In January, Lana Del Rey made headlines for a Saturday Night Live performance that... well... sucked.

Now, the singer is back in the news for another, retro reason: in the official music video for the track "National Anthem," Del Rey makes like former First Lady Jackie Onassis, while rapper A$AP Rocky - yes, the A$AP Rocky! - portrays a version of JFK.

The seven-minute and 40-second video begins with Del Rey singing "Happy Birthday" to her pretend husband, Marilyn Monroe style, and concludes with his infamous assassination. It's bound to garner a lot of press.

Watch and react now:

The Spice Girls are back, and apparently still quite popular.

The famed pop quintet reunited in London on Tuesday morning to announce an upcoming West End musical based on their music: Viva Forever!

It's the first Spice Girls reunion since their 2008 tour.

In response to the fivesome's return and announcement, “Spice Girls” and “Viva Forever” were trending internationally on Twitter this morning ... girl power!

A promoted tweet from Katy Perry, who is a relative newcomer to pop stardom when compared to the Spice Girls, was the only thing that could keep pace.

As a testament to the enthusiasm that greeted the lovely ladies in London, the Spicy topics continued to trend online for hours after the announcement.

Were you Tweeting about it? And are you excited for a Spice Girls musical?

Somewhere, Rock & Roll induction committee members are collectively cracking a smile.

Axl Rose was starting to run on stage to sing "Sweet Child o' Mine" in concert on Saturday, only to trip and fall onto the stage. We're talking full on face plant.

Nevertheless, give the man credit for rallying hardcore. He not only got up and carried on like nothing happened, but launched into the song right on cue.

Don't you cry for Axl's November PAIN ... or some other non-terrible GNR-related joke.

Lily Allen made the announcement today that fans of the British singer have been awaiting for months: she's returning to the music scene!

"You will be pleased to know that i am currently in the f--king studio with [producer] @GregKurstin," Allen Tweeted yesterday.

Lily Allen Close Up

In 2010, Allen announced that she was taking a hiatus from recording in order to dedicate time to fashion projects and also to work on her personal life, which has unfortunately included two miscarriages over recent years.

But Allen and husband Sam Cooper welcomed a girl in November and it now sounds like she's prepared to churn out new tracks and maybe even a new album. What can we expect from the singer? Not even she knows.

"No big deal really, im just throwing s--t at the wall and seeing if anything sticks," she wrote.

Mariah Carey has enjoyed a busy last couple months.

She's renewed her wedding vows. She's celebrated Barack Obama's support of gay marriage. She's turned 42 years old.

And, unbeknownst until now, the legendary singer has also spent time in a recording studio. How else to interpret Mariah's Tweet from yesterday, which certainly seems to tease an upcoming album and was accompanied by the following photo:

"So.. Summer 2012.. Been in the lab, mixing up some concoctions for you, hope you like it!! #MCSummer2012”

Are you excited for a new Mariah Carey album?

Call her maybe. But don't dare call her a one-hit wonder!

So Carly Rae Jepsen must be thinking at this point, as she has followed up her debut smash single with "Good Time," a just-released new track that features Own City (aka Adam Young).

The main takeaway from this summer anthem? It's always a good time. No, really. Always. We hear that refrain over and over, but take a listen now and just try to get the tune out of your head...

The song will be available for digital download on June 26.

Drake is back in the news for his music, though he's courting controversy there as well, as his collaboration with 2 Chainz is believed to be a shot at Rihanna.

A week after the infamous Chris Brown-Drake fight - allegedly over Rihanna - went down at New York's W.i.P nightclub, the new video is raising eyebrows.

That's because in "No Lie," Drake joins 2 Chainz and raps rather negatively about a girl who happens to be a Grammy winner. Makes you wonder.

"Aww that look like what's her name, chances are it's what's her name/Chances are if she was actin' up then I f--ked her once and never f--ked again," he raps.

"She could have a Grammy, I still treat her ass like a nominee/Just need to know what that p--sy like so one time is fine with me."

Obviously, he doesn't specifically call out Rihanna by name, but it's hard not to speculate, given that he's been linked to her multiple times.

All we know is that Drake's Young Money boss Lil Wayne wants to end the beef with Brown ASAP so everyone can go back to focus on the music.

They can still bash each other, and certain female stars, plenty that way. Take a listen above ... though it's almost as NSFW as the Octomom porn trailer.

Mischa Barton doesn't exactly pull a Shia LaBeouf in the latest music video from Noel Gallagher, but the very skinny actress does sprint around in her underwear for multiple minutes.

Set to the single "Everybody's on the Run," Barton plays a woman whose dress gets caught in the door of a cab driven by Gallagher. She then runs down the street after the taxi, only to eventually bump into a skateboarder and fall in love.

It doesn't exactly make tons of sense. Then again, neither does the fact that Barton can actually stand upright on legs the width of toothpicks. Check out all the nearly naked action now:

The premiere of VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta this week contained a pretty surprising accusation on the part of one cast member, singer K. Michelle.

K. Michelle didn’t actually mention her alleged domestic abuser by name, but dropped enough hints that the Twitterverse was buzzing about who it was.

Mickey “Memphitz” Wright.

K. Michelle and Memphitz

Memphitz is a music executive at Jive records and is also married to Lil’ Wayne’s ex-wife, Toya. He was also one of the hosts for BET’s show The Deal.

That show also starred Nicki Minaj’s DJ, Diamond Kutz. Anyway, K. Michelle said she was in a violent relationship with the man who signed her at Jive.

Specifically, she said “beat her ass.”

K. Michelle said he “blacked out” on her with physical abuse during their relationship, then blew her entire recording budget on toys and chains for himself.

For her part, Toya, who is currently in Paris with Memphitz celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary, re-tweeted a comment in defense of Memphitz.

She also calls K. Michelle a “hater.”

Katy Perry has said time and again lately that she's not perfect and that her life is not a fairy tale. This is the theme of her "Wide Awake" video.

It starts off with KP wrapping up the shoot for "California Gurls," before being transported to an alternate reality by a younger version of herself.

Take a look at it below and tell us what you think!

"It's kind of like the labyrinth of my life in the last two years," Perry explained to MTV.

"I just wanted to tell a story about myself kind of going through this journey, maybe sometimes trying to get out of a maze. There's good parts and bad parts."

Is one of those bad parts an allusion to Russell Brand?

She'll probably tell you it doesn't, but at one point of the music video, our fair Katy Perry meets - and decks - her Prince Charming. Fitting.
