Having mercifully wrapped her concert tour, alleged country singer Jessica Simpson took the time to enjoy the sweet smell of success at a launch for her fragrance, "Fancy," at a Dillard's department store in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Saturday.

They should call it "Smells Like No Talent." Ohhh, snap.

Britney Spears isn't the only singer skanking it up on a Florida stage.

Granted, Britney was grinding a pole and writhing around in full stripper attire, whereas Jessica Simpson is merely wearing daisy dukes. So it probably isn't fair to call the latter skanky. Still, sex sells bad music. Just saying.

Jessica Simpson squeezed her supposedly ballooning frame into short shorts and a tight top while performing at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Florida.

Simpson's outfit looked just like what she sported in The Dukes of Hazzard, and for some fans, the pose below was probably too much excitement to contain ...

Her weight has been a talking point since she was photographed performing in a pair of unflattering mom jeans in Florida earlier this year. But the Jessica Simpson pictures we have seen lately certainly don't make her look fat.

Is Jessica Simpson channeling her inner John Elway?

What we mean by that is that Jessica was in Denver for a concert, and Elway used to be the quarterback of the Denver Broncos, who used to wear heinous orange jerseys ... sorry for the confusion, and for the joke, which wasn't even good.

One thing appears certain: the embattled, talentless singer has apparently been dressing herself in the dark (and using spray-on tanning products).

This is hardly her first fashion disaster. We all remember the mom jeans debacle that led to the alleged fat pics, and WTF was that skort thing?

Somebody get Ken Paves on the phone ASAP ...

Looking remarkably skinny but still unable to carry a tune, Jessica Simpson continued her country music tour in Salt Lake City, Utah, Thursday night.

Fortunately for the star, she's feeling upbeat.

"I'm so lucky to be here," the 28-year-old told fans, adding that prayer had helped her sustain her confidence after she faced criticism for apparently packing on the pounds... which may have just been an illusion caused by mom jeans.

She also gushed about her beau, Tony Romo.

"The thing that makes us lucky is being in love...I did find that unexpected kind of love," Simpson said, explaining that she developed a crush on Romo after her pimp Joe decided it would be a good fit for her watching him on ESPN.

No comment on whether Tony Romo railed some chick in her bed while she was on the road for one of these horrible concerts, as has been rumored.

The 45-minute set, at the EnergySolutions Arena, included hits "With You" and "Come on Over," which Jessica Simpson forgot the words to - again.

"I always do that right there," she said while laughing. "Sorry!"

What a hack. Simpson also spoke about a "complete butthead" ex - but declined to name names - before breaking into her song, "Remember That."

Our guess? John Mayer. We would have chosen the word douchebag, however.

Boy oh boy, for a girl as enormous as she is, Jessica Simpson actually looks pretty darn good in the photo below! Must be a bad camera angle or something.

Just kidding. Those fat Jessica Simpson pics people were going nuts over were mostly due to her heinous outfit. Her body has always been natural and hot!

On the right, Jessica is seen in a sexy pink skirt in New York City. Amanda Bynes rocked the same one recently - a Herve Leger mini - at an event in NYC.

We're not accusing Jessica Simpson of staging the fat pictures that got her such harsh criticism - and a hell of a lot of attention - in recent weeks.

If nothing else, though, the alleged singer's pimp is doing all he can to cash in on them, embracing the "any publicity is good publicity" mantra.

After enduring scrutiny for her weight gain, the star has announced she is designing a new clothing line - one intended for women of all shapes and sizes.

"I want to create clothes that flatter every figure," Simpson told In Style's March issue. "I know how a dress can make you feel frumpy. I promise mine won't."

With the range in styles this new celebrity fashion line provides, the 28-year-old hopes every woman will be able to find something to her liking.

"I know what flatters a woman, and trust me, I've been judged a lot in my life. By now I know what works if your body is curvy," she said.

No word on whether the skort will make an appearance.

"If my clothing and accessories make you feel great and let you walk proud and tall - in big, big platform shoes - then I'm happy."

The as-yet-untitled fashion collection is only the latest venture for the mogul known as Jessica Simpson, who's also launched a successful shoe line, perfume line, underwear line, and sold a lot of records for some reason.

Jessica Simpson's concert tour rolled into Madison Square Garden last night, and for the alleged country singer, well, there was both good news and bad.

She remembered all her song lyrics, made no desperate dedications to Tony Romo and didn't cry a single time - no Grand Rapids meltdown reloaded.

But on the celebrity fashion front, a meltdown would put it mildly.

While her outfit represents an improvement from the mom jeans that sparked the infamous weight gain rumors, her "skort" was a disaster in itself:

Jessica Simpson explained it this way: "I've had times when my pants split right down the middle when I bent down to reach a note. That's why I'm wearing a skort - it's not a skirt, not a short - just so they wouldn't split."

Well, there you have it. R.I.P., short shorts. Hello, skort.

After an unflattering series of pictures of her singing live caused a whirlwind of buzz about her somewhat fuller figure, then she struggled during her set on February 5, forgetting lyrics and appearing nervous, Jessica Simpson is stressed out.

But whatever happened to her that night, Jessica has a plan to bounce back, with the help of boyfriend Tony Romo - or so claims celeb gossip magazine OK!

A night after the Grand Rapids meltdown, the NFL quarterback was on hand to support Jessica in Champaign, Ill., - and she dedicated “You’re My Sunday,” to him.

Despite her insecurities and the widespread media scrutiny of Jessica’s body, Tony Romo - who was rumored to have banged some chick in her bed recently - has been unstintingly supportive of his diminutive sweetheart.

“She’s gone up a size in jeans, and Tony could care less,” a friend tells OK!. “He isn’t interested in some idiot Hollywood bimbo with an eating disorder."

After Jessica Simpson makes it through the stress of the tour, which ends March 14, close friends say the extra weight should disappear too.

"She eats her feelings - it’s hard having people criticizing your every move and ridiculing you on celebrity gossip blogs,” one pal tells OK!. "Once Jessica stops touring, she’ll calm her nerves and the weight will hopefully fall off.”

In addition, Jess is determined to cut back on her favorite finger foods like chips and guacamole and fall back into a regular fitness routine.

"She’d much rather gossip with her girlfriends than hit the treadmill, so I know she needs to get a workout buddy to run with her," her friend reveals.

Those fat Jessica Simpson pictures are so last week.

Before Chris Brown threatened to kill Rihanna, the ballooning country star was all the celebrity gossip world talked about. Rest assured, fans, The Hollywood Gossip hasn't neglected this critical, wildly overhyped story.

Jessica Simpson made her first live TV appearance since her much-scrutinized weight gain, performing her song "Pray Out Loud" on CBS' The Early Show Wednesday.

Simpson - who taped her spot in Nashville, Tenn., where she announced nominations for the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards - didn't directly address what has become a firestorm of criticism over her new curvy body...

However, she was happy after anchor Maggie Rodriguez mentioned all the support the singer has received from fans and called her absolutely beautiful.

"Honestly, I am right where I'm supposed to be. I am so happy. Right now I'm on tour with Rascal Flatts, having a blast. We're at Madison Square Garden tomorrow. So far everybody's been warm and welcoming. Lots of hugs, I like that ... Texas style."

The 28-year-old alleged singer added: "Everything's really great. It's all about keeping the faith. That's why I pray out loud."

Who still wears short shorts? Jessica Simpson.

Who still can't carry a tune? Jessica Simpson. But at least she seemed in much better spirits than during her meltdown in Michigan on Thursday night.

Despite lingering scrutiny over Jessica's weight, the alleged country star busted out her daisy dukes - which she famously flaunted in 2005 while promoting The Dukes of Hazzard - for her concert at The Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin, on Friday:

Jessica Simpson shows the haters where the exit is.

"Jessica had an off night," her rep said of the Grand Rapids meltdown, but she bounced back strong. "She's a perfectionist and wanted to start some songs over."

"She always wants to give the best performance for her fans."
