Despite the fact that it's been rumored for years and never materialized, several sources are reporting that Britney Spears will soon record a duet with the hunky Justin Timberlake, pop/R&B star and her ex-boyfriend.

Supposedly, the long-awaited Britney-Justin collaboration will appear on Britney’s new album, which is due towards the end of this year.

Again, this is Britney Spears. You have to take these things with a grain of salt. Or a boulder of salt. But we're sure hoping it happens!

Spears and Timberlake, seen here a looong time ago, were the First Couple of pop until she (allegedly) slept with choreographer Wade Robson and got dumped.

First things first - let's get this duet over, done with and climbing the charts. Then we'll work on Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake marrying and starting a huge family - both biologically and adopting, a la Brangelina.

No offense, Jessica Biel. We love you in the sink pic. But you're no match for Britney on the celebrity gossip / entertainment front.

At halftime of the 2004 Super Bowl, Janet Jackson had her nipple exposed by Justin Timberlake. The indecent exposure cost CBS a hefty fine, until that amount was overturned on appeal this week.

This is a picture of Justin Timberlake early on during Game Four of the NBA Finals.

We can't find a photo of the pop star from later in the contest, however, most likely because his face was buried in his hands after the Boston Celtics came back from an 18-point halftime deficit to knock off Kobe Bryant and the Lakers.

We love JT, but as ardent Celtics fans, The Hollywood Gossip staff has two words for him and other court-side celebrities last night: Eat. It.

The Lakers may have lost, but Justin Timberlake does get to see Jessica Biel nude every night.

Trace Ayala - the business partner and BFF of Justin Timberlake - doesn't think his pal and Jessica Biel will get hitched any time soon.

When asked by Us Weekly about wedding bells for this gorgeous couple, Ayala said: "I hope so. To be honest, I don't see them in the future, but I hope so. I really do."

Justin Timberlake may star in The Love Guru, but that doesn't mean he wants to marry Jessica Biel any time soon.

While the newly christened TimberBiel may not be reciting vows in the near future, Trace emphasized how much of a perfect fit they are.

"They are just awesome together. She is just a great girl."

We've seen Jessica Biel nude, Trace. We certainly agree.

Justin Timberlake knows his music, his wooing of beautiful women and his mothering.

When asked how The Love Guru co-star Jessica Alba would be as a new mom, JT didn't hesitate to praise the actress:

"She seems very patient, and I would assume that's what it takes to be a good mother, a good parent for that matter."

Alba husband Cash Warren welcomed daughter Honor Marie Warren into the world on Saturday. And while we're hoping they refer to her by her middle name, Timberlake is a fan of the unusual moniker.

"Honor Marie â€" that's a cool name," he said. "I'm happy for them. It's beautiful."

Timberlake did not comment on the most recent celebrity mother, Tori Spelling.

Justin Timberlake couldn't pass up a few shots at former flame Britney Spears when honoring Madonna at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony Monday.

"The world has always been full of Madonna wannabes," Timberlake said, introducing the Material Girl. "I might have even dated a couple."

The biggest-selling female artist in history, Madonna was formally inducted into Hall of Fame at a dinner at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York.

Justin Timberlake had the honor of recognizing Madonna before she made her own  speech. He made another Britney Spears crack as he concluded ...

"She has still found time to kiss someone I may or may not have publicly kissed myself while I was in the audience," Timberlake said of Madonna.

"Of course, you know, I was talking about Sean Penn."

Justin Timberlake introduced Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Madonna last night.

The 49-year-old pop star strode on stage, thanking Justin Timberlake - and some of the people who had helped her career, as well as her family and fans.

Madonna gave a raucous acceptance speech that included calling the audience "motherf*%$ers" and sharing sordid tales about her life in music.

She gleefully recalled when she met her long-time publicist Liz Rosenberg. She was "smoking a joint," Madonna said. She also told the crowd she split a tab of ecstasy with a music exec who she gave her first demo tape to.

Madonna then mimicked Michael Jackson in a squeaky voice, describing how she went after and stole Jackson's manager. Naturally.

He's already offered a d!ck in a box as a special Christmas present.

Now Justin Timberlake has another special delivery for movie fans!

Package on full display, Justin shows off his bulge - Speedo style - in the upcoming film The Love Guru, scheduled to be released June 20.

We're guessing this is a comedy...

The Love Guru is about Pitka (Mike Myers), who is an American raised by gurus who returns to the USA in order to break into the self-help business.

His first challenge: To settle romantic troubles and the professional skid of star Toronto Maple Leafs hockey player Darren Roanoke (Romany Malco) whose wife Prudence (Meagan Good) left him for rival skater Jacques Grande (JT).

Yup, that's the premise. Jessica Alba - proving that she's definitely got acting chops in addition to a gorgeous body - and Verne Troyer also star.

It wasn't the greatest American Idol audition of Robbie Carrico's life last night.

The semifinalist performed "One is the Loneliest Number" by Three Dog Night and was told by Simon Cowell that he's "not quite sure yet whether [Robbie is] very comfortable in this rock thing or whether [he's] a pop singer."

Ouch. But it actually got worse, as Ryan Seacrest told Carrico that he may be dressed "like a rocker, but kind of looks like Justin Timberlake!"

A compliment, right? Except that both Carrico and Timberlake both have dated Britney Spears. Awkward alert, folks!

The Super Bowl is renowned for its memorable commercials, as well as halftime music entertainment and maybe even a little pigskin action.

Here's one of the ads you'll see Super Bowl Sunday, entitled "Magnetic Attraction." It's for Pepsi Stuff, and features Justin Timberlake.

Pretty funny. Watch for cameos by Andy Samberg and Tony Romo!

 

Maybe not quite as humorous as Kevin Federline's Super Bowl ad from a year ago, but it's up there. We can't wait to see the rest of this year's commercials.

Speaking of Justin Timberlake, the singer, producer and actor turns 27 today. Happy birthday to one of The Hollywood Gossip's favorite entertainers!
