The Real Housewives of New York City Recap: Following Pecking Orders

Jill Zarin is back and thank goodness. I have to admit, I actually missed her.

She says her time away gave her a chance to reevaluate her priorities and she plans to stay out of the gossip and the drama. Right. That lasts all of five minutes.

I almost can't blame Jill for that though. These ladies breathe drama and they can't open their mouths without gossiping.

Jill Zarin Returns

Ramona not joining the group for lunch makes her the instant topic of conversation. Kelly laments having to confront Ramona about her threatening text message.

The drunken text wasn't nice but I wouldn't call it threatening. As Sonja put it, "a threat is a horsehead in your bed."

But the group decides that Kelly needs some help and Sonja role-plays giving the funniest most spot on Ramona impression to date. How much time do these ladies spend together anyway?

Since Luann calls Ramona a "nasty little fighter" Kelly brings Sonja along for backup.

The Real Housewives of New York City Recap: March Madness For Wackadoos!

It's all about ME.

That's the theme as Sonja takes center stage. So, the Marriage Equality of New York (MENY) march asks Sonja to be the Grand Marshall? Is she really that big of a draw?

I mean I know I'm not their target audience but still, Sonja's a gay icon?

Oh, and in case you missed it, it's Sonja Morgan's special day.

Alex Glares at Sonja

It's a scary, scary world when Kelly Bensimon is the voice of reason.

The ladies (and Simon) make fools of themselves. The wedding gowns look ridiculous as Luann's keeps popping open, Sonja wears a toga inspired number (perhaps this was her goddess impression) and Alex looks absurd as she bickers with everyone in her veil.

How could Sonja not let Simon speak? It's about gay marriage. Poor Simon wore his sequin rainbow tux. He took the jacket out of the closet. He'd like his opportunity now. "I like my men," says Simon. Yes, Simon. We never really questioned it.

The Real Housewives of NYC Season Premiere Recap: The Glitz, Glamor and Snark Return!

The Real Housewives of New York City are back and time away has done nothing to heal old wounds. Perhaps if these ladies retracted their claws, it might slow the bloodshed. But then again, what fun would that be?

Bethenny Frankel has jumped ship to start her own reality series but Jill Zarin is still smarting from the loss of the friendship.

In true Jill fashion, she lays all of the blame at Bethenny's door, stating that her former friend is just one of the those women who no longer has a need for her girlfriends as soon as she finds a husband.

Ah, Jill. Nice way to take your share of the responsibility for the breakup.

Jill Zarin Cries

Jill's losing friends fast. Alex and Jill just can't stay away from one another and Ramona keeps fueling that fire. Seems that Jill's good friend is enjoying throwing arch nemesis Alex in her path every chance she gets.

The new and improved Alex says her goal is to voice her opinions but it looks more like she's gunning for a fight. There's speaking your mind and then there's just being bitchy. I'm not sure Alex knows the difference yet.

Speaking of bitchy, Alex's little scene with Jill at the wedding certainly showed her spiteful side. Although Jill's explanation about being on an "honorary committee" sounded patently absurd.

Apparently it's a committee for people who care enough to lend their name but not quite enough to actually show up for the event.

Random BFF Alert: Lynne Spears and Jill Zarin!

Buddy-buddy and battling for the title of world's most narcissistic mom, Lynne Spears was spotted this week having a girls' night out with none other than Jill Zarin.

The mother of Jamie Lynn and Britney Spears was seen having dinner with the Real Housewives of NYC star at Kenmare in lower Manhattan having a long discussion.

Jill says: "We talked about Mother's Day, what we got, about New Orleans, about traveling. Her kids are doing great. Her grandkids are her life. She looks amazing."

"She's in amazing shape; she works out. She was really happy."

Jill Zarin and Daughter

This wasn't their first meeting though, as Jill Zarin explains:

"I met Lynne a few years ago backstage with [my daughter] Ali at Britney's concert at the Meadowlands [in New Jersey], we just connected and we kept in touch."

"When [Lynne Spears] comes to town we try to meet and catch up. She called me a couple of months ago and said she was coming to New York. It is [surprising]."

"I'm a Jewish girl from Long Island, and she's from Louisiana, so you couldn't get more apples and oranges. But we're moms who love our kids and who would do anything to protect them. And Ali and Jamie Lynn are around the same age."

Let's just hope Ali doesn't get knocked up at 16 too.

Bethenny Frankel vs. Jill Zarin: Coming to The Real Housewives of New York City

You won't believe this, but a lot of drama is coming to The Real Housewives of New York City.

When the third season of the Bravo hit premieres on March 4, it will center on a feud between Jill Zarin and Bethenny Frankel.

"This is the angriest season yet," Zarin shared with Life & Style. "There's a lot of hurt, a lot of pain."

Bethenny

What are those feelings based on? Sources say that Jill is pissed with Bethenny because the script calls for it she wasn't there for Jill when the latter's husband, Bobby, was diagnosed with cancer over the summer.

"It was a difficult time for me and my family, and the loss of Bethenny's friendship tore me apart," Jill confirmed.

Frankel agrees that the season ahead is "brutal," but "I don't have any hard feelings about anybody. She adds:

"I'm too happy. I have too much to be happy about to worry about what's going on with other people."

That's the selfless attitude we love! Good luck with it, Jason Hoppy.

Jon Gosselin Dines with Michael Lohan, Jill Zarin and Kate Major in the Hamptons

No word on whether they were trying to set a record for most douchebags at a single dinner table, but Jon Gosselin met up with Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael Lohan, in Southampton Wednesday night. Yes, we are quite serious.

With Jon were Kate Major, the celebrity gossip reporter (for Star) who he was seen having dinner with earlier this week, and Real Housewives star Jill Zarin.

Obviously.

"Jon is a friend, he's a great guy, he needed a place to get away to, and my doors were open to him and Kate Major," said Michael Lohan, who's apparently doing better after threatening to kill his fiancee and himself in May.

"Jon and Kate [Major] are good friends of mine. She's with him [at Lohan's house]. Kate's like a daughter to me. When she needs a place my doors are open."

"Jon is a really nice guy. All he does is to talk about his kids," Lohan says, adding that Kate Major "only has his best interests at heart."

We definitely did not see this bromance coming.

The strange foursome reportedly met the mayor of Southampton, N.Y., for dinner. Gosselin and Major have been in Southampton together for three days now.

Is there something romantic going on there?

Gosselin and Major were first spotted together at NYC eatery Accademia di Vino over this past weekend. Some say she "was flirting shamelessly with Jon" at the Italian restaurant, but they are believed to be just friends. We think.

Jon has been dating 22-year-old stoner family friend Hailey Glassman since splitting with wife Kate Gosselin earlier this year. Maybe you heard about that.
