The countdown is on, THGers. It is so very on.

It's late in the year, which means we are revealing the finalists for, and eventually the winner of, our site's prestigious, arbitrary, 7th Annual Celebrity of the Year honor.

Kate Upton heated everything up at #10, Walter White cooked his way into our hearts at #9 and Jennifer Lawrence stole them at #8. Now, our seventh finalist ...

Christian Grey!

Jamie Dornan: Christian Grey

We thought about giving this slot to Jamie Dornan, who will bring Christian Grey to life in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie adaptation of EL James' books.

It was Christian who left more of a mark on 2013 than Dornan, however. In fact, the actor who will actually play him on screen was only recently revealed.

He wasn't even the first person announced as the lead character. That was Charlie Hunnam, who went on to bail on the sexy project for unspecified reasons.

Prior to the casting of Hunnam and the re-casting of the role with Dornan, never has there been more speculation, debate and opinion over a movie character.

Even Ron Burgundy is no match for Smaug ... but then again he is a formidable force as a mythical dragon portrayed by master thespian Benedict Cumberbatch.

The long-awaited Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues was unable to steal the box-office crown from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug this weekend.

Anchorman 2 has made $61.3 million in the first five days of its release, but earned a modest $26.8 million over the weekend, less than the 2004 original.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, meanwhile, made $31.5 million over the weekend, raising its overall total to $127.5 million through two weeks.

Thanks to overseas business, the second installment in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings prequel trilogy is likely to match its predecessor's $1 billion finish.

Oscar hopeful American Hustle got off to a great start with $19.1 million as it opened nationwide after a very limited run in New York and Los Angeles.

It's not often that a movie poster generates controversy, but it's not often that a best-selling novel about cancer-stricken teens get adapted for the big screen either.

A new piece of promotional art for The Fault in Our Stars was unveiled on Buzzfeed yesterday, with many fans doing a double take over the tagline below stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort.

ONE SICK LOVE STORY, it reads, prompting many to wonder if - based on the aforementioned delicate subject matter - this is some kind of twisted joke.

But John Green, the author of the novel, took to Tumblr and defended the studio's decision.

Forget the dissection of those Anchorman 2 reviews for a moment as you try to decide whether or not you'll be seeing this comedy over the weekend.

And let's focus instead of another Will Ferrell classic, Elf, which is likely playing on USA Network right at this very moment.

But is it being re-enacted their by pugs? While a child narrates the action? No? Then it can't compare to the following adorable video!

Watch now to stop feeling like a Grinch and then sound off: what famous flick should these pugs recreate next?

For almost every aspect of the movie I want to criticize, there is a corresponding defense. - The Arizona Republic

While I'm glad "Anchorman" is back - we need a little levity in this year of heavy films - I do wish it were better. - The Los Angeles Times

The movie cleverly spoofs the 24-hour TV news cycle, as well as sexism and racism in the workplace. Not every scene is equally funny, of course, but most of the comic antics generate laughs. - USA Today
