Jude Law is officially a father for the fourth time.

Samantha Burke is the mother of the child, a daughter named Sophia. No word if Jude even remembers who Samantha is, but she sure is a cutie!

A friend of the family reports that Samantha Burke, 24, an aspiring actress whom Law met while filming Sherlock Holmes, gave birth on Tuesday.

"I doubt Jude was there," says the source close to Burke.

"Besides the financial support, he is not involved."

The source added "Samantha is doing well" after the birth.

Jude Law, 36, who has three other children with ex-wife Sadie Frost, is currently appearing in a Broadway production of Hamlet, now in previews.

Law's rep acknowledged the pregnancy in a statement released in July, following reports surfacing in the media that Samantha Burke was expecting.

It was reported he didn't even remember her.

"Jude Law can confirm that, following a relationship last year, he has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall," his rep said.

"Mr. Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child's life," the statement continued. "This is an entirely private matter and no other statements will be made."

Congratulations to Samantha! And to Jude too ... we think!

A close friend of Samantha Burke gave E! exclusive details of the brief "relationship" between the Sherlock Holmes actor and the aspiring model.

The fairy tale all began in (where else) a club:

"She met him at a club in New York," says the friend. "He was sick, so she kept going to his hotel over the course of a week to take care of him."

Jude! Jude! Pay attention to me! Look at me! In my underwear!

Poor, sick Jude Law didn't remember her after she did everything she could (even after at least one roll in the hay) to nurse him back to health:

"Jude didn't even remember her. [Samantha Burke] hasn't seen him since New York City. They've only been in contact through their lawyers."

What a player. With a revolving door of eager women essentially throwing themselves at him, can Jude be expected to keep them all straight?

One wonders if Jon Gosselin even remembers Kate Major.

This friend thinks Samantha is therefore "crazy" for going through with the pregnancy, so one naturally has to question her financial motivations.

But Sam recently spoke out (via her blog) to deny any gold-digging: "I can't tell you how far from a gold-digger I am. I've never dated a rich ma."

Still, her friend had to point out that Samantha comes from "a very white trashy town" in Pensacola, Fla., and "her family doesn't have any money."

With friends like these, who needs celebrity gossip enemies?

The mother of Jude Law’s fourth child is hitting back at the critics who say she is digging for gold, steadfastly declaring: "I'm no gold-digger."

Samantha Burke, who is seven months pregnant with a girl after dating Jude while he was filming in NYC this year, says she wants no cash.

Burke, 24, recently wrote on her blog: "I can't tell you how far from a gold-digger I am. I've never dated a rich man in my life. I've always wondered how girl friends of mine could even ask their boyfriends to buy them clothes.”

She's no Heather Mills, in other words.

Samantha’s blog was in response to reports claiming she will demand $10,000 a month in child support from the actor once the child is born.

Jude Law has vowed to stand by Samantha Burke after the birth.

Whatever relationship they had appears to have been very brief, and is believed to have taken place when the actor was filming Sherlock Holmes in New York.

In any case, Law says he is accepting responsibility for the child and plans on being a supportive dad once the former Hooters girl gives birth this fall.

Sam’s spokesperson has echoed that positive sentiment. He previously said: "Jude Law has been responsive and supportive through the relationship and pregnancy and Jude will remain so as a father once baby Sophia is born."

Samantha Burke, the woman pregnant with Jude Law's love child, is trying to downplay her mother's recent remark that the actor "didn't want" the baby.

Lea Burke, was quoted in a London paper as saying the actor "didn't want the baby" and that Samantha was "terrified" to reveal she was knocked up by Jude Law.

The London Evening Standard quoted Lea: "It would be nice if the father was around, but that's not going to happen because of his job and Samantha knows that."

But in a press conference outside Lea's Pensacola, Fla., home, Samantha and her lawyers made it clear that the dad-to-be has responded positively to the pregnancy.

Samantha Burke is carrying Jude Law's love child.

"Samantha and her mother would like to be clear that comments attributed to her and media stories reported in the last 24 hours regarding Jude's contact with Samantha, along with his involvement, were taken out of context," her lawyer said.

"Jude has been responsive and supportive throughout the relationship and pregnancy and know that he will remain so as a father once baby Sophia is born."

He added: "Jude and Samantha remain committed to the health and well-being of this child and appreciate your honoring her privacy during this special time."

Before returning inside the house, Samantha Burke echoed his request: "I really would appreciate if everyone could respect my privacy. It's a hard time."

Now that Jude Law has announced that he is going to become a father for the fourth time, and the name of the mother-to-be, Samantha Burke, has been revealed, the 24-year-old model's lawyers say she will be having a girl named Sophia.

"Samantha Burke, her mom, and her family can affirm that Jude has been responsive and supportive throughout the relationship and pregnancy, and know that he will remain so as a father once Baby Sophia is born," says the statement.

"Jude and Samantha remain committed to the health and well-being of this child, and appreciate your honoring her privacy during this special time."

Lawyers for Burke, who met Jude Law when he was filming Sherlock Holmes in New York City last year, confirm she won't be granting any interviews:

"This remains a private matter between Jude Law and Samantha Burke."

Meanwhile, reports say Jude's baby mama is happy to raise the child without the actor around, but, then again, it’s not like he was ever there in the first place.

While Samantha’s lawyers claim she and Jude “had a relationship,” a source close to the 24-year-old says it was really more like, “just a couple of meetings.”

According to the mole, the divorced actor - who already has three children - picked her up while she was an aspiring actress working as a waitress in NYC.

Before Burke was identified as the mother of Law's child, he was falsely rumored to have knocked up Kayleen McAdams, sister of actress Rachel McAdams.

Contrary to reports that he knocked up other people, aspiring actress and model Samantha Burke, 24, is the mother of Jude Law's fourth child, her lawyer says.

Sorry, Kayleen McAdams. Or congratulations?

"Samantha Burke can confirm that she did in fact have a relationship with Mr. Law and that she has informed Mr. Law that she is expecting his child later this fall," Burke's attorney, who is not identified, said in a statement to TMZ.

"Since informing Mr. Law of the pregnancy, he has been nothing but responsive and supportive of Ms. Burke and the pregnancy."

A Florida friend of Burke, who is based in Florida, reports that the model told her she was "pregnant from Jude Law." Law's rep declined comment.

On Wednesday, the actor, who has three children with ex-wife Sadie Frost, announced he was expecting a fourth child with an unidentified ex-lover.

It's the latest round of scandalous activity for the star, who was also engaged to Sienna Miller before he was caught doing his children's nanny.

Jude Law will appear in Hamlet on Broadway in October, and will star with Robert Downey Jr. in the film Sherlock Holmes opening on Christmas Day.
