Gwyneth Paltrow is On to Alex Rodriguez

Madonna's BFF (Best Friend Forever) hung out with Madonna's SPCGMT (Shady, Playoff-Choking, Giggolo of a Man Toy) this weekend.

Indeed, Gwyneth Paltrow and Alex Rodriguez each attended the re-opening of Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach last night.

Seems like the actress is sneaking an all-knowing glance at the baseball player, isn't she? Even though Madonna wasn't present at the event, we thinks Gwyneth knows where A-Rod is headed after the party...

Celebrity Fashion Police: Pull Over, Gwyneth Paltrow!

Gwyneth Paltrow, who starred in Iron Man over the summer, would have been better off sporting a dress made from that metal than the monstrosity she donned during a public appearance earlier this week.

Unsure whether to cover her lingerie or not, the actress did the next worst thing: she donned an outfit that appeared to expose her negligee. Yikes.

Gwyneth Paltrow Poses for Tod's

Under under the beauty radar, Gwyneth Paltrow is seen here in a new ad campaign for Italian label Tod's. She's wearing part of its autumn/winter 2008-9 collection.

"Gwyneth effortlessly embodies the spirit of the all American woman with timeless elegance and modern flair - the perfect representation of the Tod's woman," said creative director Derek Lam. "And, of course, beyond her impeccable style, she is an artist."

Gwyneth Paltrow Dishes on Celebrity Baby Play Dates

Party AnimalHere's what newborn celebrity babies, such as Dannielynn Hope, have to look forward to:

Lots of time spent in bed while their parents get drunk downstairs.

Okay, that may not be entirely accurate, but Gwyneth Paltrow says she and her fellow famous moms often get together for what are probably the world's most stylish play dates.

"I have friends like Stella McCartney or Madonna, and very often our children get together to play," Paltrow tells Spanish Vogue. "Although usually we leave them in bed and stay to drink a glass of wine."

The actress and husband Chris Martin are parents to Apple, who turns 3 in May, and 11-month-old Moses. She also somehow supports Lindsay Lohan.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie have Lourdes, 10, and Rocco, 6, and are in the process of adopting David Banda, 17 months; and McCartney and husband Alasdhair Willis have a son, Miller, 2, and a 3-month-old daughter, Bailey.

Paltrow took the last few years off of making movies to focus on raising her kids, and recently called being a housewife "amazing."

And she still has a sense of awe when it comes to her children. "When I look at my daughter's skin, it's the most beautiful and perfect in the world," she tells the magazine.

Older men may disagree, citing Antonella Barba as possessing the best skin on the planet - but we see where Paltrow is coming from.

We don't see, however, how underrated baby Kingston Rossdale got left off the play date list. Give Gwen Stefani a call, Gwyneth.

Gwyneth Paltrow on Lindsay Lohan: She'll be Okay

Best BudsWell, that whole Firecrotch and promiscuity thing aside.

Speaking strictly about alcohol consumption, we assume, Gwyneth Paltrow came out in defense of our least favorite red head. The Oscar Award-winning actress forecasted the following.

"My prediction is that Lindsay Lohan, she'll figure it out," Paltrow said. "It's really, really hard to be so young and so in the public eye and I think it's very confusing ... It's hard to be that out there and, you know, when everybody's analyzing everything you do, and she's ... very young."

So is Hilary Duff, though. And you don't see her getting all wasted. Usually.

Paltrow also said she felt that Lohan is very talented and will have a successful career.

We can't say we agree with that - but we do support Gwyneth's apparent dig at Dina Lohan.

"My parents would have killed me if I didn't do it behind closed doors," the actress said of any sort of partying or hard drinking.

We'll have to wait and see how Emma Bunton handles her child drinking. At the rate kids go these days, however, Baby Spice may have to lay down the law in just a few years.

It's sad.

Gwyneth Paltrow: An American and Loving It!

U-S-A!Before you pull a Nicole Richie and start flipping off Gwyneth Paltrow, consider how her recent remarks about America may have been misconstrued.

After all, they were spoken in broken Spanish.

The actress told People magazine she is "deeply upset" over stories claiming she insulted her native country in any way.

"First of all I feel so lucky to be American. When you look at the rest of the world, we're so lucky, and that's something my dad always instilled in me," Paltrow said. "I feel so proud to be American."

The patriotic problems began after the friend of Jay-Z was quoted as telling the Portuguese newspaper Diario De Noticias:

"The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans."

"I felt so upset to be completely misconstrued and I never, ever would have said that," said the 34-year-old Academy Award winner. "I definitely did not say that I think the British are more intelligent and civilized than Americans. I am a New York girl, that's how I always think of myself and see myself."

Paltrow lives part-time in London with her British husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, and their two children, Apple, 2, and Moses, 7 months. The quote confusion can be attributed to her less-than-fluent grasp of a language, something Jessica Simpson can relate to.

"This is what I said. I said that Europe is a much older culture and there's a difference. I always say in America, people live to work and in Europe, people work to live. There are positives in both."

Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow Get Back Together

On screen, that is.

The former lovers will reunite for an upcoming movie, as Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow make their first film together since Se7en.

Scruffy Bradley

The couple - who were together for three years and were engaged to be married - will star in Dirty Tricks about the life of former American president Richard Nixon. (You thought it was about Dustin Diamond, admit it.)

The film - which also stars Sharon Stone, Meryl Streep, Jim Broadbent, Annette Bening, and Jill Clayburgh - will cover the Watergate scandal during which Martha Mitchell, played by Streep, blew the whistle on her husband - Nixon chief of staff, John Mitchell.

Paltrow will play Maureen Dean, the wife of John Dean who, stood by her man as the Nixon team went down in scandal.

It is not yet known what Brad's part will be. Or if Angelina Jolie is jealous of the pairing. But we doubt it. That woman exudes confidence.

First Concert at Royal Albert Hall Stars Jay Z and ... Gwyneth Paltrow?

Apparently.

Over the weekend, concert goers were surprised with a treat (we guess) when Jay-Z wasn't the only rapper to take the stage at famed Royal Albert Hall in London.

Paltrow Played with Jay-Z

Joining him was the star of Shakespeare in Love and Proof, as Gwyneth Paltrow sang the chorus of "Song Cry" from the rapper's classic "Blueprint" album.

Can't say we saw that partnership coming.

"She was a bit nervous but her performance was really excellent," says 1Xtra DJ G Money, who was at the gig. And goes by that name, evidently.

Other onstage guests included Paltrow's husband, Chris Martin, Beyonce and rap star Nas. It was the first hip-hop gig to take place in the Royal Albert Hall.

"It was an historic event," said G Money. "We were in the same seats that you've seen at the Proms. It was amazing."

Know what else was amazing? Last night's episode of Laguna Beach.

Celebrity Look-Alikes, Vol. 7

We think it's great Gwyneth Paltrow will soon be returning to the big screen. We miss that smile and charm.

However, Apple and Moses' mother may need to be careful. Fans may be mistaking Paltrow for Claire Danes if the two actresses continue to dress so similarly. It's okay to smile, too, ladies ...
