When it comes to New York City Mayoral candidates, it will be hard to get more controversial than creepy sexting fiend Anthony Weiner.

But City Council Speaker and Weiner opponent Christine Quinn raised a few eyebrows this week when she received an endorsement Planned Parenthood.

In turn, the Democrat went on record with the following: She would consider making the morning after contraception pill available to girls as young as 11 years old.

The 47-year-old Quinn, who would be New York's first openly gay mayor, takes the stance in a time where Planned Parenthood is under increased scrutiny.

Yes, Quinn understands it can make some folks uncomfortable, but we “need to recognize the reality of what’s happening in children’s lives," she said in a statement.

Learn more about her position in the above video and then vote in the following poll:

Should the morning after pill be made available to middle schoolers?

With questions continuing to be raised over why Lee Thompson Young killed himself at the age of 29 this week, a new report points to a pair of possible reasons:

  1. Depression.
  2. Religion.

An unnamed source tells the site that Young had suffered from the former for a long time, while confirming that the Rizzoli & Isles star was anything but a party animal during his time on Earth.

"He was the opposite. Lee loved to travel and was always the first to tell everyone to take a breath and enjoy the beauty of life," the insider says, adding the star was "gentle and unassuming" despite a lot of success in Hollywood.

A four-inch-fork was recently removed from a man's penis after he apparently inserted it in there as part of a bizarre effort to achieve sexual gratification.

Seriously. This was in the International Journal of Surgery Cases.

Fork in Penis

The Canberra, Australia man was hospitalized with "bleeding urethral meatus" after the 70-year-old tried to lodge it in there for reasons unknown.

The fork was removed with forceps and "copious lubrication."

According to the report, this case was a first - but only because of the particular object. Other utensils and foreign objects have been in penises before.

In a study undoubtedly commissioned by a man, new findings determine that those who have sex at least four times per week make more money than those who come down with "headaches" on a frequent basis.

This conclusion has been drawn in a paper ("The Effects of Sexual Activity on Wages") by Nick Drydakis, a fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor.

He looked into a year-long survey of 7,500 Greek households that asked such questions as:

How many times a week do you get it on? How much do you make? How many hours do you work?

Breastfeeding three children at the same time is not for everybody, mentally or physically, but that's what Wales mother Samantha Williams proudly does.

She announced this last week, with an interesting footnote:

Only one of the three kids is a baby.

Wales Mom

Samantha is nursing her 7-month-old. Her 3-year-old. AND her 5-year-old, She uses a technique called "tandem nursing" of her baby and two older kids.

Only two can latch on at any one time, after all.

Naturally, reaction to her story was mixed. Is she a poster woman for breastfeeding? Taking it too far with the older kids? A little of both, perhaps?

A Duke University study suggests that autism might be linked with inducing and/or speeding up labor for pregnant women, especially if the baby is male.

The preliminary findings need investigating, since labor is induced in increasing numbers of U.S. women, researchers and other autism experts say.

It's possible, they say, that labor-inducing drugs may increase autism risk, or that the problems that lead doctors to start labor explain the results.

These include diabetes and fetal complications, which have also been linked to autism, though like most autism research, conclusive answers are elusive.

The authors reiterate that the results shouldn't lead doctors to avoid inducing labor or speeding it up since it can be life-saving for mothers and babies.

CNN medical expert Dr. Sanjay Gupta announced last night that he has reversed his blanket opposition to marijuana use, saying he once misled the public.

Gupta, whose documentary on weed airs on Sunday, issued a 180 on Piers Morgan Tonight and in an op-ed called "Why I Changed My Mind On Weed."

"I have apologized for some of the earlier reporting because I think, you know, we've been terribly and systematically misled in this country for some time," he said.

"And I did part of that misleading."
