Jerry Seinfeld Bails on Charity Event; Donald Trump Goes OFF on Comedian
Donald Trump is not a big fan of Jerry Seinfeld after the comedian reportedly pulled out from an event appearance for the Donald's son's charity.
Seinfeld was scheduled to attend a September 13 event for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Eric Trump Foundation, but he canceled.
According to reports, Jerry bailed based on Trump's remarks about President Obama, which didn't sit well with The Donald for a variety of reasons.
"I just learned you canceled a show for my son's charity," Donald Trump wrote to Seinfeld in an open letter, accusing him of backing out simply:
"Because of the fact that I am being very aggressive with respect to President Obama, who is doing an absolutely terrible job as our leader."
Trump, who is considering a 2012 presidential run, didn't stop there.
"We don't care that you broke your commitment," he continued, "Even though the children of St. Jude are very disappointed, and despite the fact that your manager previously and clearly stated you are 'truly a man of his word.'"
Trump then took a shot at Seinfeld's NBC show, The Marriage Ref.
Jerry Seinfeld: Lady Gaga is a Jerk and I Hate Her
“This woman is a jerk. I hate her." - Jerry Seinfeld on Lady Gaga
While the comedian was (partially) joking in an interview with New York's WFAN radio, he's definitely not gaga over the singer's recent baseball game antics.
"I can’t believe that they put her in my box, which I paid for," Seinfeld said, referring to Lady Gaga's bizarre, profanity-laced meltdown June 10 at Citi Field.
Gaga showed up during the fifth inning of the day game between the Mets and Padres and was furious that her front-row seats were close to photographers.
Instead of sitting, she vanished into a lower-deck concourse, only to reappear in a little bit later in the empty luxury box owned by Seinfeld, a big Mets fan.
"You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we’re living in now?" he said. "How old is the finger? How’d it even get to be the finger?"
Oh, and what is the DEAL with wearing a bra as a top?
"She is talented," said Seinfeld. "I don’t know why she’s doing this stuff. I don't know what these young people think or how they promote their careers."
He then expounded on her antics: "I'm not one of these all-publicity-is-good people. People talk about you need exposure - you could die of exposure."
Well, there's one person who won't be buying Gaga's new album.
When the WFAN host pointed out to Seinfeld that Gaga was at the rival Yankees' game on Friday, Seinfeld said, "Oh please, wake me when it's over."
"So you've had enough of her?" Steve Somers asked Jerry.
"Yeah," Seinfeld said. "I wish her the best," but then added in one final dig at Lady Gaga, "you take one 'A' off of that and you've got gag."
Not one of the best Seinfeld quotes ever ... but good.
Report: A-Rod, Madonna Rendezvous at Seinfeld Mansion
Their respective spouses now a thing of the past, rumored couple Madonna and Alex Rodriguez took a little trip to Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld's waterfront mansion in the Hamptons last week, according to a report in The New York Post.
A helicopter carrying A-Rod was spotted landing in East Hampton, where he was picked up in a white Porsche 911 matching the description of Jessica's car.
Less than 40 minutes later, another chopper carrying Madonna took off from NYC's Chelsea Piers and landed at the same airstrip, the newspaper reports.
"A dark SUV and Jerry in another Porsche both pulled up and picked up Madonna, and they headed back to Jerry's place," a witness told The Post.

"When they arrived at the Seinfeld home, Madonna poked her head out the window and could be clearly seen ... the visit lasted a few hours."
Is it odd Madonna and A-Rod chilled with Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld? Not really.
"The Seinfelds have been friends with Madonna for years. They're neighbors on the West Side, so it's really no surprise," an insider tells the paper. "And Jerry and Jessica Seinfield go to her concerts whenever she's in town."
Let the double-dating fun begin!
