Christmas is about to come prematurely.

On November 4, Kal Penn and John Cho reprise the roles that made them famous in A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas. And, of course, they're bringing Neil Patrick Harris back with them.

A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas Trailer

It's not easy to bring a global best-seller to the big screen, especially when it deals with the sensitive topic of race.

But, as socialite Hilly Holbrook in the The Help, that's the mission in front of Bryce Dallas Howard. It's not one she expected to undertake, considering how different Hilly is from the actress' past parts in The Twilight Saga and The Village.

"I don't think I would have cast myself," Howard laughed in an interview with Movie Fanatic. "So, once I was cast, I had to have a certain amount of faith in the producers and director for making the right decision or I would have been a little fearful that I couldn’t do it."

Death has never been closer.

So teases the official movie poster for Final Destination 5, which comes out on August 12. But the tagline also applies to the film's cast and our friends at Movie Fanatic: they enjoyed a round table discussion together earlier today.

"This movie raises questions," said star Miles Fisher. "Humans want an answer for everything, including fate and religion. If there is an answer for everything, there is such a thing as asking too much. Trying to create your own answers can cause as much harm as good. Just continue to learn and be open-minded."

Final Destination 5 Trailer

We love Prince William and Kate Middleton, but suffice it to say William & Catherine: A Royal Romance won't be winning any major awards come Oscar time.

If this teaser is any indication, the Hallmark Channel film looks even cheesier than the company's greeting cards ... which we suppose is to be expected.

Still, the acting displayed here by Alice St. Clair (Kate Middleton), Dan Amboyer (Prince William) and Victor Garber (Prince Charles)? Not un-amazing.

William & Catherine: A Royal Romance Trailer

Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which opens this weekend, takes us back to the dawn of a saga that first enthralled audiences with 1968's Planet of the Apes.

Five more films were made through 1973, and another in 2001. Now, director Rupert Wyatt is rebooting the franchise at the beginning of the apes' takeover.

Gone are actors in ape suits, replaced by special effects and a riveting performance by Andy Serkis, who portrayed Gollum in the Lord of the Rings films.

Stars James Franco, Freida Pinto and Tom Felton agreed that without Serkis’ turn as Caesar the chimpanzee, the film would feel empty. Here's the trailer:

A movie about two characters who switch bodies isn't exactly ground-breaking. It's been done many times before.

But two of the funniest men in Hollywood still jumped at the chance to star on The Change-Up and they explained why in a roundtable discussion this week: because the R rating opened up a world of dirty, fun possibilities.

"It was fun to see this kind of premise - which is usually a PG premise - executed in such a hard way, in such an edge," Ryan Reynolds said. "It was no-holds barred. It was the first script I've read in a long time where I cried laughing."

Among others, The Ides of March features Ryan Gosling and George Clooney. But don't be fooled by these pretty faces.

The official trailer for this October 7 release makes it clear the film is more mind candy than eye candy.

Based on a best-selling novel, the film follows a staffer (Gosling) who thinks he's found the ideal Presidential candidate (Clooney). But all is not be what it seems. Evan Rachel Wood, Marisa Tomei, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Paul Giamatti also star.

Yes, Battleship is based on a board game. But before you automatically dismiss the May 2012 release for that reason, consider its cast:

Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker, Alexander Skarsgård, Rihanna and Liam Neeson.
