On the eve of the Democratic National Convention, Madonna has sparked some controversy by including Republican presidential hopeful John McCain in a video montage on her tour that includes Adolf Hitler and Robert Mugabe.

The montage is shown as Madonna sings "Get Stupid" on her "Sticky & Sweet" tour. Images of John McCain, Hitler and Mugabe appear among a litany of images of destruction and global warming until the song nears its end.

That's when images of John Lennon, Al Gore, Mahatma Gandhi and yes, even Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama, are shown.

John McCain's camp quickly fired back against this lunacy.

"The comparisons are outrageous, unacceptable and crudely divisive all at the same time," McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds said.

"It clearly shows that when it comes to supporting Barack Obama, his fellow celebrities refuse to consider any attack off limits," he added.

Regardless of how you feel about McCain, the Material Girl may have gone a bit overboard in likening him to genocidal maniacs. Just a bit.

The quality of this video is terrible, but it does give us our first look at Britney Spears‘ cameo video on Madonna’s “Sticky & Sweet” tour.

It’s from the possible Alex Rodriguez soulmate's first concert at the Millennium Stadium in the Welsh city of Cardiff on Saturday night.

As reported earlier, Britney Spears is stuck in an elevator and whispers the profound words “express yourself, don’t repress yourself.”

Spears, who appears demonic and possessed (which is likely the point), ends the video with her now infamous line, “It’s Britney, b!tch.”

Since his "affair of the heart" was exposed, the personal life of Alex Rodriguez could best be called tumultuous. At worst, a train wreck.

The Sun (UK) reports that things aren't well with Madonna, either.

Apparently, the troubled Material Girl was recently diagnosed with anemia and exhaustion because she hasn't been taking care of herself.

“Madonna is doing less than OK. She has been rehearsing for the tour and she is totally miserable. She’s down physically and mentally. The situation with Guy is very, very tense. The way the press are going crazy with the A-Rod story, her brother’s book and her physical exhaustion are all taking their toll on her."

For the record, there's a better chance of Tiffany Pollard winning an Academy Award than there is of this story being true.

Still, it's our job to report on all celebrity gossip making the rounds - and this one is a doozy!

According to Great Britain's The Daily Mail, a cameraman is trying to pedddle a Maddona/Alex Rodriguez sex tape.

The unnamed voyeur claims the tape was shot with a hidden camera in an apartment owned by one of the singer's Kabbalah friends, allegedly used by her and A-Rod for secret afternoon trysts.

Rumors of an Alex Rodriguez/Madonna sex tape are swirling. How would Josyln Morse feel about that?

Last night, Madonna’s lawyers said they were “aware” of the cameraman's sex tape claims, but would not comment on the rumor.

If the video is real, we wonder if Cynthia Rodriguez can use it in divorce court. We also wonder if there would be any point in continuing our careers as entertainment news reporters.

New York Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez was smitten with Madonna six months ago, exchanging text messages with her in Miami while dining with a friend, according to iffy unnamed sources quoted by Us Weekly.

"He kept smiling, acting as if he was a little kid," the dinner companion told the celebrity news mag. "He told me it was Madonna. I was shocked."

The highest-paid player in baseball then "proceeded to say he was in love with her," the pal tells Us. "I thought he was kidding, but he wasn't."

By February, the 32-year-old slugger had upped the ante. "He said, 'She's my f--king soulmate, dude,'" the supposed friend reports.

On Monday, Cynthia Rodriguez, A-Rod's wife of nearly five years, filed for divorce. Last week, news broke that Alex had been making late night visits to Madonna's apartment. Sources are calling it an "affair of the heart."

"Without talking about specifics of sexual conduct, there's no question [that there was an affair]," C-Rod's attorney, Earle Lilly, said in a statement. "No one very often has pictures of the actual sex itself."

As the rumors continue to swirl about the nature of relationship with baseball star Alex Rodriguez, Madonna has announced that Britney Spears will tape a song that will air during the Material Girl's "Sticky & Sweet" tour.

Madonna's rep, Liz Rosenberg, confirmed the collaboration.

"Britney's segment film within the next week or so," she said. "Madonna specifically asked to work with Britney again."

NO GIRL-ON-GIRL REDUX: Madonna and Britney Spears are best remembered for the best kiss ever, but this time, the latter will only appear on video, unfortch.

So glad the stars â€" who famously "performed" at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003 along with Christina Aguilera - will reunite, albeit virtually.

Good stuff. Taped is probably best, too. Madonna could have probably cajoled Britney Spears into performing live, but ... we all know she can't.

With Cynthia Rodriguez filing for divorce (although not updating her MySpace page today), speculation as to the nature of the odd relationship between Madonna and Alex Rodriguez continues to dominate celebrity news.

Not to worry, Cynthia Rodriguez. It was only an "affair of the heart."

After putting up with her husband's liaisons with Joslyn Morse and others, Cynthia Rodriguez finally left Yankees star Alex Rodriguez over his rumored affair with Madonna - or at least his newfound interest in Kabbalah.

"Cynthia has left Alex," a source close to C-Rod confirmed. "Let's see if she goes for the divorce. He made her sign a prenup. Cynthia is a strong person, but a wife with two young children can only take so much."

Cynthia Rodriguez will file for divorce today in Florida, citing the Rod's "emotional abandonment" but not naming Madonna in the official filings.

Another source close to the slugger's wife adds:

"The embarrassment over Madonna was the final straw. [Cynthia Rodriguez] flew to Paris to get out of town before everything blew up between them. There is no affair with Lenny Kravitz. They are good friends.'"

Alex Rodriguez belted his 536th career dinger last night, but he hasn't been hitting any home runs off the field with Madonna or Cynthia Rodriguez, apparently.

Kravitz denies that his relationship with Cynthia Rodriguez is romantic, and Madonna issued a similar denial of railing A-Rod over the weekend.

However, according to the New York Post, Alex Rodriguez's former trainer Dodd Romero, the godfather to the couple's two daughters, believes the player drifted apart from his family "by the excitement of Madonna."
