The late Glee actor Cory Monteith's name was embarrassingly misspelled during an "In Memoriam" tribute segment at the 2014 Grammy Awards Sunday night.

When Monteith's name flashed on screen in at the live event, fans and audience members were shocked to see that his surname had the "i" and "e" flipped:

Cory Monteith Grammy Tribute

It's a tough name to spell, and was just an honest mistake the editors regret, but it's still upsetting for many Glee fans still mourning the deceased star.

Cory Monteith was found dead Saturday, July 13, in a room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel in downtown Vancouver after missing his noon checkout time.

An autopsy and toxicity screening showed that the 31-year-old died of an overdose, officially termed mixed drug toxicity, with heroin and alcohol in his system.

However you want to spell his name, he'll never be forgotten. It just hasn't been the same to watch Glee ever since he was taken from us far too soon.

Glee Season 5 Episode 8 closed out the show's 2013 run last night.

In "Previously Unaired Christmas," the focal point was the live nativity scene that Mr. Shue and Coach Beiste organized, and the various roles therein.

Kitty felt unworthy to play the Virgin Mary, while the other members felt that having her step into those shoes might help soften her toward her classmates.

Sue reluctantly declared the glee club the winners, while Rachel, Kurt and Santana got jobs working as elves at the mall with Santa. How did it all play out?

Glee Season 5 Episode 7 took a page out of Jim Henson's playbook over Thanksgiving. Yes, this was a Muppet-tastic episode if ever there were one.

If you ever wanted to see Adam Lambert play puppeteer? You're in luck.

The impetus was a gas leak in the choir room that Blaine start hallucinating. In his altered state, all of his fellow glee clubbers were puppets ... naturally.

Naturally, this resulted in the creation of a "Puppet Master" and musical numbers and that formulated a memorable, and unorthodox, Glee Season 5 Episode 7.

Glee honored Billy Joel this week with Season 5 Episode 6, entitled "Movin' Out." The installment featured some terrific music, as you no doubt expect.

As for the acting and plot development? Somewhat marginal.

Given that Glee's timeline is all over the place these days, it's sometimes hard to keep track of events from that standpoint ... not that you need to care.

Glee Season 5 Episode 6 was all about Blaine auditioning for NYADA, Sam hitting the male modeling circuit, Santana snark and hints of a Sam/Rachel hookup.

Please, let it be so, Glee. Please.

What did you think of "Movin' Out" and are you enjoying the season so far? Want to see last night's show again, or for the first time? Watch it in full below ...

Glee star Lea Michele stepped out for her first red carpet appearance since the tragic death of boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith on Monday night.

The 27-year-old actress looked beautiful and strong despite the devastation she's been through, but onlookers also noticed that she looks very thin.

More so than she ever has. Take a look:

Lea showed off her petite frame in a cut-out Calvin Klein design, revealing some cleavage and underboob with just a peek of her rock-hard abs.

Michele's toned and defined tummy was exposed through a slit in the dress, which was certainly a daring choice regardless of your views on her weight.

The New Directions will belt out their final song in May 2015.

At a television event inside the Paley Center in Los Angeles last night, Glee creator Ryan Murphy confirmed that the series will come to an end after its upcoming sixth season.

He also explained that he and fellow producers will need to write a new conclusion following the tragic death of Cory Monteith in July.

"I always knew how it would end," Murphy said of the final season and how it was meant to be "designed around Rachel and Finn."

"I knew what the last shot was – [Monteith] was in it. I knew what the last line was – she said it to him. So when a tragedy like that happens you sort of have to pause and figure out what you want to do, so we’re figuring that out now."

Glee aired an episode unlike any in television history last night.

A few months after the tragic death of Cory Monteith via drug overdose, the series also killed off his character of Finn Hudson and dedicated an installment to both this fictional quarterback and the real-life actor behind him.

It was a moving tribute to both men.

And two songs in particular stand out from "The Quarterback." First, the cast opened the hour with "Seasons of Love" from Rent; then, later on, Lea Michele somehow summoned the courage to sing "Make You Feel My Life" in memory of her late ex.

Listen to both tracks above and visit our friends at TV Fanatic to download all Glee music from the episode.

Profits from these song sales will go to Monteith’s favorite charity, Project Limelight.
