Miley Cyrus is a complete phony.

The Disney icon pretends to be an innocent 16-year old whenever she's involved with a scandal, such as when she clearly mocked Asian people in a photograph earlier this year, but then she poses in hooker boots and tells the world she's "not a kid anymore."

As if to prove her point, Miley put on a performance for the ages (literally!) at last night's Teen Choice Awards.

The singer rocked out to her new single, "Party in the USA," while standing atop an ice cream cart (awww, see how young and innocent she is?!?) and pole dancing like a stripper!

Later in the evening, Cyrus presented the Ultimate Choice Award to Britney Spears and told the fans: “I’m a huge fans of hers."

Makes sense. Britney has also made a career out of appealing to teenagers with her supposed saintliness, only to release songs with lyrics that would make Hugh Hefner blush.

We hope we're wrong, but it's just a matter of time until Miley also gets knocked up twice and then divorced.

This story is a little complicated - and a lot messed up.

Last week, we reported on Mark McLeod, the 53-year old sicko that was arrested in June for stalking Miley Cyrus. Apprehended on the Georgia set of Miley's new movie, McLeod said he was the singer's number-one fan and that she communicated with him via secret messages on her show.

However, the day after his arrest, this pedophile-in-training was released from jail because he was not charged with a felony and the prison was overcrowded.

Now, as first reported by TMZ, McLeod has been arrested again for stalking Cyrus!

How many mug shots will it take before the police officially stop Mark McLeod from stalking Miley Cyrus?

Police say he was spotted hanging her movie set again this week, as McLeod admitted he was attempting to contact his underage crush when the cops slapped cuffs on him.

McLeod is being held at the Columbia County Detention Center. Let's hope they throw away the key this time.

Clearly a fashion icon, Miley Cyrus has teamed up with Max Azria on a clothing line.

The singer/actress gave People a preview of it this week, as everything from her plaid shirts to high-waisted shorts will soon be on sale at Walmart.

"I wanted to finally make something that was for girls my age. Something me and my friends would wear,” Miley said. “But I’d say anyone from age 8-80 can enjoy this line.”

Would you wear any of these Miley Cyrus-designed clothes?

Cyrus added that she wants her U.S. fans to dress more like those across the Atlantic.

“My inspiration for the line is kind of an edgy UK style,” she said. “Every time I go to Europe I love going to all the funky stores. I wanted to be able to bring those fun styles to the girls of America."

No word yet on when or if Miley will fashion her own line of hooker boots, based on the pair she wore for a recent Elle photo shoot.

A reliable source has told Moviehole that Zac Efron might star opposite Miley Cyrus in a reboot of the 1950s movie series Gidget.

Those films, and the proposed flick that would feature two of the biggest teen icons on the planet, were based on the 1957 novel, Gidget, the Little Girl with Big Ideas. The novel tracks the adventures of a young woman and her surfing friends on the beach at Malibu.

O...M...G! Miley Cyrus and Zac Efron might woo one another on screen in the near future.

If this deal goes through, Cyrus would take on the title role, while Efron would play her love interest.

Earlier this month, remember, Miley admitted her crush on Zac. Perhaps Vanessa Hudgens should truly be worried now.

We aren't always big fans of Miley Cyrus, due to her constant need for attention and ever-growing ego, but we would never wish harm on the Disney star.

That's why we hope she's tightened security around her.

Last month, Mark McLeod was arrested for stalking Cyrus outside of Savannah, Georgia.

A resident of Appling, Georgia, McLeod was apprehended in Tybee Island, outside the set of Miley's new movie The Last Song, after telling police he was engaged to the singer/actress.

Standing among throngs of fans at the Tybee Island pier, McLeod also said the teen icon communicated with him through secret messages in photos and in episodes of Hannah Montana.

When first approached by the cops, McLeod, 53, began screaming and fought officers that tried to arrest him. It turns out he was violating a court order to stay away from Cyrus, as he often shows up to events that she attends, including a March book signing in New York.

But here's where it gets really scary: McLeod was released from prison the day after his arrest!

Indeed, he's now on the loose, a decision that was made due to jail overcrowding and one defended by Sheriff Al St Lawrence. He said: 

“If we had heard something about this guy supposedly being a stalker or he had been charged with a felony he wouldn’t have been released."

McLeod is due in court on September 1 to answer to a pair of misdemeanor charges. Until then, we hope Justin Gaston or Nick Jonas - whoever Miley is dating these days - keeps a close eye on the young star.

In last month's issue of Elle, Miley Cyrus said she's not a kid anymore.

Based on the immature way she's handling her relationships, we beg to differ.

Despite confirmation from Joe Jonas that Miley is dating his brother Nick, the Hannah Montana star can't seem to stop flirting with ex-boyfriend Justin Gaston. What's even worse, she's playing games with Nick by doing it in a public forum!

Over the weekend, Cyrus published the following message on her Twitter account:

A short time later, Gaston replied with this Tweet:

As any John Mayer fan knows, the lyrics above are taken from the very hit song that Miley referenced. That two-timer!

Why not simply email or text message Gaston? Why is Cyrus so openly flirting with him, for hundreds of thousands of Twitter followers to read? Is she seeking attention? Messing with Jonas? Asking for fan feedback?

If it's the latter, let's help her out: Who should Miley Cyrus date?

For awhile, the Internet was abuzz with rumors of a feud between Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus.

In the latest issue of Britain's Sugar magazine, however, the Sonny With A Chance star cleared up the controversy - and said her relationship with Cyrus was anything but contentious.

Lovato told the publication that she refers to Miley as "Dragon," a reference to the movie Step Brothers.

Jokes aside, Demi said her friend has "given me so much advice." For example:

"Recently she sent me this four-page text message encouraging me and telling me she has faith in me. It was so inspiring and made me feel great – because I do get a bit overwhelmed by the paps sometimes."

Demi, of course, recently broke up with Miley's brother, Trace Cyrus. But that hasn't affected her bond with the Hannah Montana star.

As for her other celebrity friends, the Jonas Brothers, Lovato told the magazine: "Everyone asks me if I fancy them, but I totally don't!"

Are you sure, Demi? Joe Jonas is single now. Just sayin.

Miley Cyrus has signed on for a fourth season of Hannah Montana.

But the actress is clearly eyeing big screen stardom away from the Disney Channel, as she's lined up a pair of major movie projects.

She's currently filming The Last Song, a romantic film written specifically for Miley by beloved author Nicholas Sparks.

Now, reports indicate that Cyrus will take the lead in Wings, a fantasy adventure based on a novel by Aprilynne Pike.

In the movie, Cyrus will play Laurel, a 15-year-old girl that can't exactly fit into life in a city. The reason? She's a fairy.

Wings is actually the first book in a four-book set. As evidenced by the basic cover above - as well as the author quoted on it - the series of novels is often compared to the Twilight Saga.

Based on the excitement already generated over New Moon and the subsequent movies in that franchise, it's scary to think about the craziness that would erupt if Cyrus stars in an equally popular string of films.

Can the world handle it?

Look away, Nick Jonas!

Earlier this week, Miley Cyrus was feeling under the weather. Based on a Twitter posting, however, it sounds like she was wishing she were under Zac Efron.

Never one to shy away from telling fans pretty much every thought that enters her head - no matter how personal, inappropriate or inane - Cyrus Tweeted:

"Me and mom are seriously sitting here staring at Zac Efron on Google images. Girls I totally get it! He is gorgeous!"

So is his girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens. Watch what you say, Miley.

Is Miley Cyrus making a play for Zac Efron? The Tweeniverse might explode if she does.

Miley Cyrus on Dad, Boyfriends and Why She's Not a Kid Anymore.

That's what the cover of this month's Elle reads.

If Cyrus wants to be treated like an adult, that's fine with us - but she can't have it both ways.

She can't straddle a chair and then claim it was just innocent fun.

She can't quote a famous children's book as part of her attention-grabbing Tweets and then be defended by fans that say Miley is a normal, indecisive, confused 16-year old.

Cyrus is NOT a normal 16-year old. Do normal 16-year olds make millions per year and pose for tawdry photos in national magazines, such as the following Elle pic?

It's perfectly fine for Cyrus to wanna break free from the young, sweet images Disney has created for her. But then she can't hide behind any excuses of ignorance or innocence - and fans cannot tell us to "leave her alone" - when controversies arise.

Also, she's gotta stop hating on Robert Pattinson, as she dismissed his popularity in an April interview with Teen Vogue. That guy rules!
