The sex of Giuliana and Bill Rancic's baby has been revealed! It's a boy!

The E! News host and her husband of nearly five years hosted family and friends at a baby shower in Los Angeles on Sunday, where the news was unveiled.

"We are beyond excited to be having a little boy," says Bill.

"We are ready for everything that comes with being a new mom and dad!" added Giuliana, who will be a first-time mother. "We just can't wait!"

Giuliana and Bill are expecting after a struggle that has played out over the past several years, and as she recovers from breast cancer no less.

They couple revealed in April that they were expecting a baby together via gestational surrogate. The little boy will be the couple's biological child.

Congratulations once again!

They've got nothing on the Harvard baseball team, but the lovely ladies from E!'s Fashion Police put together their own "Call Me Maybe" cover video.

These viral video offerings have become almost as big a craze as the pop song by Carly Rae Jepsen burning up the radio, and it's easy to see why.

How can you not want to have fun with your buds and bop around to such an infectious beat? Katy Perry and friends do it. So to the girls at E!

Joan Rivers, Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne, George Kotsiopoulos and a bunch of their fabulous friends want you to call them ... well, maybe.

Giuliana and Bill Rancic have shared plenty of heartbreak with their fans over the years. Now they are doing the same with their long-awaited joy.

In tonight's episode of Giuliana & Bill, the couple visit their gestational surrogate and attend the very first ultrasound for their soon-to-be-born child.

"It's a little bit nerve-wracking because with IVF and with this type of a procedure, there's always a chance that there was a false positive," Bill said.

"We needed to see it to believe it."

With their eyes glued to the monitor, the doctor explains that what they're seeing is "the flickering of the cardiac activity of the heartbeat starting."

"That is just about the earliest gestational age where we can ever detect this."

Giuliana, 37, and her husband, 40, begin to tear up when they think about the long journey that preceded this happy moment they waited so long for.

Said an obviously choked-up Giuliana:

"Seeing that image on the screen is everything we had prayed for and wished for. We just couldn't ask for anything more right now."

"Looking at these first images, all these emotions from the past start rushing back. All the struggles, the shots, all the doctors visits, the tears ... just everything."

Giuliana and Bill Rancic, who have opened up about their struggle to have a child in the last few years, announced Monday that they're finally expecting a baby.

They've bonded with the woman who is making it happen, too.

"She is giving us the greatest gift we're ever getting in our lives," Giuliana, 37, says of the couple's surrogate, whose identity has not been revealed.

"She's selflessly helping make our dream a reality. We adore her."

The gestational surrogate is carrying their child, but it will be their biological offspring. Giuliana's struggles to achieve a viable pregnancy are well documented.

Asked if they plan to stay in touch with the woman once their child is born, Bill says, "That will be up to her, but we are very grateful for what she's done."

"We intend to maintain a relationship with her."

The couple admit they were quite nervous about picking a surrogate before they met the woman they chose, but they clicked with her immediately.

"Once we met her it was an instinct," says Giuliana. "We could tell she was a great person." Bill adds that the Rancics attend her doctor's appointments:

After a long, emotional and often arduous process, Giuliana Rancic and husband Bill are finally expecting their first child! The little one is due in late summer via a gestational surrogate, which means the baby will be their genetic child.

"We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered," the celebrity news anchor and Fashion Police member told E! this morning. Adds Bill, "We are absolutely ecstatic to be sharing this with everyone who has been following our journey."

Giuliana and Bill, whose struggles to conceive a baby have been well documented, and includes failed IVF treatments and a miscarriage, appeared on Monday's Today show to elaborate on the details behind the pregnancy.

Says Giuliana:

"We received an incredible amount of love and prayers from viewers around the world and we want to take this opportunity to thank every one of them."

"It was one of the best moments of my life, if not the best moment of my life. It's incredible. We've been trying for so long, we've been through so much. And to finally get that call from the doctor, it was just another world, another level."

"It was pretty emotional because this was our last stop," Bill added.

Giuliana Rancic is on the top of Dancing With the Stars' wish list for this spring. Whether the ABC hit can actually land her is another story, for myriad reasons.

"Yes, I've been approached for the new season," Rancic confirms.

She certainly has the body for those sequined outfits, as well as a winning personality, fan base and inspiring story (cancer survivor). But is she interested?

Get Well Giuliana

"I've been a big fan of the show for years," she adds. "But sadly, my busy schedule at the moment would never allow for such a grueling rehearsal commitment."

"Who knows, maybe Bill and I can be on the show together in a future season and go toe-to-toe for the Mirror Ball trophy." Now that'd be worth watching.

We're not sure why she thinks she can't put in the time, though. She only co-hosts two E! shows, works every red carpet and stars on her own reality show.

Come on, girl. Make it happen.

Just weeks after undergoing a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, E! News host Giuliana Rancic visited the Today show Friday with husband Bill.

So how is the cancer survivor feeling now?

"I feel great," Giuliana told Matt Lauer. "I feel great considering it's been only two and a half weeks, but I still have a ways to go as far as recovery."

The Giuliana & Bill star, who returned to work this week, has maintained a positive, but candid attitude about her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Make no mistake, this was no easy decision - or ordeal.

"It was definitely hard," she said regarding how she felt immediately after her invasive surgery. "Up until about a week and a half ago it was hell."

Giuliana was on morphine, in extreme pain and sick to her stomach, but with Bill's help, she managed to get out of bed - and set a hospital record!

Giuliana's doctor gave Bill strict orders to help her walk around the bed and the hospital to aid in her recovery, which provided her motivation.

"I asked a nurse what the record was for walking laps around the hospital," recalled said. "It was two," Bill went on. "G did two and a half."

Giuliana Rancic is back in front of the camera at E! News just a few weeks after undergoing a successful double mastectomy. Fans, coworkers and friends rejoice!

"It feels great to be back at work," Rancic, who is battling breast cancer, said. "I wasn't sure I was going to return to E! News this week or after the new year."

"The last thing I wanted to do was rush my recovery."

"Thankfully, I've been feeling better every single day since surgery and this weekend my doctors gave me the green light to get back to work," she continued.

"Even though I moved a tad slower than usual today," she added, "Everyone welcomed me back with open arms and it was just a wonderful homecoming."

Rancic certainly didn't miss a bit as she warmly greeted her TV audience with stories about Matthew McConaughey's and John Legend's engagements.

Moving on to the latest Mission: Impossible movie topping the weekend box office and a little Teen Mom legal drama, she clearly felt right at home.

Good to have you back, G.

E! News and Fashion Police staple Giuliana Rancic has undergone a double mastectomy and is already recovering, even cracking jokes, according to her husband Bill.

Her double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery took place last night as she battles breast cancer, and "G is doing really well," Bill Rancic told E! News Wednesday.

"Her surgery lasted about four hours; the doctors were very pleased with the result."

"She had a little bit of pain through the night but is feeling much better this morning and was cracking jokes," said Rancic of his wife, who we're all pulling for.

G had her own message to share, as well.

"I want to thank all the viewers and fans for their support and prayers," she says. "All the tweets and notes have not gone unnoticed. I am very grateful."

Just get well soon, G. That is all THG asks. The celebrity news and celebrity fashion worlds will go on without you, but they're certainly not the same.

Giuliana Rancic, who announced she was battling breast cancer in October, has decided to undergo a double mastectomy and immediate reconstruction, she says.

In typical fashion, not even such a deep personal struggle stops her from turning it into a positive message that she's ready and willing to go public with.

First and foremost is the desire to educate: "I would like to take the stigma away. 'Mastectomy' the word seemed so scary to me at first," she says.

"After doing research and seeing the advancements, the surgery has come a long way from 20 years ago. The results can be incredible," adds the E! host.

"Not only can it save your life, but you can come out feeling healthier and with a positive self-image. Second, I want to encourage everyone to be proactive."

There's another, more personal reason still.
