Lucas Grabeel might be the prettiest girl in the High School Musical cast.

Take a look at the actor in a dress on the set of his new movie, Milk. The film is about California's first openly gay elected politician, Harvey Milk (Sean Penn).

Grabeel will reportedly play Daniel Nicoletta, a clerk in Milk's famed Castro Street camera store in San Francisco.

Lucas Grabeel Lands Major Movie Role

Lucas Grabeel been cast in a major motion picture: he'll star alongside Sean Penn and James Franco in the Harvey Milk biopic, Milk.

The flick tells the tale of the slain San Franciso gay activist and politician.

Grabeel will portray Danny Nicoletta, a friend and supporter of Harvey Milk. Nicoletta worked at the camera store that Harvey owned, while also working on Harvey's political campaigns.

This marks yet another step up for a High School Musical star:

Zac Efron has signed on to star in a pair of big movies (Seventeen and Me and Orsen Welles), while Vanessa Hudgens will appear in Will.

We only ask because, well, have you even heard of Lucas Grabeel?

He's Efron's co-star in High School Musical, portraying the role of Ryan Evans, brother of Sharpay (Ashley Tisdale). Still, it seems as though Efron gets the majority of attention, having picked up movie roles in Hairspray and the upcoming Seventeen.
