The Hills Recap: "No Place Like Home"

Home may be where the heart is, but things aren't altogether sweet in the home of Lauren Conrad (LC) on this episode of The Hills.

Roommates Lauren Bosworth (Lo) and Audrina Patridge aren't really jiving, and the tension between them is getting worse by the minute.

While LC and Lo want to go tanning and shopping, Audrina has to go to Epic Records' studio, where the band Alkaline Trio is recording, for work.

She really wants the Laurens to stop by and see her, and they do, for about 15 seconds, before Lo complains about being hungry and they bail.

Lo denies any sort of blame by saying she's "just not cool enough to hang with bands," but Lauren Conrad is sad that her roomies haven't bonded.

If you thought Audrina Patridge's life was complicated, it pales in comparison to the reality show's other protagonist, the plastic-surgery loving Heidi Montag.

The fake-looking, duck-lipped bimbo decides that she wants to take her career to the next level. Her boss, club promoter / owner Brent Bolthouse, taps Heidi to help launch his new Hyde club - in Las Vegas! HOT!

She confides in Stephanie Pratt about the move, but asks that she not tell her brother, saying "It's something that I have to do for myself."

Back at Casa Conrad, Lauren and Lauren are cooing over their new puppy, who they have named Chloe. They gush that Chloe has two moms! *sniff*

Audrina? Not thrilled. Either she doesn't like dogs, or her roommates, or feeling left out. Or quite possibly a little from each category.

Patridge complains to Justin Brescia (a.k.a. Justin-Bobby) about feeling ostracized, and - ever the sage, level-headed influence one should always turn to - the unclean one recommends that Audrina start looking for other places to live on her own.

She's considering it, too.

Later, Stephanie kicks Spencer Pratt's lazy ass out of her apartment. His response: "I'll be gone. By the end. Of the day. Get out. Of my face."

Ouch.

With nowhere to go, he returns to Heidi's apartment unannounced, but when he gets there, he's shocked to discover she's nowhere to be seen...

Former Stephen Colletti Playthings Commiserate at Hyde

Stephen Colletti of Laguna Beach fame recently turned 22.

Not in attendance at the JV player's big birthday bash: Lauren Conrad. Or Kristin Cavallari. Or Hayden Panettiere. Nope, none of his exes showed up.

The latter two did come out of hiding on Thursday, however, cozying up (and maybe even dishing secrets) during a party at Hollywood hot spot Hyde!

Laguna Beach's Kristin Cavallari and Heroes' Hayden Panettiere both dated Stephen Colletti. We really hate Stephen Colletti right about now.

Kristin, 21, is back on the market after breaking up with Nick Zano, who she dated for like a year, after Colletti... and Brody Jenner. Hayden, 18, also moved on from Stephen to an older man - co-star Milo Ventimiglia. Go Halo!

As for Stephen, we believe him to be single.

But, given his track record of dating all the young celebrities we have crushes on, he should be getting it on with Blake Lively or Carrie Underwood any day now.

Audrina Patridge Arrives at Hyde; Seeks Drinks

We mean Hyde nightclub, of course, and Hills star Audrina Patridge - who denies she is having roommate problems with Lauren Conrad - looks as cute as ever.

Audrina Patridge is dressed up and ready for a night on the town:

No word on whether she fed the parking meter on her way into one of The Hills cast's favorite night spots, but it would be pretty appropriate if Audrina Patridge were given a ticket, since she's got FINE written all over her!

Crock-Blocked: Chris Crocker Negged at Hyde

Apparently Hyde still has some standards.

Effeminate Britney Spears fan and YouTube "celebrity" Chris Crocker went to the famed Hollywood hot spot last night to celebrate his 20th birthday - but his 15 minutes of fame appear to be the only thing extinguished on this eve.

Hyde's glory days have passed, but it's still out of Chris Crocker's league.

Sadly, Chris Crocker had to take his party train elsewhere as he was turned down at the super exclusive Sunset Blvd. saloon. Stunning, really.

Upon rejection, the derailed crybaby did make a good point, however: "If they won't let Aries Spears in, then they shouldn't let me in."

At least he's self-aware, unlike his look-alike Heidi Montag.

Lauren Conrad and Chris Richardson: The Remix!

What is this, April?

Lauren Conrad was seen leaving Hyde late Monday night right behind American Idol ~~reject~~ alumnus Chris Richardson. Romance rumors were brewing last Spring when they were spotted together during Chris' 15 minutes of fame.

At the MTV Movie Awards, Lauren Conrad reportedly said that Chris Richardson is a "Very sweet kid, but just a friend of mine... I'm not dating anyone."

Are they dating now? Who knows! But check out these pics of Lauren Conrad and Chris Richardson taken separately last night in and around Hyde.

Britney Spears Goes Clubbing After Drug Test Order

Just hours after a judge ordered drug testing for Britney Spears, the singer hit the Los Angeles nightclub scene overnight Tuesday with ... Avril Lavigne.

Followed by a pack of paparazzi, Spears first was seen at Winston's in West Hollywood with Lavigne and Spears' friend/cousin/bitch Alli Sims.

The women left around 1 a.m., and Britney Spears was later spotted at Hyde Lounge in West Hollywood where she partied until the club closed.

"They kept bringing (Britney Spears) shots and so they were drinking," says a Hyde patron, who may or may not have been Spencer Pratt.

"She was dancing on the tables trying to be really sexy, even putting a black sock over her head as a hat, and putting on a show for everyone."

Wow. We're gonna have to change our pants after reading that account.

Britney Spears goes buck wild ... with clothes on this time!

It gets weirder. At one point in the evening, an irate Britney drove over to the Beverly Hills Police Department and complained that a pack of celebrity news photographers was following her, but no action was taken.

Spears' night of partying came after the judge in her brutal custody fight with Kevin Federline found that she is a "habitual, frequent and continuous" user of alcohol and controlled substances. Well, at least this clears it up.

Britney Spears must now submit to random twice-weekly testing.

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon also ruled that both Spears and Federline may not consume alcohol or other substances at least 12 hours prior to being with their two children, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Club Watch: Bob Saget at Hyde (WTF) & Lots More

For all of those fearing that Hyde has jumped the proverbial shark, well, this isn't about to dispel that theory.

The man best known as Danny Tanner partied it up in L.A. Sunday. Yes, Bob Saget was the biggest celeb at Hyde, according to TMZ's club spies.

At least the Olsen Twins are old enough to get sloshed with him now.

Meanwhile, underage hottie Hayden Panettiere was spotted outside her home after visiting Nickelodeon Studios to support her little brother, Jansen Panettiere, in his new TV movie, Last Day of Summer.

Only 42 more days until she's legal. Just saying.

Back east, Akon and Samantha Cole were spotted rocking out to Amy Winehouse tunes in the Hamptons at the pleasure palace Star Room.

Fortunately, Akon did not smack that (well, at least not in public). We're sure he tried his best to throw someone off stage. Danah Allyene was probably mad jealous.

While Akon looked on, lyricist extraordinaire L'il Jon entered the scene and entertained the crowd from the DJ booth, taking over the beats.

We can only imagine, having heard his collaborations with Usher about 10 million times, that this involved a lot of L'il Jon screaming "Okaaaaay" and "Yeahhh!"

Meanwhile, back in the city, she of the large booty, Kim Kardashian and himbo Wilmer Valderrama rocked the Estrada Entertainment party at Home.

Hey, when you're no longer with Mandy Moore, you might as well move on to an inferior model. That guy's bedpost must be enormous to accommodate all those notches.

Hollywood Gossip Club Watch: Kevin Connolly, Two Duffs, Brody Jenner, Lauren Conrad, Kanye West at Hyde

He's already on a cool show.

But Kevin Connolly boosted his image as a player Tuesday night when he became the meat in a Duff sandwich, so to speak.

The adorable Entourage star arrived with the singing sisters at 11 p.m. for friend and promoter Frankie Delgado's birthday party, but his attention was soon all on Haylie Duff.

She's the older, less famous sister of Hilary Duff.

While the official word from their camps is that KevCon and Haylie aren't dating, they sure were canoodling and whispering in each others' ears - hard.

Don't worry, though - for those of you concerned that Hilary Duff is too young to be in the club, she was drinking only water. There would be no Lindsay Lohan binges for this starlet.

Tanned, blonde and in a strapless dress, Haylie looked like she just came from the beach Kevin was all over that piece like Britney Spears on an In-n-Out burger.

Also getting cuddly last night: Brody Jenner and just about every girl in the building. Except, of course, for his ex, Lauren Conrad - who was also there.

Yes, while The Hills stars were both at Hyde, Brody was giving Lauren Conrad the cold shoulder. Even after pulling the "unintentional" pass-by move, LC did not succeed in diverting Brody's attention from the bevy of babes circling him.

SIDE NOTE: It's interesting that the last time we heard from Brody, it was also in our Club Watch. This is because Brody Jenner does nothing but go to clubs and pick up girls. More power to him for it - we're just making a point here.

In any case, Lauren Conrad left at 12:30, thus missing a brief club cameo by Kanye West, who swaggered in at 1:15 a.m., but was out no more than 10 minutes later.

Probably had to get home to Alexis Phifer.

The Hills Recap: You Can Run, But You Can't Hyde

Not from the simple, yet sage words of Lauren Conrad:

"I think if a guy after a few months asked if I wanted to move in with him, I'd be like, Whoa." - to Heidi
"A good roommate is like a good pair of jeans â" you hold on to them no matter what." - to Heidi
"If you do a really shady thing, be like, 'I was shady.'" - to Jen
"You were evil and conniving. It wasn't all Brody; it was you." - to Jen

All these quotes and more stemmed from the drama on last night's episode of The Hills, which featured Lauren's coming of age - and not just because she celebrated her 21st birthday party at Hyde.

Finally, America's sweetheart is learning to stand up for herself, ladies and gentlemen.

The episode begins with Lauren and Heidi at the homestead. After a brief moment of tension during their discussion of Heidi possibly moving in with that douchebag Spencer Pratt, the estranged BFFs seemed cool again (thus the jeans comment).

And she's right. Who isn't happy to have Heidi Montag back on Team LC! Even better that Heidi was clearly getting along with Audrina Patridge as well, conspiring to plan Lauren's surprise party.

What wasn't all good was Heidi's relationship with Jen, who had the nerve to show up at Heidi's workplace to talk about her fight with Lauren!

Jen, apparently, is, like, best friends with Lauren. So she says. Which is why you hooked up with Brody Jenner behind LC's back, right? Bitch! Still, Jen laments: "I haven't talked to my best friend of 15 years for, like, what? For, like, sloppy thirds?"

Before telling her she had to get back to work, Heidi took the high road and said that she wasn't getting involved and this spat is between Jen and Lauren.

Later, Heidi throws Lauren off the party trail by faking like she was canceling on Lauren for Spencer for the 245th time. Wow, talk about a realistic lie! Lauren Conrad looked like she was about to cry, which was sad, but she was cool with it when everyone surprised her at Hyde.

It was weird, though, with Brody Jenner being back on the scene. And, OMG, going straight to asking about Jen. The guy may be hunky but he has some kind of nerve. It was nice, we think, that he apologized, even though Lauren insisted it wasn't his fault, when it, like, kind of was.

SIDE NOTE: Can you believe when Whitney Port told Lauren at work that she dated Brody once? Has this guy dated every cute girl in Southern California - and how does this not come up at Teen Vogue HQ until right now?

SIDE NOTE #2: What's funnier - the fact that Lauren Conrad is now 21, but has been going to these hot clubs for some time now, or the fact The Hills gals have become big enough stars that we knew about LC's 21st birthday party when it happened six weeks ago?

Anyway, back to reality. When Jen showed up at Lauren's place to apologize (and we use that term loosely), Lauren wasn't having any of it.

"You put yourself in this situation, she said before showing Jen the door.

If only she'd treat the guys in her life with the same determination. At least the legal system isn't as forgiving to Jason Wahler, right?

Hollywood's Hottest Spot: Going into Hyde-ing?

Hyde isn't going anywhere.

The night club still exists, but a recent trip there by Warren Beatty has led many to wonder if this former hot spot - home to such Hollywood hotties such as Kristin Cavallari - has seen its best days pass it by.

Let's relive them now:

Who could forget the drunken slur that shook the world? Certainly not Lindsay Lohan, now that the world has confirmation that the drapes do, in fact, match the rug.

This is totally normal for someone not running the Boston Marathon or anything.

- Jessica Simpson Shows Up and Sees Her Ex Husband and His New GF
Nick Lachey meant well. But at least Jess can now get him back: just play a song by new boy toy, John Mayer.

Don't be a Band-Aid unless you want to wear one - at least that's what we think Dancing with the Stars' Shanna Moakler was contemplating when she "ran into" Paris Hilton after seeing her and Shanna's soon-to-be ex husband, Blink 182's Travis Barker, making out in paparazzi pics.
