Disney will soon be releasing a new Star Wars movie every summer, because why the heck wouldn't they?

The announcement came today at CinemaCon, and the new release schedule is set to begin in 2015.

With J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII kicking off the new trilogy in 2015, we know we'll be seeing at least two more main continuity movies after that.

But what we'll also be seeing is a series of stand-alone films that focus on individual characters in the franchise. The first two to get their own films are Han Solo and Boba Fett.

Fast & Furious 7 is currently slated for a July 11, 2014 release, Vin Diesel himself revealed yesterday during Universal's presentation at CinemaCon.

No details are known other than filming begins this summer, Diesel will return alongside co-star Paul Walker, and James Wan will direct.

The involvement of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is reportedly up in the air, so it's possible his character will have a reduced role or none at all.

In related news, both a Snow White and the Huntsman sequel and a Pitch Perfect sequel were confirmed at CinemaCon as well.

Both of those follow-ups set for 2015 releases.

We have an update on the Snow White and The Huntsman sequel.

Universal Pictures Chairman Adam Fogelson confirmed at CiemaCon yesterday that a follow-up to the 2012 hit was in the works and that it will be released some time in 2015.

The original grossed $118 million around the world, but later became especially well known because it was on the film's set where Kristen Stewart got close to director Rupert Sanders.

Another day, another major name announced for the cast of Divergent.

With Ashley Judd on board the big screen adaption of this beloved bestseller, Entertainment Weekly now confirms that the actor will also play a key role in the upcoming blockbuster:

He will portray Andrew Prior, father to heroine Shailene Woodley's Beatrice Prior and husband to Judd's Natalie.

Ashley Judd has landed a mother of a role.

The actress - who will not be running for Kentucky Senate - has been cast in Divergent as Natalie Prior, the parent of Shailene Woodley's Tris.

Divergent will be released on March 21, 2014 and is based on Veronica Roth’s dystopian bestseller.

Production got underway this week in Chicago, with Aaron Eckhart on board as Judd's fictional husband*; Jai Courtney as Eric; and Kate Winslet as Jeanine Matthews.

The movie will tell the story of a female teenager hoping to break free from her homogeneous society, a society that separates people based on human traits.

* UPDATE: Tony Goldwyn has been cast as Mr. Prior.

We all know Quentin Tarantino can't seem to escape controversy.

But in China?

Today was supposed to be the Chinese opening day for Tarantino's latest film, Django Unchained. But before the film could make a splash, Django Unchained was pulled from theaters all across China!
