With both celebrity gossip notoriety and ridiculous appearances going for them, it's no surprise that Kate and Jon Gosselin were Halloween staples this year.

A pair of celebrity duos themselves decided to go as the terrible tandem.

On Live with Regis and Kelly, Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa masqueraded as Jon and Kate, complete his and her stacks of $100 bills divided on the table. LOL.

Meanwhile, the gruesome twosome who relinquished their title of Most Painful Reality TV Couple to the Gosselins showed gratitude by dressing up as them.

Spencer and Heidi Pratt also lugged around eight dolls, a funny touch. Let's just hope that Speidi doesn't have eight children of their own someday. Yeesh.

Who makes a better Jon and Kate?

Don't worry, morning talk show fans: Kelly Ripa won't be leaving Live with Regis and Kelly any time soon.

But the thin beauty and husband Marc Consuelos will make a pair of guest-starring performances on the drama on which they met, All My Children, to help celebrate its 40th anniversary.

Best known now for yapping with Regis Philbin each day, Ripa rose to fame as Hayley Vaughan on the soap opera, starring for over a decade until 2002; Consuelos played Mateo Santos for seven years.

The couple will appear on January 4 and 5, marking the first time back in Pine Valley for either one since they each left in 2002.

Ripa said her talk show will air behind-the-scenes footage of her return to All My Children next month. Regis ought to have many wisecracks to offer about that.

Julia Roberts and Kelly Ripa each have three children.

On an edition of Live with Regis and Kelly this week, Regis Philbin said he assumed breastfeeding was time-consuming endeavor.

Never one to miss a moment to discuss her kids, Kelly Ripa agreed:

"It is very time consuming, it really is a labor of love. It depends on the child, too. Because Lola and Michael were great eaters. But Joaquin really took his time and was like 'Mom I think we should see other people.' And he still, like to this day, is a fussy eater."

Hopefully, the innocent Clay Aiken comment uttered by this beauty a few weeks ago is long forgotten.

We know Rosie O'Donnell has moved on to a new feud, for instance.

And it's nice to see Kelly Ripa making nice, as well.

Even if it is to someone as misguided as The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.

If anyone can turn his attitude around, though, it's Regis' bubbly pal.

Maybe she can work on Perez Hilton next.

It all started innocently enough.

Clay Aiken co-hosted Live with Regis and Kelly Friday morning. We assume the American Idol runner-up was simpy playing around when he stuck his hand over the mouth of Kelly Ripa - but Kelly saw nothing funny about the incident.

Our gal responded: "I don't know where that hand has been!"

It was a seemingly innocuous remark, especially coming from the (beautiful) mouth of a mother of three kids during cold and flu season.

Tell that to Rosie O'Donnell, however. Reviewing the incident on The View today, Rosie claimed:

"To me that was a homophobic remark ... If that was a straight man, if that was a cute man, if that was a guy that she didn't question his sexuality, she would have said a different thing. I was very offended by that ... I guarantee, if that was Mario Lopez, she would not have said the same thing."

Such an absurd statement prompted Ripa to call into the show to defend herself, saying she has no fear of gays.

"You have to be more responsible," she told Rosie. "Not everybody is homophobic."

Amen, Kel! We're sure Lindsay Lohan isn't. She'd probably take it from any guy.

The last time we compared celebrity faces, it was an uncomfortable affair. Abbie Cornish and Reese Witherspoon?

No wonder Ryan Phillippe won't return our calls. But our job is to report the truth.

Which is why Kelly Ripa may not be too pleased with this week's selection of look-alikes. Nevertheless, we forge ahead with the remarkable resemblance.

If it's any comfort, Kelly, it's not that you've gotten a myriad of plastic surgery, like Tara Reid has admitted to. It's just that you look like you have. Feel better now?
