Actress Hayden Panettiere made international headlines last month when she was involved in a violent protest in which she and other activists tried in vain to stop fishermen from their traditional hunting of dolphins off the coast of Japan.

The altercation didn't end well for the animals, and Hayden Panettiere was rather upset about it, understandably. But every dark cloud has a silver lining, and for us, that means a pair of bikini photos of Hayden Panettiere from that day!

Earlier this week, the Heroes star showed off her crafting skills with Ne-Yo and other celebrities during a nice visit to a New York Ronald McDonald House, as part of World Children's Day on Tuesday. She's always willing to lend a hand.

Yesterday, she was content to kick it with mom. No word on whether Hayden has any particular favorite Little Miss Sunshine quotes, but she sure looks cute in the t-shirt. And, unlike Britney Spears - spotted wearing the very same shirt last December - Hayden actually has pants on with it! What a concept.

She looks sexier than ever in her recent photo shoot for the new GQ, but that doesn't mean Hayden Panettiere isn't looking for a gentleman. Applications, guys?

GQ: When will you become the latest screwed-up girl in Hollywood?
Hayden Panettiere: Never, never. Cross our fingers.

GQ: We can't schedule it for your 21st birthday or anything?
Hayden Panettiere: You can't schedule rehab for me. And I don't think you can schedule any DUIs. I think I'm going to be one of those boring girls.

GQ: Will you at least go into a gas-station bathroom without shoes on?
Hayden Panettiere: No, that's disgusting. I've walked around other places maybe without my shoes on, but not bathrooms.

GQ: Tell us about your couple of years, since Heroes began.
Hayden Panettiere: This business turns life upside down. For some strange reason, I've become one of the targets of the paparazzi. Things get crazy.

GQ: It seems that we're pushing these young women toward meltdowns.
Hayden Panettiere: Absolutely. Britney Spears, for example. That girl was the epitome of beauty when I was younger. And we built her up and just ripped her down, put every aspect of her life under a microscope. Probably made 90 percent of the stuff up along the way. I can't even imagine if I had it like she does.

GQ: Well, things are much better for you. You're on a hit TV show. When are you going to ask NBC for the really big bucks?
Hayden Panettiere: Riiiight? I don't know! I wanna ask. We'll see.

GQ: Look, you're the biggest star on NBC. You need a million an episode.
Hayden Panettiere: I would feel bad if I got a million an episode.

GQ: It worked for the Friends, you know.
Hayden Panettiere: Dude, they got Porsches. We got a poker set!

GQ: What's the craziest rumor you've read about yourself?
Hayden Panettiere: Well, now that I'm single, it's like I'm dating every male I'm standing next to â€" and possibly every female.

GQ: You had to figure the lesbian rumor was coming.
Hayden Panettiere: Actually, that is pretty funny.

GQ: If someone were to put you together with a leading man, who would it be?
Hayden Panettiere: It could be anyone - Leo DiCaprio to Justin Timberlake - or any girl. You want to make me a lesbian? That's totally fine with me.

GQ: Okay. Well, who would be good?
Hayden Panettiere: Umm, let's see. We could do a love affair with Angelina Jolie. We could do... Oh gosh, there are so many beautiful girls out there. Charlize Theron. Oh, my God. Kate Beckinsale is gorgeous. Jessica Alba!

GQ: And you're not dating your Heroes costar Milo Ventimiglia, which is the celebrity gossip that's flying around most frequently about you?
Hayden Panettiere: No, I'm not. I love my castmates, and I adore Milo Ventimiglia. He's awesome, but we're easy targets. We're both young, and he's one of the only people on the show not married with children.

Nevertheless, there's no denying that the barely legal Heroes star has officially become the latest member of the crotch shot club - Hollywood Gossip style!

Seen here coming to last week's Victoria Secret Fashion show, Hayden Panettiere was trying her best not to join the illustrious crew headed by Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. But the celebrity photo agencies won out.

We never thought we would see this day at The Hollywood Gossip, but with this Hayden Panettiere upskirt pic, the 18-year-old star has joined an infamous club.

Hayden (who clearly tried to avoid this photo opportunity, unlike some other slutty celebrities we know) was a good sport about it, though, smiling and waving in denial. Somewhere, Lindsay Lohan is smiling. And all kids of coked up.

Who needs McDonald's or Burger King when you can pull up to your very own personal Hayden Panettiere Drive-Thru. Right, Milo Ventimiglia? Man. We can only imagine what sort of delights they serve over at that place...

Hayden Panettiere: Service with a smile!

It looks as though Hayden Panettiere's heroic dolphin-saving mission last month wasn't without consequences for the talented actress.

"I just learned that they have an arrest warrant out for me in Japan," the Heroes star told E! News Wednesday. "We just found this out."

Hayden Panettiere, 18, was part of a convoy of activists from both the U.S. and Australia who, on October 30, paddled out on surfboards to protest the annual slaughter of dolphins and whales by Japanese fisherman.

Her group attempted to swim to and reach a pod of dolphins before it was driven into a nearby cove and massacred, but they were blocked by a fishing boat and attacked themselves before they could reach the marine mammals.

"It was really frightening," a tearful and clearly upset Hayden Panettiere said at the time. "But in the end, all we really worried about was the dolphins."

After returning to shore, the group headed directly to Osaka and left the country to avoid being arrested for trespassing by the Japanese police.

Now it looks like the scare's not quite over for the actress. When asked what the arrest warrant could mean, Hayden replied, "Potentially jail, but I doubt it."

The Heroes cutie is thrilled that the incident garnered international attention, however, as it could result in educating others about dolphins' plight.

"In this town, you tend to be able to get publicity only when you're not wearing underwear or you're in rehab," Panettiere said. "I'm very excited that people were interested in what we did and I'd to it again."

Since cozying up and practically pawing each other at an Emmy Awards party back in September, Heroes stars Milo Ventimiglia and Hayden Panettiere, a.k.a. Halo, have been the subject of rumors regarding the nature of their relationship.

Two months later, the duo is still close, and was seen hanging out together again at Wednesday's Race in the Fight Against Epilepsy fundraiser, in Calabasas, Calif. But are these two the Heroes of each other's love lives?

When asked about the reports of romance, Milo Ventimiglia, 30, laughed and then paused. After a few seconds, he answered, "Hayden and I are very close friends. It's only natural that people are going to couple us together."

Milo Ventimiglia and Hayden Panettiere, 18, hung together outside the bash while awaiting their fellow Heroes costars. And while they spoke closely in a shadowy corner, they remained strictly hands-off. But for how long!?!?!

Once inside, the two were quickly ushered into a private VIP room. They are so getting it on, who are they kidding!? Enough with the secrecy, peeps! So what if Hayden rolls over and sees Milo Ventimiglia shirtless every morning?

Masi Oka and James Kyson Lee, who play Hiro and Ando on the NBC series, have both chimed in on the prospective pairing in recent weeks, saying rumors aren't true and that Milo and Hayden are just friends. Lies.

In any case, they were getting together for a very good cause. Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia attended Wednesday's party to support a Heroes co-star, Greg Grunberg, whose son Jake suffers from epilepsy.

Pretty, out-of-work actress Hayden Panettiere has the cure for the writers' strike blues - shop 'til you drop! The Heroes star arrives at home in Los Angeles Sunday with a handful of shopping bags ... hey, gotta do something with your free time.

There has been very little progress in the negotiations between networks and TV writers, and the strike threatens to halt production of many shows before long.

Hayden Panettiere said Thursday that she might never have been involved in a recent protest in which she tried to save the dolphins in Japan without inspiration and influence she's gotten through her hit TV series, Heroes.

The NBC show "is about being a hero. And you know, Heroes has kinda rubbed off on me," the 18-year-old Panettiere said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"I don't think if I was as recognizable in the public eye that it would have made as much of an impact," Hayden told Ellen DeGeneres.

Panettiere took part in an anti-whaling protest in Japan last month with a group called Sea Shepherd. The activists paddled on surfboards to confront fishermen who slaughter dolphins for food but were driven back - and in a video shot by Sky News, Panettiere was seen weeping when she got back to the shore.

Hayden Panettiere said that while she was afraid of the fishermen, and possible sharks in the water, that faded when she saw the dolphins.

"Every ounce of fear disappeared just watching those animals," Hayden said. "They know exactly what is going to happen, and as soon as they felt our presence, and knew that we were coming in peace... All we wanted to do was go and cut them out of [their enclosure], and we couldn't."

Ellen Degeneres, a noted animal lover, told Panettiere, "I admire and respect you and all the people who do that for a living for being able to witness it."

Hayden Panettiere added that the group's mission extends beyond interfering with the dolphin hunts, and is more educational than known by the public.

"We are trying to educate people that whale and dolphin meat is highly toxic," she said. "They are basically poisoning themselves by eating them."
