Many people were impressed by Macklemore texting Kendrick Lamar to say that he just robbed him of Best Rap Album honors at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

Drake was not one of those people.

  • Drake Reacts
  • Macklemore Image

The Canadian rapper-crooner, who was also nominated in that category, spoke with Rolling Stone about Macklemore's gesture, declaring, "that s--t was wack as f--k."

His reasoning behind that view?

Drake was nominated for his album, Nothing Was the Same, but didn't receive any text after Macklemore & Ryan Lewis took home the prize for The Heist.

Macklemore texting Kendrick Lamar may have seemed cool to some fans, but "To name just Kendrick? That s--t made me feel funny," Drake continued.

Kirk Cameron, a former child actor who has referred to homosexuality as unnatural and destructive, took to Facebook this week and slammed the Grammy Awards for featuring 33 marriage ceremonies - many of them same-sex couples - on stage Sunday night.

The unusual event took place during a performance of performance of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' "Same Love," with Queen Latifah officiating the unions.

"How did you like the Grammy's all out assault on the traditional family last night?" the 43-year-old wrote in a post that has since been taken down from his account.

Cameron then went on to promote his new film, Mercy Rule, contrasting it with what he considers to be the abomination of gay marriage.

"Now more than ever, we must work together to create the world we want for our children," he wrote.

Lorde took out a full-page ad in her hometown New Zealand Herald this week to thank her fans for their support in carrying her to her win at the Grammy Awards.

Even cooler? The ad was a hand-written note from the songstress:

The 17-year-old, among the 2014 Grammy Awards winners with two trophies Sunday night, including Song of the Year for her smash "Royals," writes:

“I just wanted to say thank you for the time you’ve given me these past 14 months; finding out about me online or in between these pages or in your headphones.”

Lorde's hand-written drawing of the signature Grammy trophy was a nice touch, as is the fact that she appears truly humbled by having taken it home.

Since that night, she returned home to New Zealand for a homecoming concert in Auckland where she was greeted by a reported 10,000 fans in attendance.

Ariana Grande made the mistake of looking at her Twitter while walking the Grammy Awards' red carpet Sunday afternoon, and it led to a bit of a freak-out.

The songbird, 20, was seen practically in tears after reading comments slamming her appearance, and her handlers buzzed around trying to calm her down.

"She's still not completely comfortable on carpets and made the mistake of looking at Twitter," one source said, adding that one person in particular set her off.

"This blogger attacked her dress but also went after her hair and then more people started piling on. It was just mean. Ariana was like, 'Why am I even here?'"

Thankfully, she pulled it together ... and we have to say, was among the Grammy Awards fashion WINNERS in her flowered Dolce & Gabbana dress.

Still, her extension-filled hairstyle has a been a sticking point for the former Nickelodeon star. A few days ago, Ariana Grande took to Instagram to explain it:

The 2014 Grammy Awards featured an eclectic mix of live performances from the likes of Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Macklemore and Kendrick Lamar.

Popular and diverse acts from across every genre came together at Staples Center to help celebrate the biggest night in music, and rarely did they disappoint.

Well ... don't tell that to NIN's Trent Reznor, who was cut off, and then WENT OFF on the CBS telecast for curtailing what was to be his own live effort last night.

Aside from Trent though ... great stuff all around.

From Beyonce and Jay Z getting freaky to a Lorde Grammy performance that showcased a possible legend in the making, these Grammys had it all.

Who brought the house down? Who was overrated? Scroll through all the performances here to watch (or re-watch) and tell us which was your favorite:

Trent Reznor has some choice words for you, Grammys.

The Nine Inch Nails rocker took part in last night's music award show's grand finale, but was cut off by the closing credits before finishing his set.

Reznor took to twitter (where else?) to express his anger:

"Music's biggest night... to be disrespected. A heartfelt F--K YOU guys."

Trent Reznor Grammys

Hear that, CBS?

Reznor was joined on stage by superstar singers Dave Grohl, Queen of the Stone Age's Josh Homme, and Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham to close the show, but their potentially epic collaboration came to an unfortunate early end.

But i's not like he was a fan of the 2014 Grammy Awards to begin with.

The outspoken artist previously told The Hollywood Reporter

"Why don’t the Grammys matter? Because it feels rigged and cheap. Like a popularity contest that the insiders club has decided."

Tell 'em how you really feel, Trent!

The late Glee actor Cory Monteith's name was embarrassingly misspelled during an "In Memoriam" tribute segment at the 2014 Grammy Awards Sunday night.

When Monteith's name flashed on screen in at the live event, fans and audience members were shocked to see that his surname had the "i" and "e" flipped:

Cory Monteith Grammy Tribute

It's a tough name to spell, and was just an honest mistake the editors regret, but it's still upsetting for many Glee fans still mourning the deceased star.

Cory Monteith was found dead Saturday, July 13, in a room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel in downtown Vancouver after missing his noon checkout time.

An autopsy and toxicity screening showed that the 31-year-old died of an overdose, officially termed mixed drug toxicity, with heroin and alcohol in his system.

However you want to spell his name, he'll never be forgotten. It just hasn't been the same to watch Glee ever since he was taken from us far too soon.

In other embarrassing (but more pleasant) Grammy news ... you have to see the reaction of Taylor Swift thinking she won Album of the Year when she didn't ...

Macklemore and Kendrick Lamar squared off in many categories at the 2014 Grammy Awards, and couldn't be more different as rappers, but they're actually friends.

This was evidenced by Macklemore's classy, apologetic text last night after he cleaned up and Lamar was shut out - something he feels was unfair.

With Macklemore winning four Grammys and Kendrick winning none, the Seattle rapper has morphed into quite the villain online for sweeping Lamar.

However, Macklemore agrees with the haters. He took to Instagram to post photos of text messages he sent Kendrick, all but apologizing for his win.

Admitting he robbed the up-and-coming Compton rapper of an award that even he felt belonged to Kendrick, Macklemore's Instagram photo caption read:

"My text to Kendrick after the show. He deserved best rap album... I'm honored and completely blown away to win anything much less 4 Grammys."

"Get Lucky" singer Pharrell Williams was a big winner at the 2014 Grammy Awards, but the star of the entire broadcast - or at least Twitter - was his hat.

Everyone had something to say about Pharrell, and not because the wildly successful singer and producer earned seven nominations in five categories.

Smokey the Bear’s hat, Arby's restaurant logo and Harry Potter's headwear were among the famous lids compared to Pharrell's unusual Grammys look.

Like any Internet meme, soon enough the hat had inspired countless parodies, and even its own Twitter account with more than 14,000 Twitter followers.

He may not be on anyone's list of 2014 Grammy Awards fashion winners, but his style statement was the most buzzed about, so maybe the joke's on us?

In any case, scroll through some of the best memes of Pharrell's hat:
