Former Bachelor star Matt Grant, who starred on the show's 12th season and got engaged to Shayne Lamas for like 12 seconds, has a new show in the works.

Its name? Pimp My Bride! Sadly, we are serious.

"[It's] an organic follow-up to The Bachelor," the British financier said, adding that he first conceptualized the series after finishing filming The Bachelor back in 2008. "It's bascially about the groom being in control of the wedding."

No couple from The Bachelor has ever had a wedding, of course (minor details) but maybe Jake Pavelka can pimp Vienna Girardi on the series premiere!

In addition to producing Pimp My Bride, Grant, whose engagement to Shayne Lamas was quite short-lived is also considering taking part of another new show.

"They've asked me to possibly do the Bachelor Pad show," he said. "It's like Big Brother Bachelor with all the Bachelors in a house. I've thought about doing it because I'm obviously not famous anymore and it would give me 15 minutes!"

Well, at least he's up front about that. Gotta give him credit there.

Shayne was really, really, REALLY excited about getting a rose.

It's been four weeks since Jason Mesnick dumped Melissa Rycroft for Molly Malaney on The Bachelor's "After the Final Rose" special. It was a stunning TV event, but all parties have moved on and seem to be happy with where they are in life.

That hasn't stopped Jason's Bachelor predecessor, Matt Grant, from sharing his unsolicited, boring two cents on the season finale almost a month later.

Specifically, Mesnick's move of going off-script and unceremoniously breaking up with Rycroft and romancing runner-up Molly was not smart, Grant says.

“This guy kind of committed suicide,” Matt Grant opined at The 23rd Genesis Awards in Beverly Hills on Saturday night. “He’s a nice man. I’ve met him quite a few times. But I think he should have gone about it differently.”

The world is still watching anxiously as Mesnick and Malaney continue their courtship while the jilted Rycroft struts her stuff on Dancing with the Stars, keeping an eye on everything as the three resume life away from The Bachelor cameras.

Matt Grant, however, does give Mesnick credit for facing up to his mistake early on. “Ultimately, he had the [guts] to say, ‘I screwed up.’”

The London native, who says he’s still dating his publicist Sarah Robarts - admits he was lucky in his role on The Bachelor: London Calling. “I had an easy ride. I had a great group of women; we all just got on fairly well.”

Grant proposed to that skank Shayne Lamas but their engagement ended in July of last year after she reportedly cheated on him numerous times.

Former star of The Bachelor Matt Grant has not given up on love since his split with his airhead reality TV fling. The British hunk is head over heels in love again — this time for his British-born public relations representative, Sarah Robarts.

Matt Grant, 28, says his business relationship with Sarah Robarts, 39 and a single mother of two, eventually evolved into a serious emotional bond.

“It’s the best relationship I have ever been in,” Grant said. “I’m completely in love. She’s extremely beautiful inside and out. She’s one in a million.”

Matt Grant has ditched Shayne Lamas for his rep, Sarah Robarts.

Sure, he said these things about Shayne Lamas too, but everyone figured he was going to dump that annoying ditz in a matter of weeks. And he did.

When the two first met following Matt Grant’s starring role (and engagement to Lamas) on The Bachelor, it was all business.

But even then, he says, “I couldn’t help but think, ‘Man she’s hot.’”

Despite his ex-fiancée’s lies claims, The Bachelor star Matt Grant is definitely not cool with Shayne Lamas keeping their engagement ring.

“It wasn’t a ‘gift’ so much,” the British-born Grant says. “It’s not a TV or a handbag. It’s a symbol of a marriage that didn’t happen.”

Shayne Lamas recently said she planned to keep the 2.85-carat diamond ring “safe and clean and in a glass box — like a glass slipper.”

She claimed Matt Grant approved, adding, “He wants to come over and look at it.”

He says that conversation never happened.

“We never discussed this,” he says. “I never said it was cool to just keep it. If she said we spoke about it, then she just made that up. Sometimes she thinks she can say anything and that I’ll go along with it.”

Amazing to think these two never got married, isn't it?

Almost as soon as the final rose was presented, Grant and Lamas were dogged by rumors of infidelity. Specifically, Shayne was said to have been screwing Justin Weneger in Las Vegas. They split earlier this month.

Matt Grant says he doesn’t want the ring back, necessarily, but thinks Shayne Lamas should at least auction it off for charity.

“Let’s have something good come out of this,” he said of the $65,000 rock. “Why hold onto it? What’s the point?”

Their engagement has ended, but Shayne Lamas has every intention of keeping the ring presented to her by The Bachelor star Matt Grant.

“I have it and I am going to keep it forever for the rest of my life,” Lamas said. “It’s safe and clean and in a glass box like a glass slipper.”

And according to Lamas, Matt Grant has no problem with that arrangement: “Of course (he doesn’t). He wants to come over and look at it.”

Fans of the reality show watched Grant get down on bended knee and present the ring to Shayne Lamas on the final episode of The Bachelor.

A month later, the two were no longer living together.

“I did not cheat on Matt,” insists the ditzy Shayne. “I would never, ever cheat on Matt. He was my fiancé.”

Every so often in the crazy celebrity gossip biz, a story hits that is so sad and so shocking that it knocks the wind out of you, leaving you shaking your head and wondering what, if anything, you can count on in this world.

This is not one of those stories.

In fact, it might be the biggest The-Hollywood-Gossip-told-you-so of all time. The "engagement" between British bachelor Matt Grant and horny, ditzy fiancee Shayne Llamas is officially over. Take a deep breath and try to contain yourselves.

Just two days after New York Post reported that Shayne Lamas had cheated on The Bachelor star with Las Vegas media mogul Justin Weneger, Lamas phoned Grant and called off their wedding, which was apparently scheduled.

Now that comes as a bit of a shock.

On The Bachelor season finale, Shayne Lamas' eyes were fixed firmly on the prize - 15 minutes of fame and a Girls Gone Wild magazine cover shoot.

Spies said the aspiring actress is planning a trip to see Justin Weneger soon. Matt Grant, who has moved out of Shayne's pad, is said to be devastated.

Maybe next time he won't pick some annoying airhead who's willing to distribute the vadge and say just about anything she thinks will boost her profile.

At the recent Bachelorette finale, Shayne Lamas and Matt Grant - engaged as of The Bachelor finale earlier this year - told everyone they were still together and to "not believe the rumors." We still believed the rumors all the way.

Looks like we may be right.

While Bachelorette hotties DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak appear headed for the altar, Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas ... well ...

The New York Post reports that Shayne Lamas was in Las Vegas last week with Justin Weneger, a media mogul of sorts. They were apparently "hooking up" at Blush in the Wynn. A source said, "Matt Grant has no idea. She hasn't dumped him yet."

O-for-12! O-for-12! Face it, Shayne Lamas and Matt Grant are doomed.

We can only hope that Shayne becomes the next star of The Bachelorette.

That airheaded, annoying oh-face machine really brightened our Mondays for a time. No doubt she could carry her own show - and would eat up the publicity faster than the dudes would eat her ... is this thing on?

So far, no Bachelor couple has made it to the altar (Bachelorette Trista Sutter has). But the show's latest lovebirds are determined to be first.

There is no wedding date set, she's a total basket case and he already moved out of her apartment in L.A., but a source close to Shayne Lamas (her dad, Lorenzo!) says she and Matt Grant remain on track for a wedding.

Will Matt and Shayne beat this season's newly-engaged Bachelorette stars, DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak, to the altar? For what it's worth, DeAnna and Jesse have already set a date: May 9, 2009. What do you think?

The Bachelor star Matt Grant, is no longer living with fiancée Shayne Lamas, though the Brit insists that all is well with the two.

The couple have cohabitated at Shayne Lamas' Century City, Calif., place since the Bachelor season ended with the two getting engaged.

But Matt Grant moved because the two "need space to grow."

"I had to get my own life out here (in L.A.)," says Grant.

"Get my career and friends and have my own circle. That's important in a relationship. That you are not entirely on top of someone."

Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas got engaged on The Bachelor in May.

The couple has been dogged by rumors of discord since their TV engagement.

Grant says that they are doing well overall, though.

She reacted like she sat on his face. Then she surprised him with a very classy photo spread in Girls Gone Wild magazine.

But The Bachelor star, Matt Grant, says he has no problem with fame-whore fiancée Shayne Lamas' revealing pictures in Joe Francis' rag.

"As we English say, I really feel it was ‘a storm in a teacup,'" Grant said. "I believe it was blown out of proportion. I stand by Shayne 110 percent."

There was a flurry of media appearances after Grant got down on one knee to propose to Lamas on the finale of The Bachelor, but crickets after the Girls Gone Wild photos hit the web the very next Tuesday.

The pictures in the issue out June 3 do not show Shayne Lamas naked, but in this shot, she's wearing little more than a smile and a wedding veil.
