Did you really think Miley Cyrus would remain silent about the Kanye West/Taylor Swift incident at Sunday night's Video Music Awards?

It's a story that draws attention to anyone that comments on it. With that in mind, Cyrus touched on a number of subjects from the event during an interview with Z100 in Portland:

On Beyonce: I heard Beyonce's performance was off the chain. People said, like, that it was so perfect, you don't know how it was real.

On Lady GaGa's performance: That's why people love her! Because you never know, like, what she's gonna do and something unique. There's no one like her. She's bigger than life. Same thing as Beyonce. That's why you want to to watch them. They're so unique.

On Kanye West acting like a jackass: It's what he does it for. He does it for press. Don't feed into it. He's gonna get what he wants by getting to be in tabloids because of that. His apologies are just because he's getting flak for it.

If she were Taylor Swift: I'd tell him to get off the stage. It's her moment. For those times that you are able to tell your speech, you do it. And it's disrespectful as an artist and I know he even said his family would not be happy if someone did that to them.

Miley Cyrus must read The Hollywood Gossip, as her upcoming tour will reflect the criticism she's received on our site over the last few weeks.

Ever since Miley made like a stripper at last month's Teen Choice Awards, the Disney icon has heard from critics that think she's too young to be gyrating along a pole on stage. A crazy critique, we know.

Therefore, sources tell E! News, the singer has replaced the pole with a rolling baggage cart described as "the kind a hotel bellhop uses" during rehearsals for her forthcoming concerts.

"Miley cares about being a good role model to her fans and didn't want to offend anyone," said the insider.

Cyrus, meanwhile, has also released a new single, titled "When I Look at You." There are a myriad of men to whom she could be referring, but just take a listen for now and let us know your thoughts:

Miley Cyrus has been linked with Nick Jonas, Justin Gaston and, most recently, Liam Hemsworth over the last few months.

But when asked by Access Hollywood if she was dating anyone, the Disney star replied:

"I don't know, gosh. There's, like, a lot of people that I'm supposedly dating, but, like, I'm just kicking it right now... There's no dude."

No word from Miley yet on whether or not she'll appear in the Sex and the City sequel, but we'll keep fans apprised of that development.

It doesn't get any more pathetic than Miley Cyrus.

It's been well-documented how the singer relies on Twitter to garner attention and sympathy from her fans. She posts the most self-centered, pointless messages of any celebrity on the network.

But Miley has now taken it to a new level. Earlier this week, she Tweeted:

I wish just once I could look out into the crowd and he would be sitting in the front row singing along. I miss you.

Then, six minutes later, she wrote: Regarding my last tweet. Yes it was about a boy. The one who never lets me down. The one who always makes me smile. My Pappy.

Here's a crazy idea, Miles: if you miss your father, PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL HIM!!! Why resort to some mysterious, creepy Twitter message for the world to see... only to then clarify it minutes later?

Actually, scratch that. We all know the answer.

It's understandable why fans would be confused when Miley Cyrus references a boy. She toys with so many, it's easy to lose track.

Miley and father Billy Ray have a well-known, inappropriate relationship. This is a man who has no problem with his 16-year old daughter strutting around the stage like a stripper. Hey, as long as it makes the family money, right?

** Update: Astute readers have written in and said Cyrus refers to her late grandfather as "Pappy." We still hate her, and we still can't fathom why she posted such a mysterious initial message on Twitter, but we apologize for the misunderstanding.

This might explain why Miley Cyrus always flashes two fingers at photographers...

According to sources on the set of the Sex and the City sequel, the Disney star will make a cameo in the highly-anticipated comedy. A script page has even blocked out October 16 as the day Cyrus will shoot.

“They’ve asked her,” said an insider. “But she hasn’t confirmed. Right now, they’re just holding the space for her.”

What role might Miley play in the movie, which will be released on May 28, 2010?

Shots of Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker confirm that the quartet of main characters flashes back to the 1980s at one point in the story. Could Cyrus play a younger version of Charlotte? They have a similar hair color.

Then again, perhaps she'll simply appear as a stripper in a club. Everyone knows she has experience in that area.

We know this is hard to believe, but Miley Cyrus wasn't always a spoiled, self-centered Disney icon.

When she was 12 years old, long before Twitter was even invented, Miley auditioned for Hannah Montana and Zoey 101.

Miley Cyrus claims she doesn't have a boyfriend.

But try telling that to Laura Griffin.

The 19-year old Australian had to find out from her pals that boyfriend Liam Hemsworth had made out with Cyrus away from the cameras of the film they were shooting together, The Last Song.

Soon afterwards, he ended the relationship with Griffin. Coincidence? She clearly thinks not.

"He was my boyfriend and my best friend," Laura told an Australian publication this week. "There is no other reason [other than Miley Cyrus] why we would have broken up."

Over the last few days, Griffin has done something to which Cyrus can relate: post messages online. On her Facebook account, Laura's moods have ranged from "total utter regret" to "depression of some sort."

She couldn't even muster up the energy to add a sad face at the end. :(

We hope this fling was worth it, Miley!

The good news: Miley Cyrus did not Tweet anything obnoxious, pathetic or attention-worthy yesterday.

The bad news: She did so on YouTube instead.

Miley and BFF Mandy Jiroux spent over five minutes filming themselves cleaning out the singer's enormous closet and making inside jokes. That's it. That's the entire video.

Oblivious to the fact that her walk-in closet is larger than most people's bedrooms, Cyrus casually tosses around items of clothing that likely cost more than many people see in a week, especially in this economy.

Why must this have been videotaped and released to the public? We have no idea. We didn't even know Miley owned any clothes, considering what she typically wears these days.

Cue the "Leave Miley alone/You're just jealous!" comments in 3... 2... 1...

Give Miley Cyrus credit.

The singer appeared on the Today show this morning and accomplished a pair of feats:

1. Unlike many live performers, Miley did not lip synch during a rendition of "Party in the USA."
2. She also resisted the urge to repeat her Teen Choice Awards pole dance. 

It was close, though.

With inclement weather forecasted, a tent was constructed around the stage on which Cyrus entertained the audience. On a couple of occasions, it's clear she wanted to treat the apparatus like it was Liam Hemsworth, but she stayed strong. We only picked up on one stripper-like wiggle of the hips.

You really shouldn't stalk Miley Cyrus.

It's unethical, it's illegal and it just gives her something else to Twitter about.

But Mark McLeod was arrested earlier this month for allegedly following around the Hannah Montana star during a movie shoot in Savannah, Georgia. The sick nut job said Miley had been sending him "secret messages" on TV and in her music.

Fortunately, it doesn't sound as though McLeod will be coming near Cyrus again in the near future: a judge has rejected a request to reduce his $55,000 bond for release, according to the Savannah Morning News, which quoted judge Steven Scheer as saying the 53-year-old McLeod posed a potential threat.

"I can't deny him bond, but if I could I would, because I do feel he's a danger."

McLeod was also arrested in 2003 for contributing to the delinquency of a minor when he transported a girl across the Georgia/South Carolina border.

Following yesterday's hearing, McLeod's attorney, James Byrne, claimed his client - who says he's Miley's "secret husband" - wasn't a menace to anyone.

"He's been painted as this monster, but he's got a family," the lawyer said. "What he said I understand was unsettling to a lot of folks. But it doesn't make him a stalker."

What on earth would make him a stalker, Mr. Byrne?!?

Miley has taken out a temporary restraining order against McLeod. We hope he goes away for a very long time.
