Britney Spears Fires Back at Sam Lutfi Lawsuit

The Britney Spears conservatorship - since she can't file anything herself of course - has filed a response to ex-leech Sam Lutfi's lawsuit against her.

In a four-page document filed last week, Brit's camp, headed by her dad Jamie Spears and an aptly-named lawyer, Andrew Wallet, shoots down Lutfi's claims.

One by one, they put the bag of ass in his place, starting with Lutfi's top beef - that he is supposedly owed some serious cash for being Britney's manager.

But in court documents, Britney's handlers claim the oral contract between them is void because Sam "made false promises" in order to get her to agree to it.

Sam Lutfi: The Return!

Lutfi's days at the helm of Britney's career are thankfully over.

That wouldn't surprise us one bit. Also, Jamie Spears, Britney's dad, has already filed a response to the claims of assault filed against him by Sam Lutfi.

The Evil One's attorney remained confident he would prevail.

"I was hardly shocked that they didn't agree with our position," Bryan Freedman told E! News. "But I think there is ample evidence of this contract. There are writings that indicate the same. At the end of the day there won't be much dispute about this."

Brit's camp wants Lutfi to pay its legal fees as well. Stay tuned.

Britney Spears and Sons: At Play in the Bahamas!

Earlier this week, Britney Spears bikini pics, adorable shots of Jayden and Sean and rumors that the star is dating her agent Jason Trawick surfaced online.

Well, we still can't state with any certainty whether she and Trawick are a romantic item, but we sure can tell you this: she and the kids had a freakin' blast!

On her official site, Britney writes that she has been "enjoying a wonderful vacation at the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas with her family and friends."

Here's a photo to prove it!

Britney Spears Fan Site Ready to Fight Conservatorship

Whoever imagined Jordan Miller, who started a Britney Spears fan site while a high school sophomore in 2004, would one day receive half a million visits a day?

Whoever imagined Miller, now a typical college student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, would be threatened with legal action by her dad, Jamie Spears?

Miller's world was turned upside-down last fall after he received an angry phone call from the pop star's father-guardian, accusing him of copyright violations.

"I'm working my ass off to report on this girl," Miller said.

In February 2008, after Britney Spears was forced into a treatment program for bipolar disorder, Jamie Spears was awarded conservatorship, giving him the authority to make legal, financial and medical decisions on behalf of his daughter.

Miller posted several blogs begging for Britney to be "freed."

Baby-Faced BritneyJamie Lynn Spears: The Rumors Are True

One fan site creator's opinions on Britney and posting of stories about Jamie Lynn Spears apparently have not gone over well with the stars' father and chief handler.

He also posted about a magazine story that suggested Britney's younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, was expecting her second child. Then his cell phone rang.

Miller said Jamie Spears told him, "I am going to destroy your ass."

"I was really freaking out for a good three or four weeks," Miller said. "Lately, I've been doing my own thing. I just kind of want to keep it going."

Each day, Miller scans the Internet for stories about Britney Spears, posts them on his site, BreatheHeavy.com, and adds his own comments. He encourages her fans to send him Circus tour photos or updates regarding her.

Miller said the site keeps him busy, but it is not as demanding now as it was when the troubled, out-of-control singer was shaving her head, bashing vehicles with an umbrella, being photographed without no underwear, and so on.

Adnan Ghalib, Sam Lutfi Face Further Legal Woes

While Britney Spears is busy getting accosted by drunk fans on her Circus tour, a couple of her former clowns are starring in their own shows in L.A.

Spears' ex-manager Sam Lutfi and former boyfriend Adnan Ghalib appeared in separate hearings yesterday. Both shady hangers-on have already been banned from further contact with their former meal ticket through at least 2012.

Now the courts are sorting through the legal fallout.

Sam Lutfi fared considerably better than Adnan Ghalib, as a Superior Court judge set a trial date of March 8, 2010, for the former manager's lawsuit claiming defamation and unpaid fees against Spears and her parents, Jamie and Lynne.

Lawyers for both Lutfi and Jamie and Lynne Spears say they will spend the next 10 months attempting to resolve the case outside of court.

But in case that doesn't work out, they have a game plan. An attorney for Jamie Spears said that a countersuit may be filed against Lutfi.

Lynne Spears' attorney, meanwhile, said that he will likely seek to dismiss the portion of Sam Lutfi's lawsuit that's directed against her.

The grounds for that claim? That his allegation of defamation based on her new memoir, Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, is actually an infringement on Lynne Spears' right to free speech.

Particularly, her right to freely criticize whomever she chooses, especially when they play as large a part as Lutfi appeared to in the downfall of her daughter.

The trial date comes just days after Lutfi filed an appeal against a judge's extension of the restraining order obtained against him by the Spears family.

Sam Lutfi Hit with Three-Year Restraining Order

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aviva Bobb issued a three-year restraining order against Britney Spears' former manager, Sam Lutfi, on Tuesday.

Jon Eardley, a lawyer who has repeatedly challenged the validity of Jamie Spears' legal control over Britney, was also slapped with the same ban.

Both individuals must stay at least 100 yards away from Britney, her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston, and her family members' homes, and must not harass with Britney and/or her children, or contact them via phone, mail and email.

It also prohibits them from "acting on Ms. Spears's behalf or purporting to act on her behalf." The orders, however, do not specifically protect Jamie and Britney's mother, Lynne Spears, which Jamie had also sought to ensure.

The singer's father, who initially filed the request on January 30, alleged that both men have harassed his daughter, adding that Sam Lutfi arranged the smuggling of a cell phone to the troubled pop star recently at a hotel.

Just a F%$king Scumbag

SAYONARA: Sam Lutfi's attorney, Bryan Freedman, said he will appeal.

"We absolutely will appeal this ruling," he said." Never before has a restraining order been issued against someone who answered another person's cries for help."

The order followed several hearings in which Spears' father, hairstylist, bodyguard, and others testified that the Circus performer was in fear of Sam Lutfi.

In his defense, his younger sister Christina Lutfi testified that it was Britney who hatched the cell phone scheme because she allegedly wanted Lutfi's help.

Rumors have persisted for months that the singer wants to torpedo her father's conservatorship, which has been in place since she went bat$h!t in early 2008.

One report even suggested that Jamie is drugging her. For now, at least, the court seems firmly on the side of her father and his legal conservatorship.

Lutfi's unrelated lawsuit against the Spears family for defamation and battery, as well as for many thousands of dollars in back wages, is still pending.

Sam Lutfi Sort of Dials Down Anti-Britney Rhetoric, Lawsuit

Britney Spears' former manager/sidekick/enabler, Osama "Sam" Lutfi, has filed an amended lawsuit against the pop star, toning down the rhetoric from his original complaint but still making the same basic accusations against Team Brit.

Chief among them:

  1. That her mom, Lynne Spears, slandered him.
  2. That her dad, Jamie Spears, assaulted him.
  3. That she owes him a $h!tload of money.

That about covers it.

Acting on behalf of his daughter's conservatorship, Jamie Spears obtained a temporary restraining order against Lutfi in January to keep him out of her life.

On February 3, Sam Lutfi fired back with a lawsuit that included salacious allegations about her parents manipulating and leeching off Britney Spears.

Britney Spears and Sam Lutfi Pic

That led to Jamie asking the court to toss out seven pages of Sam Lutfi's complaint, claiming the charges were "calculated attempts to exploit the court system" to make public assertions that have "no factual or legal moorings."

No wonder she can rack up $2.7 million a year in legal fees.

In the fine print, Sam alleges: "Every aspect of [Britney's] life and more importantly, her fortune, has been controlled by her parents," and that losing control of their daughter "posed a serious threat to Jamie and Lynne" and their lifestyles.

Such language was nixed from the updated filing last Thursday, according to Lutfi lawyer Bryan Freedman, to "clarify" his client's accusations against the star.

Report: Britney Spears Thinks Dad is Drugging Her

Britney Spears has “convinced herself” that father Jamie Spears is upping her meds to keep her subdued and stay in control of her, according to sources.

“Britney is sure her father is out to get her and that he’s drugging her to turn her into a zombie who won’t fight back,” a source told British magazine Look.

While anonymous sources in unreliable magazines can't be taken at face value, the quotes back up rumors that Brit wants to torpedo the conservatorship.

“Ever since her breakdown last year when she was hospitalized, she’s been on several prescription pills to battle panic attacks. Her doctors have also prescribed anti-anxiety drugs Valium and Ativan to deal with stress and to help her sleep."

“As part of the court-ordered conservatorship, [Jamie Spears] has to make sure Britney takes the correct dosage because she forgets to take them."

"Lately, however, she’s been nodding off randomly in the middle of conversations and is convinced it’s because Jamie’s giving her much too much.”

This may also explain why she has no idea where she is sometimes.

The source adds that Britney Spears' friends, “tell her it’s just because she’s working so hard and performing every night on her Circus tour.”

But the superstar, says the source, thinks there are sinister, ulterior motives and insists her dad is drugging her to keep her under control.

Either way, it's a bad sign that Britney’s paranoia is rearing its head again in any form, as friends and lawyer Jon Eardley have been saying.

"She’s sneakily sending text messages to her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, telling him she needs help because her dad is poisoning her," says the anonymous Britney mole. "She’s becoming desperate to get her dad out of her life.”

For the moment, at least, Jamie remains at the helm as the Circus tour rolls on. Click to enlarge some recent pics from Britney's L.A. show ...

Report: Britney Spears Trying to Torpedo Conservatorship

It’s not exactly breaking news that Britney Spears finds her father Jamie Spears' conservatorship of practically everything in her life a little difficult at times.

In fact, rumors swirled last week that Britney teamed up with Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib to torpedo the conservatorship - even calling a lawyer to do so.

A voicemail left for an attorney and the sworn testimony of Lutfi's sister, Christina, corroborate this, although Jamie remains firmly in control for now.

Today, though, the UK’s Star magazine claims their relationship has gotten so bad, she’s trying to end her Circus tour early and has forced him to take a vacation.

He's considering obliging, too, according to this account: “He’ll give Britney her space for a few weeks, if everything goes smoothly,” the magazine reports.

PROTECTOR-IN-CHIEF: No word on how Jamie feels about Chase Benz.

Claims that Britney has been speaking to lawyers to end Jamie's control have taken a toll on her well-being, people close to her say, and the impact is measurable:

“[Her people] are scared she’s headed for a breakdown. Britney blames this tour for making her feel insecure. She feels none of her performances are good enough.”

You mean a fragile, unstable woman who was taken out of her home by a SWAT team twice and isn't allowed her own cell phone may not be able to handle a world tour bonanza? Shocking. Click to enlarge some Britney and Jamie Spears pics ...

Report: Britney Spears Conspired with Sam Lutfi, Lawyers to End Conservatorship's Reign

A Los Angeles courtroom heard testimony yesterday on whether or not to extend the restraining orders barring her former manager and sidekick Sam Lutfi and other past hangers-on from having contacts with troubled star Britney Spears.

Attorney John Anderson took the stand and told Superior Court Commissioner Aviva K. Bobb that he was asked to represent the pop star in a battle to free her from the conservatorship controlled by her father, Jamie Spears.

"A person who purported to be Sam Lutfi told me that all of Britney Spears' phone rights were cut off," he said, adding that he was also told that the mother of two was under tight control by her father and virtually "in prison."

John Anderson - who may or may not be the recipient of the leaked voicemail circulating this week - testified that he drew up papers to be retained as counsel and in turn received copies back allegedly signed by Britney Spears herself.

He said he was made aware that another court-appointed attorney had already been assigned to Spears, but was told the singer was "not confident" in the other lawyer's abilities and wanted to hire a new representative in the courtroom.

CAGED BRITNEY: Does an imprisoned Britney Spears want to overthrow her dad's reign - and should she be able to, or is it the only thing keeping her life on track?

Anderson did contact the attorneys representing Spears' conservatorship, who dissuaded him from attempting to further pursue working for the star.

Instead, he voluntarily ended his involvement in the Spears legal debacle on January 28, after learning Jamie Spears and the conservatorship were getting restraining orders against Lutfi, former Britney beau Adnan Ghalib and Jon Eardley.

The restraining orders were obtained January 30, after Jamie Spears said in court that he had evidence the trio was trying to deliberately undermine the conservatorship, and he labeled ostensible mastermind Lutfi a "predator."

But yesterday, Sam Lutfi's sister, Christina, testified that she answered her brother's phone one time when Britney was calling to ask Sam to find her a new lawyer.

Britney said "they" wouldn't let her talk on the phone, Christina Lutfi says, admitting that she was the one who slipped her a prepaid phone on behalf of her brother and Ghalib at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills January 16.

Is Alleged Britney Spears Voicemail a Cry For Help?

A voicemail recording has started circulating that was allegedly left by Britney Spears, worrying that her dad, Jamie Spears, might take the kids from her.

The tape, which celebrity gossip photo and news source JFXonline claims was recorded on January 21, 2009, sounds like a message left for a lawyer.

No one knows who the lawyer is for sure, but TMZ believes that it's the dude who's been meddling in Britney Spears' affairs for about a year now.

We believe that man's name is Jon Eardley, who was hit with a restraining order by Jamie Spears on January 31 along with Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib.

That part is just our theory. But in the voicemail - if it's legit - Britney Spears or someone who sounds like her talks about ending the conservatorship ...

Britney Spears Calls For Help

What do you think? Is this really a voicemail from Britney Spears?

The friction between Britney and her dad has been no secret so far this year. In late February, Jamie Spears - who controls all of his daughter's affairs - reportedly went ballistic on Britney got her hands on a prepaid phone and was dialing up Adnan.

Jamie is also in the process of trying to shut down a fan site of Britney's for reasons unknown. Is he ruling with an iron fist or just doing what he needs to?

For what it's worth, things seem to be better between them of late as he's been with her on the road as the conservatorship and Circus tour run on all cylinders.
