Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou are proud parents of a new baby boy.

We know this because the fashion designer actually fired off a few messages on her Twitter account during child birth.

"It's time!! No turning back! At hospital in labor right now!!," she wrote, topping that Tweet a short while later with: "Having contractions now! Ooo- wee! It's like WHOA! Love & Light, KLS."

It's not just like "WHOA!" It's also like: isn't there a problem in society when, in the middle of life's most miraculous, memorable event, one takes the time to share it with complete strangers? Isn't there something to be said for privacy at times like this?

Thank goodness Kimora Lee Simmons took this photo of herself while in labor. Otherwise, complete strangers might have had no idea what she looks like in a hospital gown.

In exciting celebrity baby news, Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou are expecting their first child together, a source close to the couple confirms.

Simmons has two daughters, Ming Lee, 8, and Aoki Lee, 6, with hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, whom she divorced in 2008 after almost 10 years of marriage.

He soon began dating Porschla Coleman.

As for Kimora, she's had "a lot of hang-ups in life with men. I'm not trusting," she told Harper's Bazaar. "After my breakup, I thought, 'I don't need anything.'"

But after meeting Djimon Hounsou in February 2007, Kimora Lee Simmons said, "I have someone who has the heart, the soul, and the hotness."

Added Djimon Hounsou, "My first impression has always been the same, that she's a very beautiful lady, very capable and intelligent and smart with great family values. [Kimora] is the least high-maintenance lady I've ever dated."

Asked if she wanted more kids, Simmons said, "I would love to. I practice everyday."

Reality star Kimora Lee Simmons formally filed for divorce from her husband of almost 10 years, Russell Simmons, on Tuesday in L.A. Superior Court.

Citing irreconcilable differences, Kimora Lee Simmons, who was recently reported to be pregnant, is seeking legal and physical custody of her children.

Her kids are Ming Lee, 9, and Aoki Lee, 5, and they have lived up until now with both Kimora Lee and Russell Simmons, who were married in 1998.

Kimora Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons are now separated.

The Baby Phat designer, 32 â€" who is now dating actor / model Djimon Honsou â€" also requested that Russell Simmons, 50, be given "reasonable child visitation ... accompanied at all times by the nanny and security personnel."
