Amy Winehouse Leads Grammy Awards Nominees

After enduring hard drugs, and times, of late, Amy Winehouse and Kanye West enjoyed some good news Thursday, earning 14 Grammy nominations total.

Kanye West, 30, whose mother, Donda West, died in November after undergoing plastic surgery at the (shady) hands of Dr. Jan Adams, earned eight nominations, including for the prestigious album of the year and rap album of the year.

Amy Winehouse, 24, who has battled health and substance abuse problems and the incarceration of husband Blake Fielder-Civil, picked up six nods, including album of the year, song of the year and record of the year, and best new artist.

Winehouse was the subject of ridicule even on what could have been a positive day for the British jazz crooner. Announcing the Grammy nods, George Lopez joked, "Can somebody wake her up around 6 this afternoon and tell her?"

Rehab

"Rehab" is Amy Winehouse's biggest hit. And where she needs to go.

Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and T-Pain were the other top earners with five nominations each. Artists with four each included Akon, Rihanna, Tim McGraw, John Newton, Ne-Yo, Rihanna, and Chris Daughtry.

In a race for record of the year with Amy Winehouse ("Rehab") are the likes of Beyoncé ("Irreplaceable"), Foo Fighters ("The Pretender"), Rihanna ("Umbrella") and Justin Timberlake ("What Goes Around Comes Around").

More Pictures From the Grammy Awards

We talked earlier about how Justin Timberlake helped newcomer Robyn Troup live her dream at Sunday night's Grammy Awards. And how His Royal Majesty, Diddy, nearly came to blows with Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight.

Really, what can we do to top that? Not a whole lot. But we've put together some quality pics from the Grammy Awards that we thought you might enjoy:

ROW 2: Mary J. Blige dazzled us as always, as did Season 4 American Idol winner Carrie Underwood, who was named best new artist.

ROW 3: In a rare meeting of Britney Spears exes, Justin Timberlake (left) receives a warm greeting from Kevin Federline. Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo, looking stunning as always, make their entrance.

Robyn Troup Lives Her Dream at the Grammy Awards

Robyn and JustinMove over, Scarlett Johasson: there's a new woman in the life of Justin Timberlake.

Okay, there are reportedly many new women.

But Robyn Troup stands out as the most unlikely of them all.

The Houston native won the "My Grammy Moment" contest last night, instantly appearing on stage after the annoucement and getting down with JT and T.I. to the songs "Ain't No Sunshine" and "My Love."

"This is the most amazing thing to happen to me," Troup said. "I was so surprised when they called my name, I just kept my game face on the whole time."

Former American Idol contestant and current movie star, Jennifer Hudson, announced Troup as the winner, which was appropriate: Robyn actually tried out for the FOX reality competition in San Antonio this year.

Other big winners at the Grammys included the Dixie Chicks, who captured five awards; and Mary J. Blige, who took home three.

But there's little doubt that Troup will enjoy the most long-lasting memories from the show.
