Miss Universe Olivia Culpo is named in a complaint potentially being filed by the Archeological Survey of India after allegedly shilling for shoes at the Taj Mahal.

On Sunday, the 2012 Miss Universe winner and her team headed to the Taj as part of a 10-day tour of the nation to spread awareness about women's issues.

There, Culpo took part in a footwear photo shoot on the marble ledge known as the Diana Seat, modeling multiple pairs of shoes taken from a large bag.

She used the Taj Mahal as the backdrop. According to the Hindustan Times, which described the shoot as "covert 'promotion,'" this is a huge no-no.

As such, the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) is threatening action against Olivia Culpo, as "any branding or publicity on the Taj premises is prohibited."

Elmira Abdrazakova, Miss Russia, is strikingly beautiful.

Yet the 18-year-old has had to go through more humiliation than celebration since winning the crown, with haters criticizing her appearance and ethnicity.

The trolls have relentlessly attacked her for being "not Russian enough" or “not Slavic enough” for the title, forcing her to close her social media accounts.

Elmira Abdrazakova was born in Kazakhstan to a Tatar father, but was raised in Russia, considers herself Russian and is legally a Russian citizen.

That's not good enough for Miss Russia's haters.

Olivia Culpo won the title (U-S-A! U-S-A!) but Miss Venezuela 2012 Irene Sofia Esser Quintero gave by far the best/worst answer at the Miss Universe 2012 pageant.

In addition to showing off their beauty in dazzling gowns and bikinis, they show off their brain power (or something like that) in the crucial Q&A round.

Miss Venezuela, Irene Sofia Esser Quintero, was asked "If you could make a new law, what would it be? And explain why." Her answer? Well, see below:

"I think that any laws there are in Constitution or in life, are already made. I think that we should have ... uh ... a straight way to go ... in our similar, or, eh, in ... in our life has it this," she said.

Olivia Culpo has been crowned Miss Universe 2012!

The reigning Miss USA won the world title Wednesday in Las Vegas, fending off challenges from 88 other gorgeous women from around the world.

"I'm dreaming, it's a dream," she said.

Olivia Culpo, Miss Universe

She is the first Miss USA to win Miss Universe since 1997.

Olivia Culpo succeeded 2011's winner, Leila Lopes of Angola, after strutting in a purple and blue bikini and a red velvet gown with a plunging neckline.

Transgender Canadian beauty queen Jenna Talackova turned heads in a bikini and placed in the top 12 at the Miss Universe Canada pageant this weekend.

The 6-foot-1 blonde bombshell was a crowd favorite, even though she fell short of the Miss Canada crown and entry into the Miss Universe competition.

Born Walter Talackova, Jenna also seemed to be a favorite among her fellow contestants and was one of four women voted “Miss Congeniality.”

The 23-year-old was originally disqualified from the competition because she was not a “naturally born female,” but ultimately allowed back in.

After threats of a lawsuit and public outcry, the Trump Organization, which owns the contest, announced Talackova would be allowed to compete.

“I didn’t know that there would be this much controversy. I was just entering because, you know, I wanted to represent Canada," Talackova said.

Adding that she was born in the wrong body, Jenna added, "I think I’m a beautiful woman, inside and out. I think I would have done the job.”

Gotta give her credit for trying and conducting herself with class. Take a look at some photos of Jenna modeling at the Miss Canada pageant below:

Donald Trump said transgender Miss Universe hopeful Jenna Talackova is welcome to compete in the pageant, but that his organization's decision to permit her didn't have anything to do with her attorney, Gloria Allred.

In fact, he could've prevailed over her handily if he so chose.

"I did not know that she had a lawyer, and especially Gloria Allred," Trump told Good Morning America. "In fact, had I known it was Gloria Allred, we probably would not have reversed the decision because, you know, Gloria is easy to beat.”

The fact is, we went by the laws of the country and the laws are very clear and, based on that, about two days ago, we decided to let her compete."

Trump said the 23-year-old Jenna Talackova, who underwent sexual reassignment surgery at the age of 19 and was temporarily barred from the pageant, “should simply focus on running up in Canada and seeing how she does in Canada.

“And then, if she does well, she has a chance to become what many, many young women all over the world want to be and that's Miss Universe."

"That's all she should be focusing on right now."

Leila Lopes from Angola was crowned Miss Universe 2011, beating out 88 competitors in a star-studded ceremony in Sao Paolo, Brazil, on Monday night.

The 25-year-old Lopes is that nation's first winner.

In the 60th anniversary of the world's biggest beauty pageant, she replaces last year's winner, Ximena Navarrete of Mexico. Here's a photo of the winner:

"I'm very satisfied with the way God created me and I wouldn't change a thing," Leila Lopes said when asked a crucial interview question about ... something.

"I consider myself a woman endowed with inner beauty. I have acquired many wonderful principles from my family and I intend to follow these."

Many believed Miss USA Alyssa Campanella might have a real shot to become the first American winner of the event since 1997. But it wasn't to be.

China's Luo Zilin came in fourth, the Philippines' Shamcey Supsup third, Brazil's Priscila Machado second and Ukraine's Olesia Stefanko was first runner-up.

Congratulations to the contestants for giving it their all.

In sequined pants and matching bra, Heidi Montag's rendition of "Body Language," her first career live effort, was underwhelming even by her low standards.

NBC, which was broadcasting the Miss Universe 2009 pageant live, apparently had similar thoughts and blocked out more than half of her song at the event.

Heidi sang (term used loosely) as the 15 finalists were introduced. Stefania Fernandez was later crowned the winner, helping fans forget this musical debacle.

"I think people don't know what to expect, and how can they? It's my first performance live and it's in front of half a billion eyes. I'm very excited to show everyone what I'm coming with," said Heidi Montag prior to her performance.

What she came up with were the simplest of dance moves, some of which she couldn't even execute (so much for all that rehearsing), and bad lip-synching even when she insisted she would sing live. Or, "as live as it can be." Poor.

Sources later reported that Heidi Montag might not sing because "production staffers were worried about her performance." With good reason. The wife of Spencer Pratt experienced problems remembering the lyrics as well ... to her own song.

Relax, though ... it's even worse than we're making it sound.

If you want to watch Heidi Montag lip-synch to her bad ripoff of "Situation" by Yaz, and attempt to dance while NBC edits out half of the material, check out the video of the 'Tag "singing" at the 2009 Miss Universe pageant below ...

The lovely Miss Venezuela, Stefania Fernandez, was crowned Miss Universe 2009 last night. The 18-year-old (!) is a worthy title-holder, to say the least.

She defeated finalists from Puerto Rico, Kosovo, Australia and the Dominican Republic. When she heard that Miss Dominican Republic, Ada Aimee De la Cruz, was named first Runner-Up, that meant Stefania Fernandez became the new Miss Universe.

Leila Lopes, Miss Universe 2011

Stefania is the second consecutive Miss Venezuela to win Miss Universe, and shared a hug with her predecessor, Dayana Mendoza, on stage after she won.

Receiving the tiara from Dayana, Stefania accidentally dropped the thing on stage. But with true grace and dignity, they rebounded as if nothing happened.

Stefania Fernandez beams upon being crowned Miss Universe 2009.

The second runner-up was Miss Kosovo Gona Dragusha, while Miss Australia Rachael Finch was third runner-up. Miss China Wang Jingyao was Miss Photogenic, while Miss Thailand Chutima Durongdej was named Miss Congeniality.

The top 15 finalists appeared in bathing suits before the final 10 were chosen for the evening gown segment. Pageant co-owner Donald Trump told reporters:

"I think this is the most beautiful group of women I've ever seen."

The televised event includes musical performances by Flo Rida, David Guetta, Kelly Rowland and Heidi Montag. We'll have a video of that disaster up later.

Stefania Fernandez was also named "Miss Elegance" "Best Body" and "Best Face." We're just hoping she doesn't add "Miss Nude Photo Scandal" shortly.
