What a freak. But here we're focused solely on 2008 and some of the best (and worst) unnecessary surgeries performed on stars in the past 12 months.

The Philadelphia Eagles advanced to the NFC Playoffs yesterday, sending the Dallas Cowboys home in humiliating fashion following a 44-6 victory.

While the win served as sweet revenge for Donovan McNabb over former teammate Terrell Owens, it also featured another setback in the comeback attempt of Jessica Simpson.

The attention-hungry singer was denied a chance to root on boyfriend Tony Romo in the post-season, as cheers could be heard around the nation from Fox cameramen tired of focusing on the dunce in the pink jersey.

On the opposite end of the large-breasted spectrum, Kendra Wilkinson is likely purchasing cold-weather clothing this morning. She and fiance Hank Baskett will be headed to Minnesota next week, as Baskett's Eagles takes on the Vikings.

Hank wasn't much of a factor in yesterday's game, but he did have the same number of receptions as Romo had touchdown passes: zero.

Long, soft waves highlight the hairstyles of many celebrities these days.

Take "singer" Jessica Simpson, for example, showcasing her long hue at the launch of her fragrance, Fancy, at Macy's in Chicago. Or Jennifer Lopez, whose gorgeous hair looked similar, albeit in a different hue, at a recent movie premiere.

Despite possessing an IQ only slightly higher than that of an eggplant, the great Jessica Simpson says she wants to attend college to study theology.

Watching TV was her inspiration, natch.

If she ever does enroll in some sort of college, Jessica Simpson should definitely wear outfits like these to classes. That's how you get an A+, girl. It's foolproof.

Alleged singer and actress Jessica Simpson totally could not be happier about her sister Ashleeeeeee's new baby with husband Pete Wetz, Bronx Mowgli.

"Bronx is beyond precious," the 28-year-old older sister and new aunt said in a statement. "I'm over the moon with joy. Life is a beautiful miracle."

Bronx Mowgli Wentz - whose vitals are 7 pounds, 11 ounces, 20.5 inches long, and 9.5 on the Stupid Celebrity Baby Name Meter - was born Thursday night.

"Proud new parents Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz welcomed new son, Bronx Mowgli Wentz, late this evening," a rep for the couple first announced on Friday morning. "[They] thank everyone for all of their well wishes!"

November is a big month for celebrity divorces.

In 2005, Jessica Simpson split with Nick Lachey, who she (supposedly) gave her v-card to and starred on a reality show called Newlyweds with. Anyone remember that?

Gosh, it was so long ago. Turned out to be Jessica's worst career move, as she can't buy a successful project now, and went on to date the biggest douchebag in music.

Nick, meanwhile, had a hit album and started hittin' Vanessa Minnillo.

November was also the month in 2006 when Britney Spears filed for divorce from that loser K-Fed, a union we all thought was super hot and destined to last forever.

Just kidding. No one thought that.

The breakup of Britney and Kevin is perhaps most notable for the fact that the girl went absolutely bonkers for a year or so afterward, shaving her head, parading around like a cheap ho in no underwear and getting hospitalized involuntarily. Twice.

Jessica Simpson says her pregnant sister Ashlee Simpson, who is due to give birth any day now, is trying to everything to make that baby come out.

"Different foot massages and stuff," Jessica said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (airing Wednesday). "She's jumping around trying everything right now."

Ashlee will likely induce labor, but Jess won't say if it's a boy or girl.

"I can't say because they haven't said," Jessica Simpson said. "I'll stick my foot in my mouth and get in trouble and I won't be a good aunt."

Jessica also told DeGeneres that she's in love with beau Tony Romo.

"He is a good guy, and he's really just helped me along in life and taught me a lot about being comfortable being myself - which is important," she said.

To be the Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback, the alleged singer continued speaking, "there's a requirement. Like, you have to be good looking. Being out there and demanding and commanding that field - that's pretty sexy."

Losing the playoffs? Not so much.

Publicity is inevitable when you're famous, but certain celebrities dress down or try to avoid garnering attention from the celeb gossip media when possible.

Jessica Simpson, on the other hand, can't get enough of it.

And who can blame her, really. She can't sing or act, nor is she ready to crank out a cash-generating kid like little sister Ashlee. So the next logical step is to milk her relationship with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo for whatever it's worth.

Many cheesy pics and Cowboys playoff losses are sure to follow.
