Move over, Tom Cruise. Take a seat, Brad Pitt. Not so fast, Julia Roberts.

Forbes has come out with its list of "Hollywood's Best Actors for the Buck," a rundown of the stars who earn the most money for studios - and none of the usual A-listers are included.

  • Black Swan Poster
  • Kristen Stewart Breaking Dawn Poster

Instead, Natalie Portman sits in first place, as the Black Swan actress earns $42.70 for every dollar she's paid.

A close second? Kristen Stewart, who owes almost all of her success (which translates to $40.60 for every dollar she's paid) to The Twilight Saga.

So much for our terrible Les Miserables review.

The big screen version of this world famous musical banked $18.2 million yesterday, according to The Hollywood Reporter, setting a new benchmark for weekday Christmas Day openings.

Sherlock Holmes owns the overall Christmas record when it opened on a Friday and earned $24.6 million.

Django Unchained, meanwhile, didn't exactly disappoint, either. Despite Spike Lee's protest.

The Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio-driven drama shot past Ali to become the highest-grossing R-rated movie to open on December 25. It brought in a cool $15 million.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey raked in $11.3 million, with Parental Guidance and Jack Reacher rounding out the top five.

Tom Cruise hasn't been given much reason to celebrate this holiday season, as his latest action flick fizzled at the box office.

Jack Reacher, a movie based on a best-selling collection of Lee Child novels, garnered a mere $15.6 million on Friday and Saturday, a scant improvement over Cruise's previous vehicle, Rock of Ages.

So much for talk of a franchise.

The Hobbit, meanwhile, banked another $36.7 and its two-week haul has now pushed past $150 million domestically.

We've listed the top five movies from the weekend below:

Lindsay Lohan was absolutely destroyed in the original screenplay for Scary Movie 5, although it's anyone's guess what material makes the final cut.

The working script was obtained by TMZ and boy, are there a lot of jokes at Lindsay's expense ... even her buddy Charlie Sheen gets in on the act.

Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan

We start it off with them in bed making a sex tape, until she says, "Okay let's do this quick, I got a court hearing in the morning ... It's a driving mishap thing."

"Promise me you won't drive," he urges. "That's very sweet, worrying about me behind the wheel," she replies. "I'm worried about me. I'm a pedestrian," Sheen counters.

BAM! Oh, and it continues ...

Kristen Stewart has made it official: there will be a Snow White and the Huntsman sequel.

Now, Robert Pattinson must hope there won't be a sequel to Stewart's misguided love life, considering what happened the last time she was involved with this franchise.

Kristen Stewart in Thought

"It's gonna be f-ckin amazing. I'm so excited about it, it's crazy," she said of the sequel.

"The other day I said that there was a strong possibility that we're going to make a sequel, and that's very true, but everyone was like, 'Whoa, stop talking about it.'"

"So no, I'm totally not allowed to talk about it."

U.S. Sen. and former presidential candidate John McCain watched the movie Zero Dark Thirty and says it left him sick, because it’s misleading and just plan wrong.

The film suggests the CIA’s harsh interrogation techniques led the U.S. to Osama bin Laden. The 76-year-old veteran adamantly disputes this.

John Picture McCain

He says waterboarding al-Qaida’s No. 3 leader, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, did not provide information that led to bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan.

Yet the movie, a copy of which McCain received Monday, indicates that’s what happened. Filmmakers fell for it hook, line and sinker, McCain said.

For the third time this week, a movie studio has canceled a red carpet event out of respect for the victims of the Connecticut school shooting in Newtown.

Following the elimination of the Jack Reacher premiere and the opening of Parental Guidance, we've now learned that there will be no Hollywood premiere for Quentan Tarantino's latest, Django Unchained.

Said the Weinstein Company in a statement:

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, and in this time of national mourning we have decided to forgo our scheduled event."

Django Unchained opens on Christmas Day and stars Jaime Foxx as a recently-freed slave who teams up with a bounty hunter to on a killing spree and rescue his wife.

It also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz.

Forget ski vacations or winter weekends in the tropics. Movie goers were all about taking a trip this weekend to Middle Earth.

The Hobbit - a prequel to The Lord of the Rings, and the first in a brand new trilogy from director Peter Jackson - took in $84.8 million in its first three days of release.

That made it number-one at the box office by a very wide margin and set a December record in the process, blowing by the $77.2 million made on opening weekend by I Am Legend in 2007.

Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins

Can The Hobbit equal the grosses of its J.R.R. Tolkien predecessors, each of whom took home over $300 million domestically?

We shall see. For now, scroll down and check out the weekend's top five:

Tom Cruise will not be walking the red carpet in Pittsburgh tonight.

Paramount has announced that it's delayed the official premiere of Jack Reacher in that city, out of respect for the unspeakable events of the Connecticut shooting in Newtown yesterday.

Said the studio in a statement:

"Due to the terrible tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, and out of honor and respect for the families of the victims whose lives were senselessly taken, we are postponing tomorrow's Pittsburgh premiere of 'Jack Reacher.' Our hearts go out to all those who lost loved ones."

New information continues to come in regarding the massacre, but Adam Lanza is believed to have shot and killed 27 people at Sandy Hook Elementary school, most of whom were children and teachers.
