Miranda Barbour says she left a deadly trail of bodies in her wake before being arrested for a single murder earlier this winter, but is she telling the truth?

Alleged "Craigslist Killer" Barbour, who was arrested for the slaying of Troy LaFerrera, said she killed 22 other people, until she lost count of her body count.

She qualified that it was less than 100, and that her Satan-infused, murderous alter ego "Super Miranda" would take over her body when the time was right.

The claims are chilling ... but are they possibly true?

The D.A. in Northumberland County, Pa., doubts that the 19-year-old girl killed anyone beyond LeFerrera, whose sex ad on Craigslist she answered.

He said in a statement Tuesday afternoon:

An awful response to a child's birthday invitation is making its rounds on the Internet. The reason? The kids' parents are gay, and a classmate's mom is not a fan.

Birthday Party Invite Response

Two gay dads living in Baldwin, N.Y., submitted it to their local radio station.

Originally posted on the K-98.3 FM Facebook page, the heartbreaking note was allegedly authored by a disapproving mother on an invite to Sophia's big day.

Maybe she really just doesn't like tie-dye parties?

"Tommy will NOT attend," the note says harshly.

"I do not believe in what you do and will not subject my innocent son to your 'lifestyle.' I'm sorry Sophia has to grow up this way. If you have an issue or need to speak to me: [number erased]"

We're more sorry for Tommy, to be honest.

Sunday night's Super Bowl XLVIII result was certainly a joke, but was it rigged? The online conspiracy theorists are swarming following the lopsided outcome.

The Seattle Seahawks didn't just beat the Denver Broncos, they absolutely demolished them in every conceivable facet of the NFL championship game.

It was not as close as the score suggests ... and the score was 43-8.

Obviously, this has given way to the obligatory chatter that the Super Bowl was rigged, and Huzlers, site with an Onion-like penchant for satire, fueled the fire.

Huzlers posted a “breaking” story this week with the headline “Super Bowl XLVIII Believed to Have Been Rigged and Currently Under Investigation by NFL.”

Because few people know what Huzlers is, people believed this.

The story claimed NFL officials “found clues that might prove the game was rigged" and imply Denver "lost the championship in exchange for a large amount of money.”

Brian Dawe is making (not at all) surprising allegations regarding his “relationship” with Farrah Abraham, claiming it was all a farce staged to get on VH1.

Dawe claims the “faux-mance” was solely for the purpose of appearing on Couples Therapy, but at the last minute, he couldn’t go through with it.

“I got myself in this situation because I was only thinking about the profit I would be making from doing this show. That was wrong,” Dawe lamented.

“In the back of my head, I realized I could not participate in a TV show that would further exploit Farrah, and where I would have to lie to be involved.”

On the Couples Therapy season premiere, she was stood up by Brian. Her fake relationship was mocked by Jenelle Evans and others on Twitter.

Apparently, her shock at being alone in the Couples Therapy house was real. Unlike most other things Farrah Abraham has said or done in her life.

So how did it reach that point?

The rumored death of Sharkeisha, a Houston teen who punched and beat a classmate senseless in a video that went viral last month, was trending last night.

Not unlike allegations that Paul Walker faked his death, which also stemmed from bogus online sources, it appears to be a hoax. Sharkeisha is alive and well.

Or at least alive. She's not well in the head, clearly.

The Twitter account “Queen Sharkeisha,” claiming to be the infamous video attacker, alleged that she had been gunned down in a drive-by shooting.

The account posted a photo of a young woman in the hospital.

The photo used was not Sharkeisha, however, and was actually from an old New York Post article about a 42-year-old named Karen Brim (see below).

A comedy site, Huzlers (dot) com also posted the story about her being shot before the aforementioned Tweet. It's unclear if the two acts were coordinated.

In any case, the Twitter user claiming to be Sharkeisha wrote alongside the unrelated photo: “2 shots, 12 stitches and still breathing. THANK YOU LORD."

There was no actual media coverage of the incident, but the story spread, and the terms “RIP Sharkiesha” and “Prayforsharkeisha” began trending on Twitter.

Paul Walker faked his death, according to a website publishing a story describing and depicting with photo "evidence" how the star pulled off the hoax.

As was the case the day of Paul's death, when a Facebook hoax claimed his demise was untrue and gave many false hope, the only hoax here is the hoax itself.

The website nodisinfo (dot) com started the tasteless rumor Friday. The site's claims are all fabricated, but have not stopped fans from confirming this online.

RIP Paul Walker

The site alleges: "They are all lying. Paul Walker didn’t die. Nor did Roger Rodas. They are both alive and well, and their relatives well know it."

"It has already been established that the relatives of Paul Walker are involved in a cover-up, that is the cover-up of faking the actor’s death."

"It has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, here, that the accident is a fabrication and that there wasn’t any real car crash."

"Rather, what is seen is imagery of a man-made car fire and a car pre-placed in position to be incinerated: without either Walker or Rodas inside."

The website also tries to disprove the smoke from the "man-made car fire" and says his girlfriend Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell had a hand in his "fake death."

Harvard University student Eldo Kim has been named in a criminal complaint alleging he was responsible for bomb threats at the college this week.

His stunt led Harvard school officials to delay some final exams that had been scheduled for Monday, which it turns out was exactly his intention.

Totally worth it.

Kim, 20, of Cambridge, Mass., allegedly e-mailed bomb threats at about 8:30 a.m. on Monday to offices associated with Harvard, including to University police.

The subject line in each of the messages read "bombs placed around campus" and cited "shrapnel bombs" in four buildings on the school's main campus.

"2/4. guess correctly. be quick or they will go off soon," they said.

The Harvard police called in the FBI, ATF, Secret Service, Cambridge Police Department and the Boston Police Department, as well as local first responders.

A new video titled "R.I.P. Lil Wayne, Rapper Found Dead" is going viral across Facebook and other social media platforms, leaving fans fearing the obvious.

Lil Wayne is not dead, however, despite what the video's title would have you believe (and despite his very real health problems in recent years).

Not only is the hoax video (NOT the one below) a sham, given that the rapper is alive well, it may contain a virus as it continues to spread virally.

Wayne, who suffers from epileptic seizures, has been prematurely reported dead or near dead several times in the past, most famously this year.

Several celebrity gossip sites reported that he was being read his last rites after a seizure, and that may well have been true or simply a false report.

There's a difference between that and a HOAX, though, which is what this is. The “R.I.P. Lil Wayne” video is simply made up for unknown reasons.

Well, one reason may be fairly obvious, actually, and sinister.

Former celebrity Paris Hilton was on the receiving end of a Twitter hoax Thursday involving "her" supposed reaction to the death of Nelson Mandela.

"Paris" did not sound smart in her alleged Tweet, posted after Nelson Mandela died at the age of 95, and actual Paris is not happy about it whatsoever.

"RIP Nelson Mandela," the Photoshopped tweet purportedly from Hilton read. "Your 'I Have A Dream' speech was so inspiring. An amazing man."

  • Pretty Paris Hilton
  • Nelson Mandela Picture

That's right, Hilton was supposedly so brick stupid that she confused Mandela with Martin Luther King Jr., or so the fake tweet would have you believe.

Which more than a few people did ... which isn't all that surprising, considering the proliferation of hoaxes on Twitter, and the fact that it's Paris Hilton.

NOTE: Paris is a former celebrity who was like the Kim Kardashian of 2003-2007. The two were even friends, and their "career paths" are similar.

You could say the Paris Hilton sex tape was the Kim Kardashian sex tape before the Kim Kardashian sex tape was the Kim Kardashian sex tape.

Looks like The Bachelor producer Elan Gale's epic airline feud with a fellow airline passenger was about as real as the show he works on for ABC.

The 30-year-old L.A. native confessed to staging the Thanksgiving Day saga in which he took on "Diane," Tweeting that he was just being funny.

Elan Gale Photo

With growing speculation that Gale's Turkey Day feud was all in jest, Gale took to Twitter to explain. "So many questions unanswered about Diane."

"In 15 minutes I will post the photo and hopefully we can resolve this." He then captioned a pic of an empty chair: Here is Diane sitting in a chair."

With due credit for execution, that's pretty weak, we gotta say.

A commenter the asked: "Did you make it up, yes or no?"

Elan Gale replied, "Yes." Soon after he added, "I conclude by saying hopefully a few people got a few laughs over a slow Thanksgiving weekend."
