It's a good week to be Michael Douglas.

The actor earned a Golden Globe last night for his role in HBO's Behind the Candleabra, and he's signed on for an even bigger movie role.

Marvel insiders confirm that the veteran actor will star opposite Paul Rudd as Ant-Man in the big screen adaption of this comic. He will play the villainous Hank Pym.

Michael Douglas Wins!

“With Hank Pym’s rich history in the Marvel Universe, we knew we needed an actor capable of bringing the weight and stature to the role that the character deserves,” said Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige in a statement.

Michael Douglas took home the Emmy last night for Best Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries for his role as Liberace in HBO's Behind the Candelabra.

But the veteran actor made headlines more for what he said than what he won, using his acceptance speech to refer to Catherinze Zeta-Jones as his "wife," despite talk of a separation; and also making a gay joke at the expense of co-star Matt Damon.

Douglas concluded his time on stage by saying he hopes to see his son soon, a reference to the incarceration of son Cameron for dealing Crystal Meth.

What, exactly, did Douglas mean? Why can he not visit his son in prison? The actor explained in more detail backstage at the ceremony:

Michael Douglas was all about the innuendo and appeared to joke about gay sex during his acceptance speech at the 2013 Emmy Awards in L.A.

Winning Best Actor in a TV-Movie or Miniseries for his role in the Liberace film Behind the Candelabra, the 68-actor was in a jubilant, playful mood.

"Thank you my academy, fellow members, thank you so much and to the great performances by all the other nominees," Douglas began, before turning to co-star Matt Damon.

"But obviously there's one nominee in particular that I have to really thank: Matt."

"This is a two-hander, and you're only as good as your other hand," he said.

Michael Douglas is still sporting his wedding ring, and it's not just symbolic, he says. He wants everyone to know he is still married to Catherine Zeta-Jones.

The star responded to recent reports about his separation from Zeta-Jones by saying "there is no crisis" and they "are fine" despite a "temporary separation."

Douglas was in Berlin for the premiere of his movie Behind the Candelabra, when a reporter asked him why he was still wearing a ring on his wedding finger.

His simple response? "I'm married."

Just last week, the couple's reps said they were separating after 13 years. Conflicting reports aside, it looks like Douglas isn't ready to throw in the towel.

Michael Douglas' nearly 13-year marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones "went downhill" immediately after his HPV admission, according to a new report.

The 68-year-old actor claimed that his throat cancer may have been derived from contracting the sexually transmitted disease via giving oral sex.

His wife was reportedly not pleased, to say the absolutely least.

"It all went downhill from there," a source told The Sun (UK).

Oral sex or not, their mutual health issues have been widely blamed for Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones' separation, which they just announced.

Move aside, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom. Another famous Hollywood couple is now living apart.

The latest issue of People chronicles the crumbling marriage of Michael Douglass and Catherine Zeta-Jones, with a source telling the magazine that neither side has filed for separation, but:

"They're taking a break."

The stars got married in 2000 and have been through a great deal together, from Douglas' battle with cancer to Zeta-Jones' bipolar disorder. The latter was released from her latest rehab stint in May.

Michael Douglas is 68 years old and is married to a gorgeous 43-year old.

And now we know why.

In a very revealing interview with The Guardian, the veteran actor touched on a number of topics, including his 2010 throat cancer diagnosis.

"Without wanting to get too specific, this particular cancer is caused by HPV [human papillomavirus], which actually comes about from cunnilingus," Douglas told the newspaper.

Catherine Zeta-Jones has left rehab and is "raring to go," according to a very reliable source: husband Michael Douglas.

For the second time in two years, the Oscar winner checked herself into a treatment facility late last month to deal with issues related to Bipolar Disorder, but Douglas spoke to Extra from Cannes last night and said of his wife:

"Catherine's doing wonderful. She's got herself worked out with her meds."

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas

Like Demi Lovato, Zeta-Jones has been open with her struggles, Doulgas says, because she wants to de-stigmatize the concept of mental illness. She also wants to control the news about her.

"There are so many outlets, so it's better you get out in front of it tell your story before it becomes gossip," the actor said.

We admire how candid Catherine has been and we wish her nothing but the best.

Is throat-cancer survivor Michael Douglas smoking again, just months after enduring grueling treatment for the disease? Star and Radar say he is.

The photos appear in the new issue of the celebrity gossip tabloid and were allegedly taken July 21. He is shown on a yacht in Porto Venere, Italy.

The legendary actor is clearly smoking in the cover photo, and in more images inside the magazine. The question is when they were really taken.

Michael Douglas Cancer Shocker!

Michael Douglas went through chemotherapy and radiation last year, bravely beating cancer, making these new photos - if legit - even more stunning.

The oldest, easiest trick in the tabloid book is the file photo, though. Using an old or misleading image to make a cover stand out is par for the course.

We can't guarantee that's what's going on here, but we also wouldn't bet against that. It's worth noting that he was a heavy smoker prior to 2010.

There's also the possibility that he was smoking medicinal marijuana, but even that would still expose Douglas to potentially damaging side effects.

Douglas has yet to comment about the photos.
