The teaser trailer for Godzilla has just been released and fans' first look at one of the most anticipated motion pictures of 2014 certainly doesn't disappoint.

The trailer shows a city under attack by the titular, dinosaur-like creature, with members of the military scrambling to respond to the beast and its antics.

There's even one frightening glimpse at the enormous creature itself:

Gareth Edwards' take on the classic story/behemoth strives to be different, darker, bigger, and scarier, he ambitiously teased at this year's Comic-Con.

"There's nothing sci-fi, it's very grounded and realistic," he said. "I've never worked this long and this hard on something that lasted just a few seconds since I lost my virginity."

Well played.

The Godzilla cast includes Elizabeth Olsen, Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Juliette Binoche and Sally Hawkins.

Godzilla is due to hit theaters on May 16, 2014, pretty close to another large-scale sci-fi project. Check out this morning's Jupiter Ascending trailer!

Jupiter Ascending stars Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis. They kiss in the first trailer for the original sci-fi film. Really, what more needs to be said than that?!

If you must know, Channing Tatum plays a wolf-human hybrid (sort of like The Originals) sent to hunt down Mila Kunis, the possible queen of the universe.

Watch the two passionately kiss in the Jupiter Ascending trailer below:

According to the movie's official synopsis, Jupiter Jones (Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things.

Now grown up, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people’s houses and an endless run of bad breaks.

Only when Caine (Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse her true fate.

Her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos ... beginning July 25, 2014.

What do you think of the trailer? Does the movie look good?

Clearly, the great power and responsibility of being Spider-Man is starting to weigh on Peter, who notes, “The more people I try to save, the more enemies I get.”

In what turned out to be one of his final interviews, Paul Walker spoke with Movie Fanatic last month about his role in Hours, a film he ranked among his best work.

Not just professionally, but among his greatest life accomplishments.

In the aftermath of the tragic car crash from which Paul Walker died, it's even more poignant to see, and listen to him discuss, his greatest performance to date.

In the film, Walker portrays a man stranded at a New Orleans hospital during Hurricane Katrina. His wife has died in delivery, his baby born a month early.

In the worst imaginable conditions, he fights for her survival.

It is a powerful performance and with Fast and Furious 7 in limbo following the events of Saturday, it will be one of the beloved actor's last, if not the last.

Make sure to see Hours when it arrives December 13. In the meantime, check out his interview with Movie Fanatic and the film's trailer after the jump ...

The latest Nymphomaniac trailer has been released and it is, for lack of a better word, NSFW. Think beyond NSFW, really. There is pretty raw stuff on here.

Lars von Trier's controversial film stars Charlotte Gainsbourg as Joe, a self proclaimed nympho who tells her story to Stellan Skarsgard's Seligman.

Shia LaBeouf, Willem Dafoe, Christian Slater, Jamie Bell, Uma Thurman and others co-star in the movie, which is set to be released over the holidays.

At least internationally. Based on the content of this and the prior Nymphomaniac trailer, this one might be on a direct to On Demand/Blu-Ray trajectory.

Almost overlooked in the awesomeness that is the first Maleficent trailer, which dropped yesterday? Angelina Jolie's daughter Vivienne's big screen debut!

It was rumored months ago that Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, who turned five this year, would play a small role. Turns out that role is a young Princess Aurora:

Vivienne Jolie-Pitt in Maleficent

Romping through the fields in pursuit of a butterfly, without a care in the world, Vivienne appears in the first scene of the first Maleficent trailer.

Later, we see the older version of character played by Elle Fanning (below).

Vivienne will even have some lines in the film, according to reports, while her older siblings Pax, 9, and Zahara, 8, will also have cameo appearances.

Jolie also said this summer that she won the part because she wasn't scared of her mother's makeup, which is not a small factor. She's intense!
