After a brief trip to St. Maarten for some Speidi-esque staged bikini pics, Kristin Cavallari returned to the familiar territory of SoCal to film The Hills.

The "new cast member" (who knew you could simply pluck one out of the air on a "reality" show) was seen dining out and hamming it up for the cameras ...

LC who? Kristin Cavallari is the new (old?) face of the MTV hit.

While Lauren Conrad is now off The Hills, some of her friends who remain on it say Kristin is out to change the entire dynamic of the show.

"[Kristin] is here to create as much drama for the show as possible, and she doesn't care how she does it," the annoying Stephanie Pratt confessed.

As the promo says, the bitch is back.

We were under no delusions that The Hills was real, or anything close.

But when its star wants out and a new troublemaker - who has not been seen nor heard from in years - mysteriously "joins the cast," walking in on the season's climactic scene no less, any trace of believability was pretty much jettisoned.

The question is, does anyone care?

Lauren Conrad's replacement, Kristin Cavallari, is already shaking things up on screen, as evidenced by MTV's new Hills trailer, and off screen, it did not take her long to channel her inner Speidi. Check out this hot, staged bikini photo:

Heidi Montag would be so proud - except that Kristin obviously needs bleached hair and major plastic surgery before truly attaining Heidi's fame whore status.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Lauren Conrad.

Making a grand, staged entrance at Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag's wedding, Kristin Cavallari was introduced as Lauren's replacement on The Hills Sunday.

In mere minutes of screen time, LC's former Laguna Beach rival has already left her mark and positioned herself as the star of the show's upcoming season.

Kristin Cavallari is even billed as such in a new trailer for future Hills episodes, when we will see her befriend Stacie the Bartender (yes, Spencer's girl), flirt with Justin-Bobby of all people, and loudly declare to someone, “You f%&ked with the wrong girl!”

As the promo itself proclaims, "The Bitch is Back" ...

The hour-long finale of The Hills began with Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth packing up their house. Guess now that Lauren is retiring from The Hills, she has to move out of the $2.2 million house MTV was paying for. Just kidding. Maybe.

The roommates decide to throw a final party for their closest friends.

What a perfect opportunity to stage awkward conversations about Spencer and Heidi's wedding and tie up plot points bring the whole gang together for a fun time.

Encouraged by Frankie Delgado to attend the upcoming Speidi wedding, LC responded with, "I'll be at the next one." Ohhhhh, snap, Spencer. No way she's going now, right? Well, don't be so sure. Because we already know she is.

After all, Spencer Pratt is a changed man if you haven't noticed. He even convinced Heidi Montag's mom, Darlene, to give him her blessing. Impressive.

Brody Jenner, however, was not buying Spencer's "nice guy" persona.

"You have lost your mind," Brody laughed during a guys' lunch with his childhood BFF, who admitted going to marriage counseling. "I have a beautiful relationship with a beautiful girl. We have a great time - we don't need to go to therapy!"

Notwithstanding cheating on Jayde Nicole with Audrina Patridge, sparking Audzo's feud with Jayde that has dominated much of this spring, of course.

Meanwhile, Heidi was in full wedding-planning mode. Too bad her maid of honor was the most inept, unstable and worthless maid of honor in history.

Amazingly, we are not talking about Stephanie Pratt!

Heidi's big sister Holly Montag had the big title and managed to mess it up at every turn. She didn't write down the gifts Heidi got at her shower, gave a comically bad speech at the rehearsal dinner, and had an epic, drunken meltdown later.

Absolutely amazing showing, Holly.

Once the big day arrived, all anyone could talk about was whether LC would show up. And she did. A little awkwardly. Their exchange went as follows:

Lauren Conrad:  "You're getting married!"
Heidi Montag: "It's crazy! And you're here!"
Lauren Conrad: "I'm supposed to be."

Read: Because the producers made her. Knowing she's not returning to The Hills after this particular event, she can't even hide her disdain and fake it.

The guests at the wedding included Justin-Bobby, who clearly did not bother to shower, along with Perez Hilton, Spencer's Nana and Heidi's dad, Bill.

Oh, and lightning rod Kristin Cavallari, who shockingly returned to the MTV payroll witness the nuptials of the couple she helped set up many years ago.

As Lauren Conrad realized that she had been replaced, by Kristin Cavallari, on her own show, and reacted with what appeared to be legitimate disgust, her former rival successfully recaptured the spotlight in a matter of minutes.

She flirted with Justin-Bobby for reasons unknown, rubbed in Audrina's face that she flirted with him for obvious reasons (no wonder Audrina hates her already), flashed do-me eyes at Brody, glared at LC and caught Heidi's bouquet.

Oh, and Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag officially tied the knot. Hooray, we guess.

Excuse Lauren Conrad if she can't stand up straight these days. The newly retired reality star is still pulling that knife out of her back.

In an interview with E! News, Holly Montag showed serious love for new co-star Kristin Cavallari.

"I think Kristin's openness is going to be far more entertaining than anything Lauren had to offer," Holly said. "Lauren's always been very conservative, which is good for her values, but Kristin just wants to put everything on the line because she thinks reality is real. Kristin doesn't hide anything. She's seriously the most real girl you'll meet in reality television."

Isn't that like being the tallest person at a midget convention?

Holly Montag admires Kristin Cavallari for being "real." We admire Montag if she was able to keep a straight face while making that statement.

Despite implying that LC is fake, Holly wishes nothing but the best for her pal:

"I'm happy she's done with this. Now, that she's out if it, I have no doubt she'll be a successful designer. She's so talented and driven."

Meanwhile, Stacie Hall - the bartender that's dating Frankie Delgado - has already partied with Kristin.

"Kristin's a really fun, outgoing person, and I think we're going to have a great time continuing to film," Stacie said. "Lauren is a good, good girl, but Kristin is more outgoing and crazy."

Talk about a sexy, but contentious trio.

Brody Jenner, Playmate girlfriend Jayde Nicole and his ex-girlfriend - and new star of The Hills - Kristin Cavallari filmed their new Tequila Don Julio campaign in L.A.

From the looks of the photo below, Brody and his babes, past and present, were in good spirits. At least Jayde didn't threaten to punch Kristin ... we think:

Kristin and Brody, who dated before he went out with Lauren Conrad, and even set up Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt on their first date, also attended a birthday party at Pinches Tacos yesterday. Jayde Nicole was on hand for that as well.

While Kristin and Jayde rocked short shorts, Brody Jenner, ever the man of trend-setting style, celebrated his love of culture in a tasteful poncho and sombrero.

We can only hope it becomes his new look.

While details of some of The Hills stars' recent drama won’t be shown until September, we know Audrina Patridge hates Kristin almost as hard as she does Jayde.

Looks like the long-running feud between Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag (and the recent producer-forced reconciliation) is sooooo last week.

A new battle could soon be emerging on The Hills, with Audrina Patridge and LC's replacement and old nemesis Kristin Cavallari squaring off.

"I don't like her," Patridge said on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show.

Audzo confirmed the two had a fight the first day of filming new episodes. It is rumored that Kristin is pursuing Patridge's smelly ex, Justin-Bobby.

She did not divulge details, but said, "When someone gets in my face, I have to defend myself ... I can't say much. They'll show it, but I mean, all I have to say is, it's really pathetic and desperate what people will do when the cameras are around."

Audrina is picking up where LC left off in hating on Kristin.

"It was my birthday, and I was just like, Oh, my God. Is this what we're going to have to deal with?'" Audrina Patridge recalled on the radio show.

Audzo did not discuss her fling with Star Trek's Chris Pine: "There's always speculation of anyone I hang out with or anything I do," she coyly said.

Pressed for more, she replied, "My lips are sealed."

But while she wouldn't go on the record as riding the Pine, she could not resist slamming her ass clown ex, leaving with this parting shot: "From Justin-Bobby, I think any guy is an upgrade. I've learned so much since that relationship."

Oh, snap. Whose side are you on ...

While Stephanie Pratt will miss Lauren Conrad when she leaves The Hills, she's already gearing up for a new BFF to enter on the scene: Kristin Cavallari.

Note to K-Cavs: Stephanie's ready to party with you.

"I just met her actually. She was really, really nice and she was the kind of person that if I ever see out, I'd say hi to her because I feel like I know her because she's known Lauren and Heidi forever," Stephanie Pratt said.

"We're excited because [Lauren Conrad] wasn't going out much at the end, so Kristin's all ready to party. I've had such good luck with making friendships with these girls, so I'm optimistic I can make a good relationship with Kristin."

Stephanie Pratt can't wait to crack open a cold one with Kristin Cavallari - and figure out the best strategies for meddling with her personal life - on The Hills this fall.

As for her own perceived role as an annoying instigator - plenty of fans blame her for trouble between brother Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag and LC - Steph says it's not true, despite the fact that it clearly is true on every episode of The Hills.

"Those blogs used to really upset me, about being the meddler," she says.

"But if I wasn't on the show, you'd basically have Heidi, Lauren and [Audrina Patridge] all by themselves because they're not friends. So, you'd be watching nothing if it wasn't for me bringing everyone together."

We're not sure that makes any sense, but for whatever it's worth, Stephanie Pratt is going on record not as a divider, but a uniter. With an IQ of 76.

Former Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari is set to return to reality TV on The Hills any day now. Well, not any day ... on the last episode of the season.

Soon enough, the one-time rival of Lauren Conrad will be back on MTV doing what she does best - partying, fighting, hooking up and reading cue cards.

Hey, it's a living - and certainly entertaining for us.

For now, the 22-year-old is enjoying the calm before the storm - chilling on the beach in Malibu, having a few drinks to celebrate Memorial Day weekend:

With a smile like that, can you imagine this girl stirring up drama? Actually yes, as she's come out and said that the producers want her to and that's why she's coming to The Hills - that and to boost her future acting career of course.

With Lauren Conrad retiring from The Hills, Kristin Cavallari is ready to take over - and you can guarantee the former Laguna Beach star will shake things up.

"Basically... they want me to come in and start some drama," the 22-year-old told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show. "I'm good for it, so it's fun."

Kristin's plans for the upcoming season?

"Drinking, fighting, hooking up - all that good stuff!"

As for her rumored romance with Audrina Patridge's ex, Justin-Bobby Brescia, which would likely be the most contrived and disgusting event in Hills history?

"I sat next to him at [Heidi and Spencer Pratt]'s wedding, yes," she teased. The wedding, which airs on The Hills May 31, is the season finale and her debut.

Justin-Bobby or no Justin-Bobby, Kristin Cavallari quips she's "on a man-hunt" after catching the wedding bouquet tossed by the bride at the Speidi nuptials.

"I am single and they want me to date on the show, which I'm excited about," the Laguna Beach nemesis of Lauren Conrad goes on. "They will introduce me to guys, and if goes somewhere, then they'll follow it. If not, it'll be over."

Cavallari says she didn't push Conrad out of the show.

"I had nothing to do with that," she insists. "[Lauren] was leaving, and I thought it was a good time to come in because she's gone."

Cavallari adds that she'll "hopefully" take over for LC as the narrator and that their much-hyped feud is sooo high school. "We're fine now," she says.

As for whether Heidi Montag has changed since she introduced her to Spencer Pratt four years ago, Kristin Cavallari leaves us with this awesome quote:

"I don't really hang out with her as much anymore... but looks-wise, I'd say... Listen, they know what they're doing and they're making a lot of money."
