbird Ariana Grande released her new song “Break Free,” a lot of attention was paid to its Star Wars inspired lyric video, as well as its EDM influences.

It also raised eyebrows with its lyrics, which make no damn sense.

Don't blame Ariana, though, for gems like “Now that I’ve become who I really are” and “I only wanna die alive,” because producer Max Martin made her do it.

“I fought him on it the whole time,” Grande says. “‘I am not going to sing a grammatically incorrect lyric, help me, God!’ Max was like, ‘It’s funny - just do it!'"

Begrudgingly, she agreed, but Grande, whose My Everything album drops this month, says "I know it’s funny, but grammatically incorrect things make me cringe.”

“I was like, whatever, let’s do it and have some fun ... I need to shake it off and let it go and be a little less rigid and old. I’m like 90. I need to not be that old!”

As for the new song's message, grammar issues aside?

Singer-songwriter Marianne Faithfull says in an interview with Mojo magazine this month that Jim Morrison's 1971 death was not an accident.

In fact, she claims, the star's Parisian bathtub demise was a murder.

One that her ex-boyfriend Jean de Breteuil was responsible for.

Now 67, Faithfull recalled that fateful night after she had traveled to France with de Breteuil, a heroin dealer whose clients included high-profile celebs.

They went to Morrison's Paris apartment, at 17 Rue Beautreillis.

"I could intuitively feel trouble," Faithfull recalled, resulting in her taking "a few Tuinal" and conking out. "He went to see Jim Morrison and killed him."

"I mean I'm sure it was an accident. Poor bastard."

Her feud with Azealia Banks is just heating up, but now it seems Nicki Minaj will have to fight a war on two fronts, as one of her oldest beefs has officially been rekindled.

Lil Kim has been taking shots at Nicki for years, but a song the former Biggie protege released today might be her angriest diss track to date.

The track is titled "Identity Theft" and, well, we thing the cover art says it all:

Yes, that's Kim's driver's license (with a fake address and five years shaved off her age) with Nicki's photo on it.

We're no experts on subtle imagery, but we're pretty sure it's Kim's way of saying Nicki copied her style.

Beyonce and Jay Z may be headed for divorce, but we imagine nice nine-figure pay day must help soften the blow.

Yes, the allegedly troubled couple's On the Run tour wrapped up its North American leg and topped $100 million in revenue this week.

On the Run Tour Art

It's a certainly a nice haul, but on the downside it only lends more credence to rumors that Jay and Bey are staying together for business purposes.

The first portion of the highly publicized tour concluded with several shows throughout California. Naturally, fans on hand say the Carters behaved strangely during the concerts.

One witness at the Pasadena show even claims Jay appeared to ignore Beyonce, and walked several feet in front of her when they changed stages.

Remember in April when the Australian cast of The Lion King broke into song amidst a flight from Brisbane to Sydney?

Well… consider this the circle of awesome life: the Broadway cast of this smash musical just did the same thing on board a New York City subway.

On June 28, while on a break between a matinee and evening performance, nearly 30 actors raised their voices and delivered an a capella rendition of “Circle of Life," making it clear why The Lion King is Broadway’s first-ever $1 billion show.

Check out the very cool musical stunt below:

Weird Al gets White & Nerdy in this hilarious 2009 music video parody of "Ridin' Dirty."

A petition has launched on Change.org that urges the NFL to select Weird Al for the big game on February 1, with over 40,000 names affixed to it as of this writing.

"Think about the Super Bowls of past years, when you had no vested interest in either team, especially during a game that was a blowout or boring," says Ed Ball, a fan from Seattle who started the petition while drunk.

Azealia Banks had an unexpected viral hit in 2011 with "212," and in the years since she's followed it up with...nothing.

Sure, the occasional Twitter feud kept her in the news (the Azealia vs. T.I. tweet beef back in June is the stuff of online legend), but Banks refused to drop any new music until she was released from her stifling record deal.

Well, that day finally came last week, and the Harlem-based MC hit the ground running.

Banks debuted "Heavy Metal and Reflective" online the same day that longtime rap rival Nicki Minaj was set to drop her latest single, an act of war that may have forced Minaj to delay the release of "Anaconda."

Now, Azealia's premiered the surprisingly action-packed video for "Heavy" just one day after "Anaconda" hit the web. Industry insiders have been calling Banks the future for years, and it seems clear she's intent on making Nicki a thing of the past.

Look out, music fans: An anaconda is on the loose!

Nicki Minaj (who is also featured on the Flawless Remix with Beyonce released over the weekend) has come out with her latest track, the same one she teased with a booty-based cover art shot last week.

"Check out the WORLD PREMIERE video snippet of Anaconda. Now on iTunes!!! #AnacondaOniTunes Official…” the 31-year-old rapper wrote on Twitter last night.

You heard the woman, people! Watch the video teaser and then listen to the track now:

Minaj received some flak for her G-string themed photo last month, prompting her to go off on a double standard, claiming white woman can show off their rear ends with no problem... while the same isn't true when it comes to African-Americans.
