It's been awhile since we've heard from Alli Sims.

Guess her singing career didn't take off quite as planned.

In any case, Jamie Lynn Spears' possible cousin says the 17-year-old will make a great mother to newborn daughter, Maddie.

"I'm sure the baby's beautiful, and I'm so glad everybody's healthy and doing well," Sims said at a party for Wanted in Los Angeles Thursday.

"I just wish them all the happiness in the world," she said. "I know they're going to have so much fun."

Alli Sims may have no career to speak of, but she's still quick to comment and sponge off "cousins" Jamie Lynn and Britney Spears whenever possible.

Sims â€" who said she is still "great friends" with Britney (now recording another new album) â€" added that she plans on sending "something cute."

"I'm sure they're doing great. I know they're so excited," Alli Sims said.

Maddie Briann Aldridge was born to Jamie Lynn and Casey Aldridge Thursday at Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Miss.

There is a new celebrity baby in the Spears clan! Jamie Lynn Spears and fiance Casey Aldridge welcomed a baby girl this morning: Maddie Briann!

"Just the family was there," says a source at the hospital in Mississippi where Jamie Lynn gave birth. "Everyone is healthy and happy."

Maddie Briann Aldridge was born around 9:30 this morning.

The big news follows reports that Jamie Lynn was hospitalized with complications and would be giving birth today. Glad she did - and everyone's healthy!

Jamie Lynn's big sister, Britney Spears, papa Jamie Spears and big brother Bryan Spears all flew in Wednesday to be with her for the birth.

Her mother, Lynne Spears, had been with her all along helping her get ready to sell the celebrity baby photos to OK! Magazine have the baby.

Britney Spears was on hand as Jamie Lynn Spears welcomed Maddie Briann into the world, as was her fiance / baby daddy, Casey Aldridge.

Since announcing her pregnancy in December, Jamie Lynn has been laying low in the comforts of her hometown of Kentwood, La. She and Casey Aldridge, who got engaged this spring, bought a house in nearby Liberty, Miss.

According to the National Enquirer, doctors are prepping Jamie Lynn Spears for a C-section due to complications in her pregnancy.

The 17 year-old sister of Britney Spears had an ultrasound last week, indicating her baby may be in  breech position, which is not good.

With JLS' due date pushed up, family and fiance / baby-daddy Casey Aldridge, 19, are gathering at Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center.

Britney Spears and her father Jamie Spears left Los Angeles Wednesday on a commercial flight to join Jamie Lynn in McComb, Mississippi.

Earlier tests reportedly showed that these two are having a girl.

According to the Enquirer, Jamie Lynn and Casey Aldridge plan to name their new baby a combination of both their names - Cailynn.

No idea whether any of the above is true (consider the source), but if so, little Cailynn would instantly be our favorite celebrity baby.

SIDE NOTE: They could also name her Cynn. That would still give the little girl a name after each of them - and describe how they are living.

As Britney Spears looks to sell her home in the Hollywood Hills for a quieter routine in the suburbs, she can take a cue from her sister!

As we reported yesterday, Lynne Spears - mom of Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears - is coming out with a new book about raising train wrecks parenting.

This shameless attempt to cash in would give even Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag pause. We can only imagine the wisdom she'll dispense.

Lynne Spears, mother of Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears, has always been known for her deep desire to cash in commitment to strong parenting.

Her memoir - yes, her f*%king memoir - which was delayed last winter amid Jamie Lynn getting knocked up at 16, will be now released this fall.

Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World is the title. We're serious. Sorry, we're a little thrown off by this.

The book will chronicle Lynne Spears' pimping out raising of Britney, 26, and Jamie Lynn, 17, and how she ruined their lives for the sake of money groomed them into stars while coming from small-town Louisiana.

"When Jamie Lynn Spears got pregnant, the book was put on hold," a representative for Spears' publisher, Thomas Nelson Inc., said.

"But Lynne never stopped working on it because she wants to express her love for CA$H her children and tell their stories through her eyes."

"[It] will not be a parenting book," the rep said of the book, which was originally set to be titled simply Pop Culture Mom.

"It's [Lynne Spears] telling her story of what it was like being a mom and raising two very famous people. It's a memoir."

This book should come with a noose - if you buy it, there's really no point in going on. At least the weather's warm where Lynne's going.

Edwin Merino of Los Angeles, Calif., was arrested on Tuesday on charges of stalking pregnant teenage mother-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears.

Authorities in Liberty, La., say Edwin Merino wouldn't leave 17-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge (her fiance and baby-daddy) alone.

Who on earth would stalk this adorable, domestic couple?

The celebrity picture-taker was in the middle of a four-day visit to the small town in Mississippi where the two just bought a house.

Merino denies the charge, saying that he was some 200 feet away from the couple, using a long lens, at the time he was arrested.

"I think since I was the only [celebrity photographer] there, it was just easier for them to single me out," he told authorities.

According to sources, Merino spent some time in jail before posting $1,143 in blood money bail and being released. Good riddance.

We reported earlier this week that they bought a house.

Now Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge are in full-on nesting mode.

The parents-to-be, who recently purchased their first home together in Liberty, Miss., are preparing for the imminent birth of their child.

"They're very happy," says a source. "They're a fun little couple."

To get settled, Jamie Lynn Spears, 17, and Casey Aldridge, 19, recently had furniture - including an elaborately carved four-poster king-size canopy bed, a leather recliner, and a leather sofa - delivered to the house.

As Jamie Lynn's baby bump grows and grows, her mom, Lynne Spears, is helping her decorate the nursery, with the color scheme of pink, brown, and "silver-green," according to an insider.

Pregnant teenage couple Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge done gone n' bought themselves a new home - and ding dang, geewilikers, y'alls - dem sources we heard this from say it don't even got wheels on it! Yeeee-haww!

But seriously folks.

The new house - located near Lynne Spears' mansion in Kentwood, La. - has four bedrooms and plenty of room for a growing, wholesome American family to throw horseshoes, drink Natural Light and eat pork rinds out back.

Despite rumors that they're been fighting non-stop, the engaged Jamie Lynn and Casey seem to be building a nice little life together. Makes us so proud.
