The nominees are in for the fourth annual American Country Awards, and to the surprise of no one at all, Taylor Swift leads the way with eight nominations.

The 23-year-old megastar, who somehow failed to actually win one last year, is up for Artist of the Year and Single of the Year for her song, "Begin Again."

After news of Lou Reed's death broke early Sunday, many celebrities took to Twitter to mourn the loss of the Velvet Underground frontman and rock icon.

"The world has lost a fine songwriter and poet… I’ve lost my ‘school-yard buddy,'" wrote Reed's Velvet Underground co-founder John Cale on Facebook.

Lou Reed, a rock legend who fronted the Velvet Underground and wrote a majority of that band's singles, passed this morning, according to Rolling Stone.

He was 71 years old.

The Ohio State University marching band celebrated the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson's album Bad at last weekend's game, it was pretty darn impressive.

Performing a tribute to the late King of Pop, the ensemble played "Thriller," "Bad" and "The Way You Make Me Feel" and other MJ hits for the massive crowd.
