There are worse things in the world than being known as Mrs. Channing Tatum.

But Jenna Dewan will have a chance to establish her own identity this fall, as she guest stars on one of the most eagerly-anticipated shows of the new television season.

The actress has been cast on Melrose Place. Her character will be a movie studio executive that crushes on Jonah, played by Michael Rady.

Professionally, Dewan is best known for her role in Step Up. She also, aptly, appeared in The Hot Chick.

No matter how she fares on Melrose Place, Jenna won't be the worst actress on set. Ashlee Simpson-Wentz appears regularly on the series.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan tied the knot yesterday in Malibu, Calif.

The two stars said "I do" in a 15-minute ceremony on the grounds of Church Estates Vineyards, the same venue where Fergie and Josh Duhamel wed.

More than 200 guests attended the nuptials. A source tells Us Dewan's maid of honor was Entourage star Emmanuelle Chriqui. Also in the bridal party? Tatum's sister Paige and Haylie Duff, accompanied by the groom's pal Nick Zano.

The bridesmaids all wore light pink dresses.

Beneath a white altar covered in roses, Jenna Dewan wore a white strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline and a long veil. Tatum wore your basic black suit.

When it was time for their first kiss as husband and wife, the G.I. Joe star bent Dewan back and kissed her over his knee to cheers from the approving crowd.

Jenna Dewan, 28, and Channing Tatum, 29, met on the set of their 2006 flick, Step Up. They got engaged last September. Congrats to the newlyweds!

Jenna Dewan couldn't be more excited to be engaged.

Then again, have you seen her fiance? We're shocked this actress took her mouth off Channing Tatum long enough to share such feelings.

"I'm just so freaking happy," Dewan said to People Magazine. "It's great."

Jenna Dewan is engaged to Channing Tatum. We'd say each side made out well in this arrangement.

As for the actual wedding, Dewan says she and Tatum aren't in a rush to pick up a band or flowers just yet.

"I need to enjoy being engaged. With our schedules, it's so hard."

But hunky actor Channing Tatum is engaged to girlfriend Jenna Dewan.

Over the weekend, Tatum reportedly asked her for Dewan's hand in marriage in Maui in front of close friends invited under the radar to surprise Dewan. The pair met on the set of 2006's Step Up, while Tatum will star in the anticipated G.I. Joe movie in 2009.

Channing Tatum proposed to Jenna Dewan over the weekend. Obviously, she said yes.
