Last night's episode of Kourtney & Kim Take New York featured the return of Shengo. You know, Kim's former bodyguard? Well, this time he's off the clock, people.

We don't even need to tell you what happened. But we will.

Elsewhere, Scott Disick proved yet again that he is a Class A Douchewaddle who can't wait to conquer the business world. If only he had the slightest clue how.

Our staff member reviews all the scripted action right here:

Ryan Seacrest and his producers are doing everything they can to keep us tuned into the Kardashians, and that includes capturing pillow talk the morning after.

You all remember Shengo, right? The Australian bodyguard who was hired to protect Kris Jenner's cash cow once upon a time? Now Shengo finds himself in the same city as Kim, and this Aussie beefcake is off the clock.

It's time to have a few cocktails and see where the night leads us, because things aren't like they were the last time these two were alone.

Earlier in the episode, Kourtney accused Kim of falling for men too quickly. Kim loves the idea of being in love, according to her (now) boring, older sister. It's so easy to judge the singletons from the confines of your hotel suite, hmmmm Kourtney?

Just wait until Scott picks you up for lunch....

Last night's episode of Kourtney & Kim Take New York focused on some events we saw play out months ago in real life, because these girls are celebrities and all.

Kim taking it all off for W Magazine (and feigning horror and how nude she looked in the final issue) and Scott Disick's nightclub fight were both shown last night.

Our staff member reviews all the action on both fronts here:

We're all in agreement that Kourtney & Kim Take New York is just as scripted as the other Kardashian reality shows, but does that keep us from watching?

Certainly not. In fact, last night's episode was reason enough to tune in for a few "realistic" reasons: the Kim Kardashian naked spread in November's W Magazine and the infamous club fight that transpired in October.

The producers happily burned whatever weaksauce script they had come up with, and instead captured the very essence of Kardashian drama.

We read about the details surrounding the night Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Scott were out at a club when a male fan asked Kim for a picture.

Things got out of hand when the fan's girlfriend accused Kim of hitting on her boyfriend. Though Kim did her best to convince the woman she wasn't trying to hit on her boyfriend, the woman continued to antagonize Kim.

Then Scott came to Kim's defense and attempted to break up the argument.

The series premiere of Kourtney & Kim Take New York proved that the Apocalypse is upon us set a ratings record for this franchise, garnering three million viewers in its original 10 p.m. time slot.

That's nearly twice as many as tuned in for this week's episode of Gossip Girl.

The above figure represents an increase of 400,000 viewers from the second season premiere of Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami last June and it has to make you think: if this many people follow Kim Kardashian on a weekly basis, she might as well say something worthwhile to them occasionally, right?

Below, in a scene 100% unscripted and totally natural, Kanye West pays Kim and Kourtney a visit:

New city. Same contrived nonsense.

Sunday's premiere of Kourtney & Kim Take New York on E! marked yet another reality series for this infamous family, a crew for which fame and living their scripted lives on camera has become synonymous with breathing.

Who are we kidding, we love it. And had a staff member review it here:

Kourtney & Kim Take New York premiered last night, and I enjoyed it. I would enjoy it more were the duo Kourtney and Khloe, but we'll see where the season goes.

I confess, I'm entertained by the Kardashians.

Sure, dollar signs blur their vision more often than not, but the family makes me laugh. Kris reminds me of my mother (don't tell her I said that), and Kim, Kourtney and Khloe remind me of my sisters and I (minus the great wardrobe and disposable income).

Don't lie - you and your sisters play "Which Kardashian Sister Are You" and fight over who is who. I find Khloe and Kourtney's relationship to be thoroughly amusing, and I find Kim to be a bit boring. Ergo I'm nervous about how the two older sibs will fare together in New York.
