Curious how The Sports Gal - wife of ESPN columnist Bill Simmons, a.k.a. The Sports Guy - feels about the heated 2008 presidential election?

We have no idea how she feels about that. But when it comes to the alleged pay discrepancies on MTV's The Hills, she's happy to tell us:

"The Hills salaries and it bothered me that Lo makes six times less than Heidi. Lo and her eye rolls and bitchy comments are the key to the show. Lo Bosworth calls it like she sees it and here's what she sees: Audrina, a wanna-be rocker chick with W.T. friends whose goal in life is to become a Crest Whitestrip. If I shared a house with Audrina Patridge, I would make her live in the servant's quarters like Lo did. Anyhoo, Lo is so much more valuable than the humorless, cue-card-reading, seven-hours-of-makeup-wearing, fake-job-having Heidi. I urge MTV to cut Heidi Montag's makeup/hair extensions budget by $20,000 a week and give the extra money to Lo."

Great stuff. And the SG doesn't make terrible points.

Lauren Conrad tends to side with Lo, who seems to get a raw deal from fans at times. As for Heidi, we have little to add to such brilliance.

Or, as Lauren Conrad says of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, in a line not at all fed to her by executive producer Adam DiVello, "I don't know if it follows them as much as they chase it." So profound, LC. So profound.

On the second episode of The Hills' 4th season, Stephanie Pratt invites Lauren Conrad to her birthday party. That sounds well and good, until we learn Spencer and Heidi are gonna roll, too. Great ready for hectic drama!

Whitney Port saw this one coming big time. At work, she shows some concern when Lauren tells her that she’s going to Stephanie Pratt’s party, feeling that a run in with Heidi and Spencer is inevitable - and far from pretty.

On the career front, Whitney gets invited out to dinner with Kelly Cutrone and other People's Revolution peeps. She seems to be moving up in the company and getting more responsibility, which excites her but also nervous.

At Epic Records, Audrina Patridge vents to Chiara about Lo - who must have gone to a stylist right before they went out, because she looks flat-out ridic to us. Anyway, Audrina and Lo vow to try to make nice at the party.

They don't really succeed.

It was a Pratt family feud last night on The Hills.

At first, Spencer Pratt didn't even want to show his ugly mug at Stephanie's b-day party. Unfortunately for us, Heidi talks into into it, telling him not to let LC ruin his relationship with a family member. Spencer agrees, but only reluctantly.

Lauren and Lo arrived at Steph's party first, with Audrina Patridge, Frankie Delgado, Brody Jenner and Doug Reinhardt showing up a little later.

Before recapping last night's episode of The Hills - or whatever you call the 10 minutes of show surrounded by 20 minutes of ads - a quick note:

You suck, MTV.

We realize ads pay for the entertainment, and that you want to milk every cent out of your one hit show. But eight straight minutes? Jackasses.

Anyway.

Before 12 Taco Bell ads destroyed our love for it, the fourth season of The Hills started off great. It began at work with Whitney and Lauren.

Lauren is clearly preoccupied about her hot date with Doug Reinhardt later that night. She tells Whitney Port all about it. Giggling ensues.

LC's somewhat-estranged roommate, Audrina Patridge, reveals her weekend plans to amusingly-named Chiara, her co-worker at Epic Records.

Turns out Lauren Conrad is throwing her a birthday bash at the house. Should be a lot of fun, right? Well, Chiara is worried - and not at all prompted by the producers to say so - that tension between Audrina and Lo will ruin it. 

Meanwhile, on The Hills 2.0, a.k.a. SpeidiLand, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are living together again, but little does he know she has told Holly Montag, her sister from Colorado, that she can stay with them for a bit.

When he finds out, Spencer Pratt immediately wants rid of Holly and acts like a total d!ck, rejecting the nice breakfast she made and everything.

He sleeps until noon, then promptly goes back to bed. Apparently man has quite a flexible schedule. No discernible employment will allow that.

In honor of The Hills starting its 4th season next week, and Lauren Conrad's recent comments that drama between her roommates remains, we are asking fans of the "reality" series once again which BFF they prefer for our girl LC ...

Last night Lauren Conrad (LC) and Lauren Bosworth (Lo) hit the "The Do Something Awards" - the Teen Choice Awards pre-party - in Los Angeles.

The question we have for you, fans of both celebrity fashion and The Hills - is which Lauren do you think wore the best outfit on this night?

Lauren "Lo" Bosworth went a bit more colorful than Lauren Conrad, but both looked great. Whose outfit do you like better, celebrity fashion critics?

The Hills' Lauren Conrad got her crunk on last night at the Key Club and, needless to say, was a tad wobbly as she staggered out da club.

But, unlike Shia LaBeouf, LC and cohort Lauren Bosworth (Lo) actually know enough to collapse into the passenger seat and get a ride ...

Lauren Conrad and Lauren Bosworth may appear airheaded at times on The Hills, but they're smart enough not to drive drunk. Lindsay Lohan, take note.

Seriously, this Season Four preview alone is a theatrical masterpiece. It's as if it's a movie, only the actors don't know they're in it ... or are at least really good at pretending there aren't 12 cameras following them to Les Deux.

Whether you're an unabashed fan of Lauren Conrad and The Hills or say you're not, but you still can't turn off MTV's guilty-pleasure phenomenon, watch the following trailer in awe and count down the days until Monday, August 18:

Looks like Lauren Conrad may have even more BFF drama in the upcoming fourth season of The Hills, which premieres August 18.

Frenemy du jour: Stephanie Pratt.

In a new trailer, Lauren Conrad confronts Stephanie about going on a date with her handsome new baseball player beau, Doug Reinhardt.

Meanwhile, Lo Bosworth and Audrina Patridge confront their own drama, and Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are — wait for it — fighting.

This time, a stubborn Spencer Pratt says he's moving out of their apartment if Heidi's sister, Holly Montag, becomes their third roommate.

As avid fans of The Hills, we've often thought of Lauren Bosworth (Lo) as the sidekick, roomie and BFF of Lauren Conrad (LC), not a star in her own right.

This photo of Lo in a yellow bikini could change that.

Seriously, while many of you chose Team Audrina over Team Lo, we're leaning towards the latter these days. Maybe it's the hair. Or the demure smile.

Or the definitive lack of fake boobs.

HEIDI MONTAG WHO? The Hills has a new bikini babe in Lauren Bosworth.

These are indeed lean economic times.

Even The Hills star Lauren "Lo" Bosworth, who graduated with an art history degree from UCLA in June, is having trouble getting a job nowadays.

Not that unemployment doesn't have its perks.

"I have just been hanging out by the pool," she told Us Weekly at the Intermix VH1 Rock Honors Exclusive VIP Party in Los Angeles.

"I would love to get my own style show or something like that," Lo said when asked what she'd like to be doing ... at some point.

In addition to scoring a degree at UCLA, Lauren Bosworth said she also found a guy, whom she declined to name. Unlike Doug Reinhardt, Lo's man won't be appearing on the new season of The Hills when it debuts in August.

"Being on the show conflicts with his job," Lo said. "He works in finance."

Anyone have a clue who Lo's new man is? If so, help us out!
