Chris Brown is planning a crazy performance for the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, according to reports. The star is up for three Grammys - Best R & B Album, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song - at the annual music extravaganza.

“Chris has been rehearsing non-stop,” a source close to the singer said. “He wants to give the audience and his fans an over top the performance. Chris has put a lot of pressure on himself to deliver, and he will deliver, he always does."

He won't be doing interviews, though ... until 2013 or later.

Brown on Today

It was only three years ago that Brown was arrested for felony battery on his then girlfriend, Rihanna, on the night before the 2009 Grammy Awards.

"Chris is hopeful that his performance will close that chapter on his life," says the source. "He will be bringing his mom to the awards ceremony, she is his biggest fan, and he has told her he is dedicating his performance to her."

"Chris has grown tremendously as a person, and an artist from that time in his life. He's complied with all terms of his probation. He has been a model probationer, but more importantly, Chris accepted responsibility for what he did."

Taylor Swift rules the world of pop music and country music.

But she might want to leave the rapping up to the host of the 2012 Grammy Awards.

In a great new commercial for that February 12 ceremony, Swift stands alongside LL Cool J and tries to beat box along with the NCIS: Los Angeles star - but quickly realizes she's in way over her cute blonde head. Still, Taylor should not lose all hope: she does a pretty mean Eminem, after all.

Katy Perry has booked her first U.S. performances since breaking up with Russell Brand late last year. It looks like she's got a busy week ahead of her, too.

The 27-year-old hits the stage at a private pre-Super Bowl party in Indianapolis Saturday, then will do double duty on Grammy weekend in Los Angeles.

On February 10, she'll be among the headliners honoring Paul McCartney at the MusiCares benefit. Then it's on to the 2012 Grammy Awards February 12!

Katy Perry is Back

Perry is a nominee for Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Solo Performance, and has enjoyed a record-setting year, making the Grammys a fitting return spot.

Katy has performed abroad as a single woman, just not in the U.S. In her first show since Russell Brand filed for divorce, Perry planted a kiss on a lucky fan's cheek.

A pic of Perry smooching the surprised, shirtless male onstage caused quite a stir on the Internet. Katy set the record straight on Twitter afterward, though:

"I have *kissed* 1 boy, picked randomly out of the audience, on the cheek as part of my show for all 125 tour dates," she tweeted. "Simmer down now."

LOL. Sure ... but were you single then, Katy?!

It was already a safe assumption that we'd be seeing Adele on stage at the 2012 Grammy Awards, collecting practically every trophy handed out at the February 12 ceremony.

But CBS now confirms the artist will be singing at the event, as well, marking her first public performance since throat surgery in October.

Adele at the Grammys

"I'm immensely proud to have been asked to perform at this year's Grammy Awards," the best-selling artist of 2011 said in a statement. "It's an absolute honor to be included in such a night and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it all."

Adele is up for Record and Song of the Year for "Rolling in the Deep," Album of the Year for "21," and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Someone Like You." She's favored to win the most Grammys of anyone this year - and for good reason.

Chris Brown will perform at the Grammy Awards next month, E! reports. It will be his first appearance at the annual show since 2009, when ... you know.

The singer, whose career has rebounded nicely despite some memorable flare-ups, is up for three awards this year, so his appearance isn't too surprising.

Plans for his performance are still being worked out, so details are lacking at the moment. Meanwhile, his ex Rihanna will perform with Coldplay.

Breezy Live

Chris Brown and Rihanna have been the subject of great speculation lately, most recently after they partied together (but separately) in W. Hollywood.

The two are said to be on good terms now, and even hooking up ... but they kept their distance last week. Brown was there with GF Karrueche Tran.

The Grammy Awards will be hosted by NCIS: LA star LL Cool J and telecast live on CBS from Los Angeles' Staples Center on Sunday, February 12.

Also set to perform are Jason Aldean, Kelly Clarkson, Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Paul McCartney, the Band Perry, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift and more.

Rihanna and Coldplay will perform together at next month's Grammy Awards.

The pop star, who is nominated for four Grammys including album of the year for Loud, tweeted the news to her followers Wednesday, calling it "BONKERS."

Coldplay is up for three awards. It's unclear what song the two will perform together, but they collaborated recently on Coldplay's "Princess of China" ...

While it's been reported that Rihanna and Chris Brown are hooking up again, that's far from confirmed ... but they are both expected at the Grammys.

Legendary Beatles frontman Paul McCartney was announced Thursday by The Recording Academy as another performer on the February 12 broadcast.

NCIS: Los Angeles star LL Cool J will host the annual music extravaganza, which will be broadcast on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Ailing songstress Adele, nominated for six Grammys, is planning on attending the awards ceremony in Los Angeles next month and hopes to sing at the event.

Adele was forced to cancel her remaining tour and promotional appearances after undergoing throat surgery last November and is on the shelf indefinitely.

The "Rolling In The Deep" singer is nominated in six categories, including album of the year, record of the year, and song of the year for her second album, 21.

Adele on Stage

Adele underwent vocal cord microsurgery by Dr. Steven Zeitels to stop recurrent vocal cord hemorrhage (bleeding) from a benign polyp, according to reports.

Her rehabilitation is well underway.

"Adele will be at the Grammys in Los Angeles on February 12 at the Staples Center," a source close to the singer says. "She's thrilled to be nominated."

"It's been a hard time for her because of the surgery. She has begun talking more, with her doctor's permission. Adele's best friend in recent weeks has been warm compresses around her neck to help the healing process of her vocal cords."

"Producers of the Grammys would love to have Adele perform and open the show, but she isn't able to give them an answer yet. She won't be able to give them an answer until the beginning of February, and they completely understand."

Adele has also lost 25 pounds in recent months, according to reports.
