One year ago today, Cory Monteith died from a fatal heroin overdose.

The actor's shocking passing caused Glee to delay shooting for a few weeks while colleague mourned, especially girlfriend Lea Michele.

She went on to release her first solo album, saying in many interviews that Monteith helped her write many of the tracks and that many were penned with the star in mind.

Take "If You Say So," for example.

Glee creator Ryan Murphy, meanwhile, has already said that he knows the final scene of his series (which wraps up in 2015) and that it will serve in some way to honor Monteith's memory.

We've published the following photo montage with the same goal in mind and continue to extend our condolences to the late actor's loved ones...

Fox has come out and issued a statement that clears up Naya Rivera's status on Glee.

Sort of.

With Internet chatter claiming Rivera has been let go from the Fox comedy (allegedly due to a beef with Lea Michele), the network said on Saturday that “there is no truth to the rumor Naya has been fired from the show. She remains under contract to Glee."

Still, this statement doesn't address talk that the actress was written out of the Glee Season 5 finale, which airs on Tuesday, May 13; or whether she'll appear on Glee Season 6.

Not that Rivera seems too perturbed by her television future. She posted these bikini photos on Instagram over the weekend:

  • Naya Rivera Bikini Pose
  • Naya Rivera Butt Shot

It's been a rough few weeks for Rivera overall, not even counting discussion over her role as Santana Lopez.

The future of Naya Rivera on Glee is very much in doubt.

While earlier reports suggested the actress has been fired from this Fox comedy due to a feud with main star Lea Michele, an insider tells E! News that Rivera has NOT been let go from the series.

However, she won't be appearing on the Glee Season 5 finale either.

But this change allegedly has nothing to do with any kind of Rivera-Michele beef, according to the source.

"I don't know where these stories are coming from, but they are not true," E! writes.

Naya Rivera has been having a rough 2014.

First the actress ended her engagement with rapper Big Sean following allegations that he'd cheated on her, now it appears she's been fired from the show that made her famous.

Rumors of a feud between Naya and Lea Michele  began to circulate earlier this month when it was reported that the co-stars became so upset with one another that they both stormed off set.

Now, Glee producers have apparently decided that the off-screen drama was more than they could handle and they've reportedly fired Naya effective immediately.

The New York Daily News reports that Rivera has been "written off" the show and her character will not appear in the remaining episodes of season five or any of the show's upcoming final season.

The late Glee actor Cory Monteith's name was embarrassingly misspelled during an "In Memoriam" tribute segment at the 2014 Grammy Awards Sunday night.

When Monteith's name flashed on screen in at the live event, fans and audience members were shocked to see that his surname had the "i" and "e" flipped:

Cory Monteith Grammy Tribute

It's a tough name to spell, and was just an honest mistake the editors regret, but it's still upsetting for many Glee fans still mourning the deceased star.

Cory Monteith was found dead Saturday, July 13, in a room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel in downtown Vancouver after missing his noon checkout time.

An autopsy and toxicity screening showed that the 31-year-old died of an overdose, officially termed mixed drug toxicity, with heroin and alcohol in his system.

However you want to spell his name, he'll never be forgotten. It just hasn't been the same to watch Glee ever since he was taken from us far too soon.
