Who better to produce an Elton John biopic than...Elton John?

John's company Rocket Pictures is currently working on a movie about the artist's life called Rocketman.

But here's the best part: Tom Hardy is the frontrunner to star.

Who doesn't want to hear Hardy with a Bane breather on, mumbling his way through Pinball Wizard?

FilmDistrict definitely does. The distribution company is near a $10 million dollar deal for the U.S. rights to Rocketman.

"I really wanted Tina in Veronica Mars," Thomas said. "To say I wrote Mac with Tina in mind would be an understatement. I wrote Mac for Tina, and Tina only. Veronica needed a female friend, and a Q to her Bond.

"Tina felt like just the sort of girl that Veronica would like and respect. I couldn't be more pleased that she'll be with us for the movie."

Comedy trailers are hard to pull off.

The temptation is to spoil all the jokes, but really, they should just show you how fun the movie looks.

In a World looks fun. Good job, trailer editor!

Watch the In a World trailer below:

Lake Bell, who also wrote and directed, stars as Carol, a voice coach whose father as a famous voiceover guy.

When Carol attempts to break into the world of movie trailer voiceovers herself, she butts up against decades of preconceptions about what those voiceovers should sound like.

If you have either eyeballs or earballs, you know that Apocalyptic, End of the World, Doomsday Raptureporn is all the rage in Hollywood these days.

You’ve got your World War Zs, your Oblivions, your Seeking a Friend For the End of the Worlds.

As such, you want to make your Apocalypse movie stand out. You want some kind of new take. Especially in a comedy.

This is the End Cast

This is the End does not really offer a new take. So as a rapture film, it’s kind of dull. As a “bunch of dudes hanging out” movie, though, it’s expectedly hilarious.

It's weird that in a fast-paced scene set inside a moving armored vehicle, the dialogue sounds like it was recorded inside a Museum of Natural History.

But that's the way action dialogue always sounds: so resonant and forward. How else would lines like "Jackpot!" and "Yeah! That's what I'm talkin' about" land with any emotional significance.

I kid the action movies. But really, who talks like this? See what I mean in the first clip from White House Down:

Tatum stars a John Cale, a man who finds himself in a position to save the President (Foxx) after a paramilitary group attacks the White House.

300: Rise of an Empire Poster

Sullivan Stapleton stars as Themistocles, an Athenian leader during the Battle of Artemisium, between the Persian Empire and the Greek City-States.

See? Should have paid attention in your ancient history so you could understand the plots to action movies.

Fun fact: Michael Bay has only had two films reach above a 50% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

But when it comes to giant action flicks, there's nobody....not better...what's the word I'm looking for?

Let's go with "Explodier."

That's why Bay is working with Ubisoft and Warner Bros. to develop a movie adaptation of the Ghost Recon video game.

The director, who is currently working on Transformers 4, may or may not direct the film. That all depends on what direction the screenwriter--yet to be found--decides to go with the project.

In the upcoming film Elysium, Matt Damon plays a man that lives in a mumbly futuristic dystopia where everyone is inaudible.

Sounds terrifying!

The first trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is here!

And boy is Smaug Desolated (I'm not really sure what that means)!

Take a look:
