It hasn't exactly received the same coverage as Jamie Dornan landing the role of Christian Grey, but Tom Hardy will portray Elton John in an upcoming biopic about the legendary artist.

The Wrap confirmed this casting news late yesterday, reporting that Hardy will anchor Rocktman, a film that will go into production about a year from now and which will be directed by Michael Gracey.

Rocketman will chronicle the entire life of John, from his early days as a child prodigy to his current role as a musical icon.

John is expected to re-record many of his original hits to parallel the emotional beats of the movie.

CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, the new biopic chronicling the life and times of girl group TLC, was a big hit for VH1 and ignited a new wave of interest in their music.

It was not, however, what you would call an uplifting film.

Tensions are still high between surviving members Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, and their former manager, Perri "Pebbles" Reid.

CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, which aired Monday night, turned an unflattering spotlight on Pebbles, whom they blame for their financial problems.

Documenting the group's rise to fame in 1990s and early 2000s, the film was a darker than expected look at T-Boz, Chilli, and the late Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes.

Due to his affair, his child out of wedlock and his inability to properly govern California, Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't exactly so beloved these days.

But the actor's movie resume remains one of the more impressive in Hollywood, with viewers often reciting lines from such classics as Terminator, Kindergarten Cop and Predator.

So to fulfill the never-ending requests of fans who stop him on the street and ask for a recitation of various quips and threats, Schwarzenegger filmed a series of videos late last week in which he yelled out the movie quotes that were most upvoted by users on Reddit.

To wit:

Schwarzenegger even dedicated a couple of lines to specific readers, including one fighting in Afghanistan.

Sir Isaac Newton was right: there is no stopping Gravity.

The Sandra Bullock-anchored drama finished first at the box office once again this week, sailing past the $170 million mark after just 17 days in release.

The movie is now the tenth highest-grossing domestic film of 2010 and should easily clear $250 million in the U.S. before its run is over. Globally, Gravity has already earned $284.8 million.

Elsewhere, Captain Phillips grossed $17.3 million and sat once again in second place, while mixed Carrie reviews may contributed to a disappointing opening for this horror remake.

Escape Plan stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone and, really, that's all you need to know.

The veteran (read: old) actors star as prisoners who devise, well, an escape plan in order to get out of the most well-fortified prison ever constructed... but who really cares?

Are you really planning to see this film for the acting or the plot? It's Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. You wanna see fists fly and things blow up, right?

So, following our recap of Carrie movie reviews and The Fifth Estate reviews, here's a look at what critics are saying about Sly and Arnold in Escape Plan:

"Escape Plan" is mostly a gray, thudding metal machine of throwback exploitation, but the goateed, goofy Ah-nold is so happy to be in the thick of an old-school bruiser again that he makes it feel like the dumb-fun flashback party it is. - The Los Angeles Times

Schwarzenegger seems to be the only one here who correctly takes the film as a lark. - USA Today
