Former heavyweight champion boxer Mike Tyson was detained at LAX airport Wednesday after getting into an altercation, according to various reports.

A photographer told investigators that in fact Tyson punched him in the face and tried to take the film from his camera. Tyson told investigators that a celebrity gossip photographer struck him in an apparent attempt to provoke him.

Both wanted to press charges against each other, so police placed both under arrest. The photographer was taken to a hospital with injuries to his face.

Tyson was taken by LAX police to the Los Angeles Police Department's 77th Street Division, where he was booked on suspicion of battery and released.

"He was very cooperative," Lt. Aaron McCraney said. "There were no issues."

Note to photographers: You do not want to mess with this man. He is bigger and more insane than you. He has a tattoo on his face. His face. We need not elaborate further.

It's the latest of several clashes between celebrities and paparazzi at LAX.

In 2008, before he moved on to hijacking Taylor Swift on stage, rapper Kanye West was arrested on suspicion of vandalism after he and his road manager both reportedly confronted a photographer and smashed his camera near a terminal.

Once the most fearsome fighter in the world, Mike Tyson broke down in tears as he described his unspeakable grief after the death of his daughter Exodus.

Mike broke his silence in an emotional interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show yesterday, recalling how his little girl strangled herself on a treadmill cord.

This happened at her mother Sol Xochitl’s home in Phoenix.

Although nearly five months has passed since the tragic accident, Mike Tyson still struggles to accept it. However, he doesn’t want to know the details.

“From all my experience in rehab, I took responsibility,” he says, “She had to be buried, she had to be taken care of. There was no animosity. There was no anger towards anybody. I don’t know how she died and I don’t want to know.

“But I know somebody’s to blame for it, there will be a problem.”

Mike Tyson's fall from grace pales in comparison to this tragedy.

Exodus’ older brother Miguel, 7, found her unconscious after her neck got caught in the treadmill cord and her mother, who is no longer in a relationship with Mike Tyson, administered CPR before calling emergency services.

She died from her injuries the following day in the hospital.

How did Mike and his temper cope with such devastation?

“My first instinct was a lot of rage and I am so happy I had the tools in life not to go in that direction. I don’t want to go there, I want to win now."

“I’m just fortunate that I have children by different women and as a family we’re so close. That’s my biggest asset. We all love each other.”

Mike Tyson and Lakiha Spicer have turned tragedy into somewhat of a triumph.

According to Radar Online, the pair got hitched on Saturday night at La Bella Wedding Chapel at the Las Vegas Hilton.

The marriage, Tyson's third, comes less than two weeks after the couple's four-year-old daughter, Exodus, died from an exercise machine accident.

We just hope Spicer (pictured) knows what she's getting into. Tyson is a former wife beater, convicted rapist and the guy has a tattoo on his face.

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson's daughter, Exodus, died Tuesday in a Phoenix hospital. She was only four years old.

The little girl passed away after an accident in which she was found hanging from a cord after playing on an exercise machine at home.

"We are grateful for the tremendous outpouring of love and prayers from all over the world," a grieving Mike Tyson said in a statement.

"There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus. We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal."

Exodus' mother, whose name has not been released, was cleaning in another room when she sent her 7-year-old son to check on his sister.

The boy found Exodus tangled in a cord dangling from a treadmill. He called for his mother, who dialed 911 and administered CPR.

The child, who had been on life support, was pronounced dead at 11:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center, said Phoenix police.

Mike Tyson, who had been in Las Vegas at the time of the accident, returned to Arizona and was seen entering the hospital in the morning.

The four-year-old daughter of Mike Tyson is currently on life support and in "extremely critical condition" after she was found hanging Monday morning from a treadmill cable in her family's Phoenix home, according to Fox News.

Exodus Tyson's 7-year-old brother found her on a treadmill with her neck on a cable attached to the exercise machine, police Sgt. Andy Hill said.

The mother sent the boy to find the 4-year-old girl who was playing in a separate room. The boy found his sister in distress and got his mother.

"Somehow she was playing on this treadmill, and there's a cord that hangs under the console - it's kind of a loop," Hill said of the "tragic accident."

"Either she slipped or put her head in the loop, but it acted like a noose, and she was obviously unable to get herself off of it."

The girl's mother took her daughter off the cable, called 911 and attempted to revive her. Officers and firefighters performed CPR on the girl.

She was rushed to nearby St. Joe's Hospital.

Hill said former heavyweight champion Tyson had been in Las Vegas but flew to Phoenix immediately after learning of the accident.

Mike Tyson could not immediately be reached for comment. Calls to three of his reps were either not returned or not answered.

Hill said everything in the investigation pointed to an accident: "There's nothing that revealed anything suspicious," he said.

Mike Tyson, a former heavyweight boxing champion, lives in the house with his girlfriend and their two children.

No stranger to domestic violence himself, Tyson MTV News his perspective on the Chris Brown scandal while promoting Tyson, a documentary on his life.

"My personal opinion about that is, he’s just a baby," Tyson said of Brown, whose career is in jeopardy as he faces assault and criminal threats charges.

"He’s just a little baby that don’t know how to handle his emotions when it comes to a woman. He probably thinks, ‘I know how to handle my emotions.’"

"We all think we do. But the fact is, you look at this person and you might be crazy in love, but we don’t know how to handle those feelings."

Mike Tyson then expounded on this, growing increasingly animated and looking like he was about ready to pound somebody - anybody - into submission himself:

"Do I think it’s right to beat up a woman? No! Hell no! Have I hit a woman before? Hell yeah!!! Was I wrong? Hell yeah!!! I’m a product of that environment. Do I regret ever doing that? Hell yeah!! Would I do it again? Never!!"

Tyson served three years in prison for raping Desiree Washington in 1991. His ex-wife, Robin Givens, accused of him of spousal abuse two years earlier.

Mike Tyson pled to one count of felony cocaine possession and one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence, and will be on probation for three years.
