If I had to pick one person in the world to help me overcome a sex addiction, Gwyneth Paltrow would probably pretty low on the list of responsible choices.

But, as they say, you don't pick who you use as a means to overcome sex addiction in favor of true love.

Check out the trailer for Thanks for Sharing, starring Mark Ruffalo as a sex addict:

The film follows three different people in a 12-step program for sex addiction, mainly Ruffalo's character Adam who battles his addiction while beginning a new relationship with Paltrow's character Phoebe.

Josh Gad, Tim Robbins, Joely Richardson, Patrick Fugit, Carol Kane, Pink, and Michaela Watkins also star.

Thanks for Sharing will hit theaters September 20.

Scott Ruffalo, a hairdresser and the brother of actor Mark Ruffalo, is in critical condition after being shot in the head on Monday, according to TMZ.

Police have begun an investigation into the shooting.

Sources close to the case say Scott Ruffalo was the apparent victim of a "suspicious shooting" that took place in his own Beverly Hills apartment.

Cops are also trying to determine if anything criminal took place, meaning they haven't ruled out an accidental shooting or a suicide attempt.

Mark Ruffalo has starred in many films, including You Can Count on Me, Zodiac, 13 Going on 30, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

We will keep you updated as the story develops. Here's hoping Scott Ruffalo makes it and police determine the reason for his shooting quickly.
