Last week marked the 15th anniversary of the release of American Beauty.

The film would go on to gross over $350 million and win five Academy Awards including Best Picture.

Kevin Spacey
Spacey won his second Oscar for American Beauty and remains one of the most esteemed actors in Hollywood. He currently stars in the Netflix series House of Cards.

Beauty was widely considered to be among the best of the '90s, but years since have seen a critical reappraisal of the the film, with the term "overrated" being tossed about a good deal.

Recently, even the film's director Sam Mendes confessed that he considered Beauty to be "over-praised" when it first hit theaters in 1999.

Even so, Beauty has retained an incredible level of cultish adoration and seems poised to be the sort of movie that will find an audience amongst disaffected teens and bored, middle-aged suburbanites for generations to come

The film's cast has experienced its own share of ups and downs, with some actors going on to A-list success, others fading into an obscurity, and at least one achieving a remarkable comeback.

A comedy about three different murder plots might not be the most likely candidate for a sequel, but since Horrible Bosses proved to be an unexpected hit for New Line in 2011, Horrible Bosses 2 is slated to hit theaters in November of this year.

The trailer hit YouTube today and despite being saddled with PG constraints, it's remarkably packed with laughs:

For those who don't recall: Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis turned out to be pretty inept at murder (even with the help of Jamie Foxx's Dean "Motherf--er" Jones), so two of the 3 bosses reprise their roles for Horrible Bosses 2.

This time around, Jennifer Aniston's depraved dentist is kinkier than ever, inviting Jason Bateman to...well, just watch the trailer and see.

Celebrities, the objects of our obsessions, pretty faces for whom we pine, hot bodies of both the male and female variety. But they're more than just the sum of their parts.

They're actually pretty darn smart, too. Well, some of them are.

We could argue that all of them are smart for being able to make a career out of being on television and in movies and getting paid to wear designer clothes.

On the flip side, we have the likes of Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan and Justin Bieber to consider. We're not calling them dumb, but...

Anyway, there are a shocking number of Ivy Leaguers, magna cum laude graduates and members of Mensa in Hollywood. Forget film and TV; they've published papers and earned Ph.Ds.

Here are 31 celebrities who are really, really smart ...

Danica McKellar
Danica McKellar might not have been as good a dancer as the others, but she's better at math than them. She's authored four books advocating math education for girls.

It's never too early to heed the Call of Duty, is it?

Although the next edition in this video game franchise doesn't come out for six months, Activision launched the first official trailer duty for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare today.

The company says this version will be the first Call of Duty game not set in the present, as it will focus on "battlegrounds of the future, where both technology and tactic have evolved."

Oscar winner Jared Leto turned in an impressive performance in Dallas Buyers Club, but this photobomb last night might be even more worthy of acclaim.

Leto, 42, creeped on Ireland Baldwin's selfie with House of Cards star Kevin Spacey and Entertainment Tonight host Nancy O'Dell in hilarious fashion:

Jared Leto Photobomb

The Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman, who won Best Supporting Actor at the 2014 Academy Awards, got a shout-out from Ellen DeGeneres for his pretty face.

That face was not on display here, as he injected himself into Baldwin's photo between Spacey and O'Dell's heads, making the goofiest expression possible.

Pretty incredible timing by Jared, setting the bar high for Jennifer Lawrence to try and top next time around. Which you know she will 'cause she's awesome.

Side note: You may want to lay off the self-tanner, Nancy.

Just a thought. Maybe it's just us. Check out more selfies, videobombs and other memorable moments from the Oscars in the slideshow after the jump!

House of Cards star Kevin Spacey couldn't wheel, deal, con, bribe or finagle his way out of a South Carolina flood, as evidenced by this photo he Tweeted:

The actor found himself up to his ankles in flash flood water on Wentworth Street during a weekend trip to Charleston, S.C., and couldn't resist sharing.

"I had a great time in Charleston, SC. Beautiful summer weather," he tweeted.

Sure enough, downtown Charleston flooded Sunday after heavy rains (a regular occurrence), keeping the city's firefighters and other rescue workers busy.

More than 2 inches of rain fell between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., local time.

Not quite as good as this Kevin Spacey photobomb, but cool pic!

Earlier this week, Kevin Spacey was in Boston, where the acclaimed actor visited a number of Marathon bombing victims and law enforcement officials.

And photobombed a woman while out for a jog. And it was awesome.

It's unclear why the House of Cards star had the urge to interrupt this woman's candid Kodak moment, or why he shouted "Photobomb!" in the process.

Which he supposedly did, before nonchalantly jogging away.

If there were an Oscar for Photobombs, Kevin would win.

It's long been speculated that Kevin Spacey is gay.

But the Oscar-winning actor has never confirmed or denied this rumor, choosing instead to actually keep his private life private. He made that decision again when interviewed this week by Kevin Sessums of The Daily Beast.

"I'm an American citizen and I have not given up my right to privacy," Spacey told Sessums, who is openly gay.

When pressed on the topic by Sessums, who clearly wants the actor to serve as some sort of activist or spokesperson, Spacey grew even more defiant.
