Girl Meets World is officially heading to the Disney Channel.

The wildly anticipated Boy Meets World spinoff will premiere in 2014, the network announced today, via press release, with executive producer Michael Jacobs saying in a statement:

Girl Meets World is a new show for a new generation that will be rooted in the same kind of honest, comedic storytelling about coming of age and the importance of family and friendship that made Boy Meets World so popular.”

The new series will star Rowan Blanchard as Riley Matthews, the teenage daughter of Cory and Topanga, to be played by a returning Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel, respectively.

Is Rider Strong set to guest star on Girl Meets World?

While it's been confirmed that he won't be a regular on Disney Channel's much-anticipated reboot of '90s hit Boy Meets World, he may still make an appearance!

Cory Matthews liked it, so he put a ring on it, and a big one at that.

It's been 13 years since Boy Meets World said goodbye to ABC, but Ben Savage's beloved character and Danielle Fishel's Topanga are about to be revived.

In Girl Meets World, which focuses on their daughter Riley, we'll see the couple basking in marital bliss and parenting on the Disney Channel.

On that note, Fishel Tweeted this pic of their rings! Check it out!

Both Ben and Danielle seem to be enjoying their “happily married” status, sharing photos from the set and discussing the joys of being a TV parent.

Looks like Girl Meets World has cast a new boy, too.

Teo Halm will play Elliott, the son of beloved Boy Meets World characters Cory and Topanga Matthews (Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel), in the upcoming series.

Rowan Blanchard has been cast as the titular Girl.

Girl Meets World, the forthcoming and much-anticipated Boy Meets World spinoff, is expected to land on the Disney Channel scheduled for 2013-2014.

The show will feature Cory as a high school teacher, with Riley as his student. Elliott will not be the focus of the spinoff, but will play a key role.

Rider Strong will not be a part of the Boy Meets World spinoff, but Sabrina Carpenter has been cast on Girl Meets World as its Shawn equivalent.

The 13-year-old, perhaps best known for her voice acting role on Sofia the First, will portray Maya Fox on the highly-anticipated Girl Meets World.

Maya is the best friend of Riley Matthews, the teenage daughter of Cory and Topanga (Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel), who are now married.

Rowan Blanchard was recently cast as series lead Riley.

The Girl Meets World pilot officially starts shooting next month, and it seems like a foregone conclusion that Disney Channel will fast-track it to series.

World, meet girl.

Disney Channel's spinoff of Boy Meets World has cast the role of Cory and Topanga's daughter. Rowan Blanchard, 11, has landed the role of Riley!

The pilot, which is told from Riley Matthews' point-of-view, was just officially picked up by the Disney Channel, is set to begin shooting in February.

Blanchard won the part after a national search, EW reports. Her previous credits include The Back-up Plan and Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D.
