You could call Kid Rock the anti-Ashton Kutcher.

While the latter has amassed more Twitter followers than there are people in the state of Rhode Island, the former would just as soon kill himself than Tweet.

And while we dislike his use of "gay" as an apparent synonym for "lame," there is something to be said about this honest, surprisingly self-aware analysis:

"It's gay. If one more person asks me if I have a Twitter, I'm going to tell them, 'Twitter this [bleep], mother[bleep]er,'" the rocker recently told Rolling Stone.

"I don't have anything to say, and what I have to say is not that relevant. Anything relevant, I'm going to bottle up and squeeze it onto a record somewhere."

We suppose that's for the best. That was more than 140 characters anyway.

Guess that means this guy isn't the real Kid Rock too. We feel so used.

If you've read any Lost spoilers this winter, you know that the sci-fi epic's fifth season calls for plenty of Josh Holloway shirtless. Any complaints?

While plenty is known about Holloway's character Sawyer at this stage of the game, Lost never shies away from new, unexpected twists. We suggest a reunion with his long-separated brother, Lawyer, played by a certain rocker below ...

Okay, so maybe Josh Holloway and Kid Rock weren't exactly switched at birth. But there's a similar look and swagger to the rabble-rousing bad-asses.

Like some of our past look-alikes, sometimes it's more about a vibe you get. If given the choice of these two, we'd prefer Holloway shirtless. The Kid might want to lay off all that Waffle House cuisine and shed a few pounds. Nice bling, though.

We're kidding, obviously. Kid Rock is not running for office, nor did Sarah Palin mention him at any point. But you could make a case for interpreting this gem of a quote, from her interview with conservative pundit Hugh Hewitt, that way.

Asked why her candidacy has triggered some hostility, Sarah Palin said:

"I think they’re just not used to someone coming in from the outside saying you know what? It's time that normal Joe Six-pack American is finally represented in the position of vice presidency. I think that that’s kind of taken some people off guard."

How that's supposed to be a selling point for her candidancy, we can't say. That's a (potentially endless) discussion for another time.

But If the man below is not Joe Six Pack, we don't know who is:

JOE SIX PACK: If John McCain decides to dump Sarah Palin after tonight's Vice Presidential debate, we recommend Kid Rock for the #2 spot on the GOP ticket.

No criminal charges will be filed in connection with the fight between Kid Rock and Tommy Lee at September's MTV Video Music Awards, the Clark County district attorney said.

"It's worth noting that Tommy Lee requested no prosecution relating to the incident, and there were no injuries to either person," said Dan Kulin, a spokesman for the Clark County (Nev.) District Attorney, David Roger.

"The Clark County district attorney's office will not pursue charges against Robert James Ritchie, also known as Kid Rock, involving a confrontation with Tommy Lee on September 9, 2007, at the Palms Hotel and Casino," Roger said in a statement.

Reps for Kid Rock and Lee didn't respond Tuesday to requests for comment. Both are ex-husbands of Pamela Anderson.

Kid Rock, 36, wasn't taken into custody, but was cited for battery after he was accused of slapping and punching the 45-year-old Motley Crue drummer.

Witnesses said that although Kid Rock threw the only blows that landed, Tommy Lee appeared to have started the confrontation, which occurred in the audience.

His problems aren't over, though. Kid Rock also faces a misdemeanor battery charge stemming from an October 21 Waffle House brawl in Atlanta. He and his entourage were cited after a brawl with a male customer broke out at a restaurant.

Hearing that Kid Rock was in a fight at a waffle house is as surprising as learning that Britney Spears upskirt photos have popped up.

Yes, the singer (Rock, not Spears) was arrested in Atlanta in connection with a fight at a waffle house, the city's FOX 5 News is reporting.

Kid Rock (real name Bob Ritchie), 36, who played a sold-out show Saturday night in Atlanta, and five members of his crew were taken into custody by authorities, facing a misdemeanor charge of simple battery.

Police say Kid Rock stopped by a restaurant early Sunday after their show, and a male customer recognized a female in Rock's entourage.

Words were exchanged between the pair, and a fight ensued, the station reports. No word on whether Tommy Lee was the male customer in question.

After police were called, the singer's tour bus was pulled over, and Kid Rock and the members of his entourage were arrested.

In addition to the Kid Rock arrest, the male customer also has been charged with a felony for allegedly smashing a window of the restaurant.

According to FOX News, Kid Rock posted $1,000 bail and was released Sunday evening from DeKalb County jail, signing autographs on his way out.

Hopefully, possible girlfriends Alyssa Lipsky and Krista Ayne were there to comfort him. The guy has had a difficult couple of months.

He may unsuccessfully and frequently attempt to fight Tommy Lee, but Kid Rock is apparently such a catch that two new women are smitten with him.

Penthouse Pet Krista Ayne and model Alyssa Lipsky met the rocker when they posed with him for the cover of the current Rolling Stone magazine.

During the shoot, Rock made sure to get cell numbers and e-mail addresses from both black-lingerie-clad babes, according to the New York Daily News.

Lipsky, a Realtor at Conquest Advisors, got partially cut from the cover (although her breasts remain visible). Ironically, she was axed again Sunday when Rock chose to bring Ayne to the Yankees playoff game instead of her.

Krista Ayne, who used to date Jared Leto and is also pictured in the new issue of Steppin' Out magazine, told publisher Chaunce Hayden that she has a boyfriend but he let her go to the game with Kid Rock.

Alyssa Lipsky then got jealous when a photo of the Penthouse Pet and Kid Rock at the game appeared in the paper, a source told the newspaper.

The blond temptress showed up at Rock's performance at the Fillmore Tuesday night and became even more annoyed when she was blocked from the VIP room by his publicist - for good reason: Krista Ayne was inside.

"Ayne said her goodbyes and went home early," says our source. "She didn't realize Lipsky was outside, pissed."

But Lipsky finally got through the velvet ropes, and before you could say, "Rock's ex Pam Anderson just married sebaceous Rick Salomon - what's that about?" she was on Kid Rock's tour bus, headed to his Detroit mansion.

Ever the gentleman, Rock later paid for Alyssa Lipsky to fly back to N.Y.

Custody (of the kids): Tommy and Pam share custody of theirs 50-50. Thank goodness Kid Rock and Anderson did not procreate.

ALEC BALDWIN vs. KIM BASINGER

He says: Kim is a manipulative liar who dedicates most of her live to making him miserable and not allowing him to see daughter Ireland.
She says: Alec and Saddam Hussein are pretty similar.
Custody (of the kids): Almost all Kim, especially after Alec infamously tore Ireland a new one on that gotta-hear-it-to-believe it voicemail.

Kid Rock claims his beef with Tommy Lee has nothing to do with the fact they've both seen Pamela Anderson nude.

In related news, Heidi Montag claims she hates media attention.

"It's been going on for five years," Rock said of the strained relationship between him and Lee. "I did what any man would do, any man across the country, across the world would do... it kills me just to be associated with, to have my name in a sentence with him, it honestly destroys me."

Then - crazy idea here - maybe you shouldn't have attacked him at the Video Music Awards, Kid.

According to People magazine, the rocker said "Last contact I had with [Lee] was when me and Pam were going through our divorce. He picked up her Blackberry and started e-mailing me a lot of horrendous things. It was extremely disrespectful."

In response, Kid Rock said: "I calmly told him, ... Listen, I will see you again ... and that was the end of it, because I don't talk, you know."

But he does throw down, as the Detroit native talked about the ruckus from last weekend:

"This was unavoidable. I had to do what I had to do because this was a long time coming. You know, I came back from the bathroom and he was sitting right there. It was even more disrespectful after everything he's said, I was like that's enough, that's it."

Well, sure, the guy was sitting. Isn't that the same reason Hayden Panettiere dumped Stephen Colletti?

Meanwhile, on his website, Lee recounts his encounter with Rock at the VMAs as follows:

"here I am minding my own biz [when] I get a tap on the shoulder from Kid Pebble ... i stand up and embrace him with a semi hug and say 'Hey dude ... What up"?? He punches me in the face ... well if ya wanna call it that!? ... more like a bitch slap! ... Wuss!!"

Wow. And we thought the made up 50 Cent/Kanye West feud was intense.

Call it the battle of the boobs. Or for the boobs. Think about it. We're talking about Pamela Anderson and her giant breasts here!

The MTV Video Music Awards prides itself on its unscripted moments, and Sunday's show was no exception: Kid Rock punched Tommy Lee.

During the ceremony.

"Tommy Lee was sitting by Diddy. [Kid Rock] just walked up and decked him," said MTV veejay Sway, who witnessed the event.

It was unclear how the fight started, and there was no immediate word on whether the copes got involved. According to an onlooker in the audience, "They had each other at the necks, they were practically strangling each other."

Another eyewitness saw Tommy Lee escorted out, "screaming the f-word over and over again." He was thrown out in front of thousands of fans.

While the fight was not televised, it was certainly a topic of conversation during the ceremony.

As Jamie Foxx came out to present the Best New Artist award with Jennifer Garner, he joked, "Someone needs to stop all of this white-on-white crime. Tommy Lee and Kid Rock fighting like black folks, it's hilarious."

As the crowd hooted, Jamie Foxx, added, "Who won? I was in the bathroom." And he noted, in jest, "Pamela Anderson has got a hard choice to make."

Anderson, of course, has been married to both rockers, who have feuded in the past. While she most recently divorced Kid Rock - in February - she still maintains a friendship with Lee, with whom she has a sex tape and two sons.

Later in the telecast, Diddy also referenced the spat between the white trash rockers before introducing the final performance:

"I was supposed to be doing this with Kid Rock, but you know, we got to stop the violence," he joked. "It's not just hip-hop artists that fight!"

Britney Spears had no comment. But she was no doubt happy that something took the attention off of her god awful performance.
